Beautiful, friendly staff. But, unfortunately this place is a run down... they said they were in the middle of renovations. Rooms are dusty and unclean. Beds breaking in, room lights doesn t work. All rooms have a mildew smell....pool wasn t clean a Ugh they could do so much better with everything. But customer service is great. Building/rooms suck.
Well if you like peeling paint, burn holes in bedding, stained floors and couch, zip ties to hold your shower curtain, burned counters, remote missing backing, and rude customer service stay the night here. Also add it was dirty and found old stuff behind bed shower had mildew.
The room had a bad odor but the cockroaches were friendly.
Room cleaning was not that great my husband and I sat up late re cleaning the room...well because its was not cleaned well still had personal items in the room like bread and personal "personal" items,but once we got all tiday and comfortable we liked it, spacious rooms and excellent desk clerks they were nice, there is hot free breakfast every morning I like how they swictch it up the diffrent flavors mix (ex blueberry) for their waffle maker
Hotel was decent, rooms weere clean, breakfast was exceptional. Staff was great. I would stay again if in the area. Housekeeping comes in after one knock or no knock so be sure to put three latch on the door. Pool was dirty filled with bugs and leaves, I cleaned it myself the first day because my kids really wanted to swim. By the 3rd day water was green.
Room was clean, there were a few cosmetic damaged spots, including a missing light switch cover plate in the bathroom & a small hole in the wall.
The breakfast was the only thing we liked not bad for a hotel the rooms...not to good pretty dirty and lights flicker on every hallway makes it look creepy
Hotel was not clean. Never saw a cleaning person while I was there. Looked like seedy clientele. The cost was way too much for what they provided. I notice most people who gives this place is anonymous. Must be staff writing those reviews. Not a clean place at all.

My stay at the Sleep Inn was wonderful love the staff very very helpful an nice. I enjoyed the free breakfast but the only thing that I had a problem with was the construction going on in the room above me that drove me crazy to hear all that noise doin the day while trying to sleep but other then that I enjoyed my stay at the sleep Inn in Sumter,SC.
this is of the worst places we have ever stayed!!! Filthy pool, we were ther from sat. thru tues morning and coukld not use the pool at all! Bugs swimming in it and god knows what else. Yhe room below us had pot smokers in it and traveled up to our room for 2 days!! Smelled like a skunk had been in our room!!! The only good thing i can say that the maids did a good job cleaning our room. If you are going to advertise that you have a pool then you should have someone who cleans it on a daily basis. we will be coming back to Sumter but will choose another hotel and tell everybody we know NOT to stay there! oh by the way we were in room 204 and the pot smokers were in 104!!!
Hotel smells of cigarette smoke and marijuana. Several people requesting deposits back. Switching rooms does not help. Smoke pours through the vents. Slowly undergoing renovations which are desperately needed.
Not worth the price. As these pictures will show. The staff was nice and accommodating. But the rooms left more to be desired. Blood stains on the sheets. Trash around property. Pool area needs work.

No roaches only thing tv kept messing up kept switching remotes then they finally switch us to another room Wi-Fi sucks good thing I had data it was quiet the main thing was pool was not working everything close early.We went to hibachi nasty food me and Husband both was sick stayed in bathroom .We will never come to Sumter S.C.

Room was okay. Bed felt as laying on plywood. Auditor was nice, friendly and patient. When traveling around for work all week, a comfy bed is something I look forward to at the closing of each day and was disappointed on this point.
Ew. Lobby looks clean at first glance, but is actually very dirty. Very sketchy people coming in and out of hotel. Internet is almost as bad as dial up....
The hotel can be very pleasant with a great upgrade. The smell is horrible, floors were not clean, THE POOL..YOU CAN SEE THE DIRT CLEAR TO THE BOTTOM.

Well our experience sucked 1st we called and ask if they were pet friendly and Ralph,the desk clerk said yes.2nd We get there go in to get our room Ask for ground floor so I could take my dog outside and what do we get 2nd floor.We went to the front desk to ask about it and he said do I hear a dog?We said yes,he said we don't allow pets here.We left,they wouldn't give us our money back.We have to wait a day.We will NEVER refer them to anyone.

The motel and room were nice and clean. However, our toilet seat was loose and moved, ceiling fan didnt work, 2 light bulbs were out. The vending machines were out of order and or6 empty on all 3 floors. Breakfast was good. Night desk clerk was very pleasant but the morning shift desk clerk didnt even have the courtesy to speak. Her attitude was like she didnt want to be there at all.
This suppose to be Ecno lodge ... not a sleep inn ... only positive thing is staff ... they are great people ... but hotel is one star ... bath room and shower are horrible ...
Filthy, dingy, appliances old and falling apart. Trash in public areas, checked in at 3 yesterday at 8 this morning all trash and dirt still there.
I traveled to Sumter SC Aug 20th and when I arrived I inquired at the front desk what the room rate was, she said $64 plus an $84 incidental fee. I asked what was the incidental fee for and was told it was a security deposit. I have never had to pay a security deposit at a hotel. I went to another hotel. I will never stay at the sleep inn again
Great location. Good service. Handicap room, but not fully work for all handicap people. Full size bed was too small for me & my husband. People who stay above us were moving & walking all nite long, non-stop... Nice breakfast.
The front desk doesn't honor the choice plan club and tells you this outright and not to keep asking them. The night desk attendant trys to bit your head off if you call about anything.

Okay if you just need a place to crash but I don't recommend. The outside, main entrance and breakfast area look pretty.....the rest is a hot mess of mediocre updates. The room we got (205) has a terrible smell if the heat or air is turned on, almost like mildew. You can clearly see where they cleaned and did not. Ice bucket, coffee thing, all the wood surfaces have marks/smudges or finger prints. The room is so odd and unexpected the closet is at the back by the window. The bathroom is tiny like they had to use a pocket door tiny. The shower is a bit claustrophobic, can't stretch arms all they way out. The walls of the elevator look like something was leaked or spilled around the whole thing. The floor in the hall way are a gross carpet that creeks. The hall way smells like smoke which I don't care what is legal where, some people just don't want to smell it. It was so loud at night which made absolutely no sense to me. We were in a front facing room and it seems that every noise is amplified by 100%. I forgot headphones so let's see how long it takes to finally fall asleep.
The hotel was stylish and well maintained, also close to everything. Many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Hotel staff was excellent. Will be back in the future.
This was the worst hotel ever. The front desk person tried... just plan old clean sheet joint. The bathroom floor was even greasy. The hotel smells like they don't keep ot clean. Rooms just not maintained at all. This is the kind of place where "you get what you pay for" spend the extra 20 and stay next door at the Comfort Suites.
This place is a bit beat up. Nothing that a good remodel wouldn't take care of.
This place was very decent for the money. Convenient location to many things in town. The only complaint I have is the dirty sheets and dusty rooms. Please improve your cleaning routines around the rooms because I found lots of trash under the bed and threw it away for you guys. Other than that you guys offer a free breakfast which isn t bad .
Please save your money This hotel is a DUMP. I had to purchase my own cleaning products to clean my shower an bathroom floor. The pillow cases were dirty this place is cheap for a reason. You will truly get what you pay for here.
I booked my room before Hurricane Florence came into town only to FInd we were going to be trapped an not able to return to home. The hotel would not modify our stay so that we could leave with a refund for the 3 nights we didnt stay. The front desk office staff was found to be unhelpful.

Decent for the price, brought some multipurpose cleaner and did extra cleaning and to smell fresh, staff was friendly, business center Internet never worked after multiple visits and staff could not get it going. Ok if you wanna stay somewhere on a budget. Breakfast choices and setup was nice and clean.
This place gets a double zero from me. Two separate stays which left me disgusted each time. They have to keep their prices low or else they wouldn't be in business u can tell by reading the real reviews. If check out is at 11 am why is the maid knocking on doors at 10 am ? If it wasn't for the latch she would've came right in. Then comes bck at 1030. Like really ? Can i get dress ? Shower something then goes to grab the manager who decides to ask if i was staying another night if check out is at 10 am or if you want your guest out n downstairs by 11 am post a sign up have your employees say this at check in while they running through their spill. And you charge a deposit for what ??? This place is filthy this hotel is at the bottom of the barrel for sleep inns . Carpet hasn't been vacuumed in months must be and this goes for the room and in the hallway . Choose carefully when thinking of staying here.
Check in was okay. Ask staff did they take AARP. Her reply was no but I usually take 10% off. She then said I only have double beds avaliable but the rooms are all the same price . I told her I needed a king bed. Conversation went on with a male just having conversation in the lobby and the staff reply was I have a girlfriend. Where that came from but I'm a customer waiting to be serve. Well the next morning another young lady was at the counter. I showed her the ad of 58.00 and I ask her why was I charge 74.00 and not 58.00. she ask me when did I see it. I told her about an hour after I got here.She said I could of check out and check back in for that price. For the second time I ask do they take AARP and she said yes. Well I told her the lady the first night said no. Anyway she took the discount of my room off. The second lady said your card showed up decline and I told her she swipe and my card register to my email that it went thru. The young lady said well u need to pay the deposit and for the room again. I said no mama I will not.Other guess in the room smoking weed.As soon a a you get off the elevator u could smell it. The staff just not knowledgeable of the job at all. Roaches crawling in the room and the heat and air not working properly. Cords in the hallway
We stayed last weekend on our way to Charleston. On the way home we realized we had left something very valuable to our son I'm the room. We called and Nicole ran upstairs to check. Sure enough it was still there, praise God. She offered to ship it to our home so we didn't have to come 2 hours back out of our way. Not only did she have it shipped but put me at ease when i called back the next day to see of it had been shipped yet. Ups called within 20 minutes of that call with the item in hand. It arrived Thursday with a cute picture on the box and well wishes that it was again safe at home. Thank God for people like Nicole. She could have just brushed it off and said it was gone but instead went out of her way to make sure things went well. Thank you Nicole

Hotel is absolutely disgusting!! Carpet is gross, we checked into our room and there was a roach crawling on the floor and Pubic hair in my bed!! Do not waste your time or money at this place!! They are supposedly renovating, there is laminate flooring other than that this place looks like a dump!! Left and stayed at the Marriott!!

Service was polite and helpful but my 3rd floor room door was misaligned and very hard to close, rain was leaking into the room and falling on the AC unit. The bathroom design was strange. Towels just placed in the cabinet as if no one cared. Some unfolded. The sink is over carpet in the main room.
Musty smelly rooms. Hallways smell of stale cigarette smoke. Electrical wiring sketchy in rooms.
The room was fine - clean enough, comfy enough. Good for the price point. Main weird thing was there were two guys sleeping in the hall near the elevator in the morning. Maybe they were legit hotel guests who had a snoring roommate or something - I don't know. It was just uncomfortable walking past them.
This place is meh . I stayed the nights of Ooctober 5th and 6th. The hallways smell like uncleaned behind. The Coffee pot in my room is missing parts. The doors might as well have been made out of screen because you hear everything. It was late when I checked in. I waited for atleast 10 minutes for someone to meet me at the desk after being on the road for 5 or more hours.
The front desk was very polite and well dressed! The lobby was clean, I know this might sound funny, but it also smelled so good I didn't want to leave and go to my room! Much to my surprise, the room was excellent!

So my second stay here and as much as like to save money it won't be here. Room smelled like smoke which didn't make sense with this $84 incidental deposit. You would think that would buy some type of air freshener. Side entrance lock isn't working so anyone can just walk in. wasn't working two weeks ago when I stayed here The outer hallway smells like weed. Not the hotels fault but, a simple walk through and they would have sprayed some air freshener . You can tell management isn't involved. I'm not expecting the Ritz Carlton but I am expecting better. First room they sent me to somebody was already in. I'm just glad they had they're door locks because I was checking in at 3am and if they were like me and had their weapon with them that could have went left! I guess that's why comfort suites raised they're price. I would suggest putting out the extra money

Bed bugs and housekeeping is rude. I had late checkout but they still knocked on door at 10:30am. I told her I had 1pm late checkout. She said ok then proceeded to knock 2 more times before 11:30am. The GM was supposed to call me, but has yet to do so. Do not stay here.
This place is Sister hotels with Comfort Suites right in the same parking lot. Comfort Suites has bed bugs and my husband got bit up so I'm pretty sure this one has bed bugs as well plus the cleaning staff steals a whole lot. My husband stays here for weeks for his job since he does construction and every time he leaves something valuable in the room it gets stolen there's no use in talking to management because they can't prove it please do not stay here!!!
I arrived at the hotel before 5:00 p. m. to check in, it didn't look like anyone was there because I parked in the first park outside... The clerk on duty was not visible at the counter, until I made some noise... When I told her that I was there to check in and she asked me for my ID and credit card... I gave them to her and she assigned me to room 312 and I asked her if she had anything closer to the bottom and she said no, I go up to room 312 and I am next door to someone that had two children running like they were on the playground... So I go back down to to ask for another room and I am given room 222 which was a floor lower than I got in the beginning... The only thing wrong with this room was that the microwave in the room did not work, it was not even plugged up... Don't think I will try it again...
The room doesn't look like the online pic poorly clean old stove microwave spots on the floor...broken toilet tissue holder...bring your own cleaners...housekeeping does a poor job..hallways need to be properly cleaned

$176.00 a night to sleep in a dirty room and have no towels so I could shower. Two tries to get my keys right. Open drug deal out front. The bed was the only clean thing in the room. Had another room been available in that town, I would have checked out. Management has still not called me back. Never again! Don t recommend this place!!! One star because I have to give one to review!

This place was disgusting. The entire cleaning crew needs to be fired. My family and i stayed here due to us having to evacuate Florida from hurricane Irma..pissed up covers on the bed. Popcorn and pistachio nuts littered over the floor with housekeeping in the hallways arguing and cursing loud about management telling them they need to clean the rooms better. When my husband asked for the floor to be vacuum a housekeeper came in with a hand held vacuum and still didn't get it up but told my husband "its only paint". Dust was everywhere! Sunflower seed shells were in the night stand with a dirty spoon. My godfather got the room down the hall..the entire room was filthy. Management moved him to another room same problem. If u have no other choice to stay here i would suggest bringing your own cleaning products and bedding. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM OR SUGGEST ANYONE RENT FROM THIS FILTHY PLACE

Everyone was very friendly and the food was just what I needed-- better than I'd expected! The bed and pillows were comfortable.
