Great staff, large selection in the buffet, price is right

Food was good but not overly fresh and barely warm. Hadn't been in years thought we'd try it again. Too bad used to eat there regularly.

Stopped at Smilies for lunch, the choice was good although all the food tasted the same and bland. Doubt we'd go again.

My friends and I have been meeting there for Sunday brunch for years. The staff is friendly but unobtrusive. The dining room is clean and the atmosphere relaxing. Although not the most extensive menu, there are plenty of choices at the salad bar and the entrees include both western and Asian choices. The food is generally fresh and tasty. We have many different food preferences, but we all find things that are to our liking or suit our dietary needs.

The vegetable are not the freshest also are the fruit. The food are give you a oil taste. The sushi rice is too sticky and some is hard. In a positive note, The waiter are very friendly and welcoming specify the asian guys whom are very hot.

Still our favorite buffet to go too. Have been going since the early 90's.

Ordered a few things chow mein, ginger beef, wonton soup, onion cakes, rice, bubble tea-food is decent but nothing special at all. Soup was very bland, beef was mushy, not overly impressed.

Went for the buffet, the food was fresh, refilled often and the service was friendly and fast. Mainly Asian dishes with a few other options thrown in for good measure. Did not need to but had dessert and left full!!!

Cant comment about the food, haven't eaten there. However, I went in to pick up an item for a delivery and the boy who greeted me was very condescending. Not impressed. The door greeter is the face of your business. I will not be eating here any time soon based on this experience. In the future, try to work on your people skills, this will impact business in the future whether you believe it or not.

This spot is excellent! Affordable prices, considerable dishes and the staff members are consistently helpful.

Nice sorta neighborhood place. The specials, Chinese combo plates and steak sandwiches generally are real good. I'm allergic to shellfish so I avoid anything from the fryer but others say the fish and chips and breaded shrimp are great. The lounge staff are friendly and give good service. Not fancy cuisine but you'll find something you like.

Nothing fancy here, they offer a decent selection, no surprises and usually fresh food. Throw in the good service & an owner that cares & you have a nice dinner.

Great service from our server but the food was old, dry and super sweet. I've been going to smilies for 15 years and it's always been great. Don't know what happened here on new years eve....... paid $140 and feel like I paid $120 too much this time. Very very disappointed

It was a very good experience the salad bar is GREAT

Stopped in after bowling. 6 adults and one little girl celebrating her birthday. Had no issues bringing on her cake and even gave us the private room that was t in use. Can't remember our waiter's name (older gentleman) but he was fabulous. Food was good and reasonably priced. Will def be back

I wanted delicious Chinese food today and I got it. Friendly service, safety measures during this crisis and so much leftovers. I will definitely be ordering from Smilie's Village again and hope to sit in the restaurant one day. Support local businesses!

Good selection of food and deserts. Staff were really friendly and service was quick.

Ok but the service was excellent. But the food has gone down. The buns were not made but the restaurant. Finger food for the tossed salad was way to big. The onions had the ends left in and the piece's were still to big for the salads. Was not happy.

Great bar and Chinese food restaurant combination -- well suited for the older generation. {Sherwood Park location}

Everything was very nice. Food was better than average but not awesome. The service was very good. It's a little pricey so bring an appetite and get your money's worth.

Prices are exuberant cream puffs were verystale coffee yes free refills but 1040 for 4 coffees was a lot ridicules

Excellent salad bar. Buffet is good. Great service. I think the price is a bit too high for the buffet.

Food is good quality for the type of establishment. Hot food is hot, cold is kept cold. An important feature for my tastes. Staff are efficient and price is totally reasonable.

The food was too dry. And there was not much choices. Even the desert was dry.
I wanted to try this and I was totally disappointed.

I will not recommend this place

Buffet with good food and a family friendly atmosphere, plus there is a bar/lounge area that u can sit in if you are over 18 I would recommend

The food quality isn't anything special. Most Chinese food establishments in the Sherwood Park area are better.

standard buffet. nothing fancy, nothing poor. prices are a bit high, but still reasonable

I have had there steak sandwiches so many times and it is always the best anywhere, for the price!!!! Will be back!!!! Again and again!!

Went to Sunday brunch for the first time. All our favourites were there, plus breakfast things like eggs Benedict and lots of meat - bacon! Good family place. Lots of memories for our family.

Desert selection poor and not fresh salad bar was ok , food was ok. Not worth the price. Won't be going back.

The food was alright, although the waiter did spill water onto our food when he was refilling our cups. Overall the buffet had a wide selection, but the cold section/ salad bar was not the best.

Hot Asian buffet. Lots different dishes to choose from. Food was nice and hot. Good selection of dishes and lots of desserts. Prices are high so make sure you go hungry.

Buffets are buffets at the end of the day and this is no different, cold clumpy dishes and overpriced everything. Save your money and eat better somewhere else.

I have been a customer since it became Smilies from Steak Village. What is best is the service, quality of the food and portions that have never changed...why this is because Paul the owner builds a family and team atmosphere within. It starts with a VP of first impression Angie, turn right and there is Stacy the bar manager, her bar and uber friendly, turn left and then you have to dine with Willie and all of this is orchestrated by Patrick. Great food and great service is all at Smilies :)

This place is an institution. We go there for all our Father's special occasions.

Hello I have to say the buffet was very good. Selection is rich and good.

Service is excellent, ambiance is welcoming and food is very delicious! We had a very fun time!
