Awesome field! The refs are fun, the staff behind the counters are friendly and more than willing to answer questions and if they are not sure o do not have the answer are willing to admit it to keep false information from spreading.
The fields are nice though some could use more terrain for people over 5 ft tall but that's just a minor complaint by someone who has severe back and knee problems. If you go to a paintball field with a relaxed environment and refs who bring you back to the main store after every few games to get more paint and water, this is the place to go in northern Virginia.

Skyline Paintball had always been the best in paintball experiences. The time and effort that Chris and Sam put into the fields along with the work Sue and Alexa put into making the office experience second to none is commendable. They really are the best place to go play and enjoy some great family time, or some competitive action with the boys (girls too). You should make it a must do event and check them out for yourself. You won t leave disappointed.
Chris, Sue, your family and staff make the whole experience complete. Thanks for all of the memories.
About the best place in the area to play paintball. Love that they are doing the CFOA tournament series and would like to see some more 5 man tournament events for D5 and D6 players at some point! Maybe a "Skyline Tournament Series" with the same rules as PSP and host it using APPA just like they do with CFOA? Just a suggestion but a great place to play paintball for tournament and walk on players alike none the less.
One of the best places I have ever played. Amazing mature referees and staff. Well run operations and get the most for your money. Many fields make it worthwhile to return often.
Had a great time just two problems. Number one is more of a suggestion to rental plates to purchase your own mask as the rental masks fog up extremely easily. Number two is a issue with refs not enforcing rules. Masks were remove at the end of matches without being in the dead zone and and even as soon as players were shot they would take of their masks and refs didn t do anything about it in fact most refs took their masks of at the end of matches. Other than that had a really good time and will be coming back sometime soon.
Extremely organized and friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend to anyone who enjoys paintball at any level (novice-advanced.) Signing up online was simple and the price was very reasonable for all we got. Thank you for a great experience!!!
This field is great. It ranks above all others ointment terms of field design and playability. This is the scenario players dream field. It is easier to access that hogback. The staff recognize the efforts of the milsim folks and present games in a fashion that make it more than just elimination. The only thing that could make this field better is running water.
We had a group of 14 people for my daughter's 13th birthday. The staff were all amazing and patient with our very large check in list. Everyone was pleasant and followed the new guidelines regarding COVID to keep everyone safe. I cannot remember for the life of me the name of the gentleman who was our leader/referee but he was awesome and accommodating to any issues that came up with guns or paint checks. We had an amazing adventure at skyline paintball!
I brought a group of 90 people here last week and they had a great time! Chris and Alexa ensured that we had everything ready before we arrived. They explained everything on site, moved us to game play quickly and made sure any gun corrections were made immediately. The refs and courses were very good. Everyone who attended wanted to ensure that I placed Skyline Paintball on our list of places to visit next year. Can't say enough good about this place.
Great place for fun with friends, family and company outings! Great staff and facilities with 10+ playing fields, helpful staff and a great outdoor environment for exercise and sunshine!
My kiddos have always had a blast coming here!! We are always greeted with a smile by Megan, who has more energy and patience with kids than any elementary school teacher could wish to have. 100% recommend bringing your kids for birthday parties or to expend energy!!
Booked a group package for my sons 10th birthday. We all had a blast!! The employees were super nice. Love that they have several different fields. The town was one of my favorites! Can t wait to go back!! I definitely recommend!!
Great place to play, fields were great. Had bought a coupon for entry fee with rentals. coupon did not include air or paintballs. We were forced to spend an extra 25$ per person for "air for the day" and 500 paintballs (6000 paint balls total). Whats the point on buying the 12 party coupon if your forced to buy the more expensive, less amount, paintballs! You do save about 150$. The annoying part was the person at the cashier. He tired to convince me that I was save 35$ per person, so i shouldn't be complaining. It bothered me for sometime until a few days ago, went i add it all up. To tell you the truth i didnt mind the extra fee because it was in the small print. I just think your cashier could have handle it better. I felt like he lied about the 35$ saving to shut me up. If you could make a separate charge for just air that would also be nice. But i do understand your a business that needs to make money.
Great place to play paintball! The refs are respectful and listen to any questions you have. The maps are great and pretty big so it's more fun. They have many types of guns and you can buy a lot of needed gear here as well as rent it
Pros- Woods fields and on a scale from 1 to 10 I would give a solid 8! Refs are good and fast and fair on calling out paint checks etc.etc. They are organized! If you wanna play you will get a good amount of game play in! There store was well stocked, fair prices and they are help full. Always high marks when you can bring your own paint!
Cons- Only for us! We have to drive about 2 hours from Maryland to get there and Virgina traffic always sucks taking even longer to get home....
Great spot for parties. We just my son's birthday party here every year. Well organized and high energy. The refs are informative and keep the games moving nicely. My boys com ing home bragging about the shots and showing their battle bruises from the paintballs. The specialty events during Halloween are a riot!!! I laughed more than I killed zombies. So much Fun!
My son and I visited on the 10th of January 2021. We did 2 hours of walk on and had a blast. It was my sons first time paint balling. He is already asking when we are going back. There was a good mix of people in the game and the fields were awesome. I would highly recommend going.
Brought a group of 7 people playing for the first time and after an hour i was told i have to be separated because my marker was electric. Some places will tell you on arrival not to use ramping or full auto, I only ever use semi anyway, but I was told that just because it was electric I had to play with another group of like 5 dudes with speedball guns. If this policy would have been on the site or explained before i was charged $70+ for one round of play we probably would have made other plans.
Oh and in my friend's final game (i just sat out rest of the day) one person was hit 5 times in the back by someone on the other team running full auto...what?
So during my last game I got startled and I shot one of the refs right in the stomach.....just want to say that the guy was incredibly nice about it and that the whole staff was friendly and helpful in general.
You guys were completely off the chain. Service was great. Equipment always worked. All zones were fun and exciting. Well worth the little money it cost. Definitely going to do this again. Since it was my 1st time
Went with another friend and our 8 grand kids and it was absolutely awesome! Staff was fantastic and most accommodating, even to the point of allowing us to change days due to weather concerns. The kids are still talking about how much fun it was. Being from upstate NY, we are a long ways away, but we will definitely come here again next time we are in Virginia.
Awesome fields, good refs, nice private group pricing. Only took about 1 hour from Northern Arlington and just over an hour from Bethesda. We had a group of 16 guys on the Silver package. We ended up buying two more cases of paintballs ($50 ea) because we were having so much fun. Our group is excited to go back and we would all highly recommend Skyline Paintball.
I moved to the area this past winter, and began coming to Skyline a few months ago. The staff and owner are very friendly, are knowledgeable about the sport and products they offer, and host a great place to play "rec-ball". Pricing is fair, they do offer season passes at their storefront location in Winchester (you can purchase paint there as well), and you're sure to have a blast.
There are several fields, which they rotate between, and each offers a different feel. They have fields with buildings (one and two stories) and cars, others that are fully wooded, some have a mix of man made and wooded bunkers, "maps" with earthen barriers/bunkers, and scenario themed maps where you have an objective (attack/defend). I have not played on every field they offer, so I can only comment on the ones I have first hand experience with. That being said, they do have an airball field and a hyperball field.
From my experiences at Skyline, I have nothing but positive comments to say about the establishment and staff.
Recommendations for new players/ first timers: Wear long pants, sunscreen and bug spray are a must in summer, the road entering Skyline is gravel and low cars are not optimal (standard height is fine, but nothing lowered), lots of fluids and snacks as you will be walking extensively and running around all day, ask the staff questions they are there to help you and provide any information that you may be seeking, bring towels preferably microfiber to wipe hits off your person/gear, and wear appropriate shoes
Recommendations for Skyline Paintball: Carry more options of paint/ take paint orders, utilize the speedball field (every time I have been there it is not in use, or is "team practice only").
My Paintball Experience: NCPA (2A), PSP (D3), XBall (D3), NXL (D4); I've been playing since '99
We brought our Cub Scout Pack today for the Low Impact paintball and they all loved it!! The staff was super helpful and accommodating. We cannot thank Skyline Paintball for making our event a success!!!
1st time there and had a blast the 2 refs we had was the best and very professional...everything from fields to air fulling was greats..my only problem was the paint but It worked. Someone said someone was shooting different paint and I was ask to show what I was using not mad very happy they came to check safety first
I go here almost every year with my buds. I love this place. Everyone there is friendly and even the pros wil take there time in the games to help you out it s the beat 10/10 would recommend for newcomers and pros alike
Awesome place! We scheduled a team building office adventure for our holiday party and the entire staff was fun and the experience was affordable and memorable. I highly recommend!
Great field & staff! Went out and played walk-on last weekend - first time playing in over 10 years. Awesome experience, super smooth check-in (waiver online), *great* reffing! They are extremely active in promoting their field on social media and it pays off - there were 30+ walk-ons - perfect number - no too many, not too few... Very happy and will be playing regularly at their field now that I'm back in.
My son and I... And occasionally a friend or two.... Have been playing here the last few years... Never had a bad experience... Always fair prices considering the sports limited community in this area.... Cool and casual....friendly staff... A must do for any and every one....
This is the best paintball field in northern VA if you want to have fun. Not too hilly, not too small, great friendly staff! The friendly, helpful attitude of staff and refs sets a great example for the players. The staff is more than willing to help with equipment issues. They are also very safety oriented, really making sure masks and barrel covers are on when needed.
