Great for afternoon tea, booking advised, other food looked great along with a good chocolate shop downstairs. Visible windows into the kitchens to see them making chocolate etc

Brought my girlfriend here for her birthday on Wednesday (5th Aug) and the service was exceptional! All the people serving in the dining room that day were superb. Very polite and friendly and had a nice chat with us. Food and drink was amazing. My first time visiting, willl definitely go back again

We didn't book ( booking recommended) so we waited approx 45mins for a table. Friendly service but not the quickest although it is very popular and busy. We had the tea for two and it was lovely, it came with complimentary drink of tea which was refillable!Tea leaves too....advised to try, lovely building and the Slatterys shop will leave you wanting more.

You usually need to book for the cafe and the carpark is always full. Excellent shop, wedding cakes etc

Simply an amazing place, belgium waffles were simply sublime. Then came the Chocolate Sundae. This is a must visit place for anyone with a sweet tooth. Staff were very helpful with my bad leg, got me an extra chair to rest my leg on.

The best chocolate in the area, not cheap but worth the extra money. The restaurant upstairs serves amazing cakes and afternoon tea. It has a self playing grand piano. You need to book if going to the restaurant because it is always full.

Nice place to eat food good cakes a bit sickly for me but there again Minerva great chocolate fan my daughter went for the cake challenge is massive!! Good luck if you can do it
Great place for cakes for special occasions. Ordered a couple of cream cakes with fresh fruit, day before and staff were happy to have them prepared the next morning. Cakes were outstanding as usual! Friendly staff and the gift shop is great.

Drove 5 hours to get to this place to be defeated by the chocolate challenge within 5 minutes! We're both chocolate lovers & shared one of the challenges between us. It was too much! The chocolate cake is gorgeous but maybe a bit too much ganache which made it quite sickly. The liquid chocolate cups were as nice and the cream isn't spray cream, its thick properly whipped heavy cream. We ventured downstairs after our quick diner departure and purchased a gift hamper - I'm sure this will be greatly received! Overall a fantastic place, chocolate is on par with Hotel Chocolat and the service is excellent! Could not fault it, thank you

Has been good in the past, was a little disappointed with my last visit, didn't seem as special as it once was, pleasant enough food, but based on the last visit it didn't quite reach that 5th star

I beat the chocolate challenge!! Suffering into the late evening still but what amazing service, staff were great and had a fab experience overall I'll come back to try other menu bits but I'm fine just doing the challenge once
Excellent service and pleasant ambiance. The food was very high quality and almost everything comes with a chocolate disc. The hot chocolate was amazing, smooth and rich. The portion was generous and presentation perfect. Needed to reserve a table here and will come again next time I can!

Really good! Recommend it, parking is a paain however it's worth it, great for afternoon tea and really good for general things you would buy from a place as such like chocolates, cakes and other such sweets and treats. Service is really good and overall food taste and quality is really good too. I would recommend booking in advance otherwise you could be facing a long wait, sometimes even when you book a table ahead of time you can still end up waiting a little while.
First time at slattery and we enjoyed our lunch the service was excellent
Took my Auntie as a treat for her upcoming 80th birthday and as usual the standard was amazing and she enjoyed everything. Back again in 3 weeks with friends.
Went for the chocolate challenge and it's certainly a challenge. But amazing quality chocolate to be found here, staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return for a more normal lunch some day soon and will certainly require more of that hot chocolate.

Nice little shop selling all you might need chocolate and cake wise. Also selling other takeaway lunch food. The restaurant upstairs was busy, especially for a tuesday as we had an hour wait. If you can hang around and wait(you should!) it's more than worth your while. Teas, hot chocolate and coffees along with many chocolate desserts. Great looking afternoon teas, including a kids version which I may well bring my son along for. Stuck for an idea. I highly recommend the ploughmans lunch. Staff were great throughout, friendly and smart even in the rush. Will almost certainly be back

Or second visit and its proved its as good as we first thought. I would recommend that you dook at busy times. We visited on a Tuesday at 13.30pm and it was chocker.

My family have been using this family run bakery for a very long time. All the extended family use this bakery too, infact a 30th bithday cake was ordered last week, by family member now living in Stoke, who is happy to travel back here because she is so confident the special cake will be fabulous and exactly what she wants. This is the latest in a very long line of wedding, birthday and other special occasion cakes we have ordered. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The design, level of skill and incredible workmanship used in making these cakes is unbelievable. There is also a lovely cafe on the first floor, which is very nicely decorated, again the service and quality of the food is excellent. Highly recommended.

Staff were helpful when I asked about the products and friendly. Quality items. Cakes were fresh and delicious. Chocolate is to die for.
