Bit of false advertising as its a 3 star hotel and not 5 star as claimed. The "Splendid" room I stayed in had stained sofas, seriously dated decor, an old television set and a radio/CD player deck with messy wires on display. There was no fridge and the bed which was supposedly a super king was formed of two single mattresses and fairly uncomfortable. The surrounding area is picturesque and great for walks and exploring. The breakfast we had was good. The hotel would be much better after a refurbishment.

Wonderful setting, very peaceful. Staff couldn t do enough for you and nothing too much trouble. Room was large( splendid room) clean and comfortable. Beds were pushed together but still very comfortable. Bathroom was modern, lovely and big with separate shower and bath and even a fitted shower head to wash your hair in the corner of the bath! Food was awesome, really good quality and we thought well priced for the quality. Great location to discover nearby beaches etc. Over all fab but ...if I were being picky.. furniture in room a bit dated, no cushions on sofa ( could be Covid reasons?) no fridge which would be handy when the bar etc now closes at 10pm. Also the general look of the outside, courtyard, window sills etc just needed some TLC as it made things look a little run down. However.. that said we loved it and would certainly go back!

Incredibly peaceful location. Reception and restaurant staff were so polite and helpful. They are all working so hard to make your stay as normal as possible during these strange times. Food was great too.

How this can be described as award winning luxurious accommodation I do not know!

I m not sure how this place can be classified as a 5 star hotel or even a B&B! This place relies hugely on its location, whilst the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful the hotel itself is far from the picturesque scene displayed on their website.

We were booked for 3 nights staying in one of the granary rooms and whilst the bed was comfortable, there were numerous stains on the carpet and the furniture is cheap unmatched. The carpet itself is just awful, coarse and scratchy that you couldn t walk on it in bare feet, not what we would expect from a supposedly 5 star hotel!

The restaurant was cold, lacked atmosphere, cheap tables and chairs, but worst of all the food was bland and the sauce on both our different dishes was watery, we had to heavily season it to make it edible, we had to leave most of it and informed the staff who advised the manager would come speak to us, we heard nothing!

The building is run down and shabby, just take a look at the pictures, there are no communal areas or proper reception area, it was almost like a hostel.

What made our stay worse is that they closed the bar and restaurant after the first night with no reasons why! This was completely unacceptable as we were in the middle of nowhere, what were we to do.

This place was such a disappointment that we decidedly to check out 2 days early which is something we ve never had to do in our many years of travelling! We informed reception who were not the least bit bothered so we asked for the manager to call us, hours later after we left still no call, we called again and was told that the manager would not be in until the next day but would call us...two days later still no call!

We are completely disgusted at the total lack of basic customer service, we hardly ate the dinner but they charged us for it, we didn t stay for two out of the three nights but they still charged us in full, just terrible! Take our advice and don t bother visiting this place!

This was a night away for my partners birthday. I must say what a beautiful place & the surroundings was amazing, she was really impressed with the stay.
The staff at reception were very friendly and polite, The top notch room in which we stayed in (loose box) was very nice and definitely different with it s original features.
The only negative feedback is that they could do with is an upgrade on the TV & digital system but everything else was lovely.

WOW. They in desperate need to start their Instagram. Such an outstanding beauty so special.

As accommodation concerns a bit dirty in the room. Room is on a small side. Breakfast coffee choice needs to change.

Beautiful old building with stunning grounds to walk, beautiful scenery. Dog friendly. Standard rooms are small, single beds pushed together to make a double. Evening meal was ok overpriced. Breakfast excellent choice a lady serving was very helpful and friendly.
