Great 9 hole course for how close it is to the city.
Edmund was super welcoming! Our first time on the course and we had a great time in spite of the cold weather! The starter was very informative about the holes, several of which are challenging! We all left happy when everyone made par on the final hole! We'll be back!
An excellent 9-hole Golf Course on the west side of Jersey City. Happy to go play a round of golf anytime I have the opportunity. Very friendly staff and very well-kept course make it a pleasure to play on just about any time.
To pay 54 dollars for 9 holes, you would expect professionalism, customer service and at best. A manager and or greeter with a positive welcoming attitude.
However, that probably explains why some of the other staff there are equally unprofessional and feel inconvenienced when a customer needs assistance. ( The young lady selling the water at the club house)
They have to put down their personal phones while on company time to work.
Lead by example they say, well I feel bad for the poor leadership happening from Mr. Burke( I believe that was his name)
The course as a hole was actually in good condition, but with the constant push to keep everyone hurrying to the next hole because of a 15 minute rule.
It takes the fun out of it because your constantly feeling pressured. I understand and respect no lolly gagging, but being viewed by on lookers from the company staff basically tapping their watches isn't necessarily what we expect.
Keep in mind, 4 people walking from hole to hole and 15 minutes is all you get?Doesn't sound like a relaxing day at the course.
I personally won't be returning, but maybe this method of madness is your style. Good luck, stay safe and may God bless
Golf course was overall pretty good. Conditions were good. The only downside is the wait on every hole and that it is only a 9-hole course. It's a links style course that's also close to the city. One fo the better 9-hole courses around the area
Great little course on the river. I suck at golf but I had fun and the rangers really work to keep things moving.
I love this course. Try to play every week. One problem is that the white tees are too foward and the gold tees are too far back.
Very nice condition as alwaysand a challenging 9 holes from tips and look out when the wind picks up! Would be 5 but the greens, slick and fast, are over-undulated, where good shots leave brutal putts regardless. This slows play as we see many 3 and 4 putts. Staff is friendly and everything run good as any course around. When is Hudson County going to spend some of the millions and millions of park money to make this 18 holes??? I have been waiting 65 years!
A challenging 9-hole public course with water-breezes from the Havensack River and views of the bridge and Manhattan. Course is super tight, but they make a small space lovely with great landscaping. Golf carts, a pro shop, and a bar/cafe.
