It was a great experience. We were the second to arrive on a Saturday morning. The weather was great and had a clear sky. They called us prior day to inform that it could be windy in the afternoon. And possibly cancel if the weather gets worse. Fortunately we were able to register to the first group when we arrive. We had an unused Groupon from last year. We couldn't go last year after rescheduling twice due to bad weather and a mechanical issue. This year we got the chance and they honored the last year Groupon. I was paired with Keith and he was so awesome. I'm afraid of heights and he made sure I was comfortable. We spent about three hours and they mention to be prepared spend half a day over there.
I would have given them 5 stars but once you check in and pay you're kind of on your own. You have to wait an unknown amount of time and listen for announcements on the very hard to hear PA system. I spent 5 hours waiting for my turn and every time I inquired, i was told various versions of "soon".
The actual skydive experience was excellent and the instructor/tandem partner was super nice and laid back. The photographer was also great - super happy with the amount and quality of the pictures.
no words can quite describe the feelings you experience when you get the chance of exploring this opportunity in life. Pepperell did an amazing job and was very neat and organized even during these tough covid times. i had instructor Keith and he was absolutely amazing and made my first jump so outstanding i m interested in pursuing this hobby further and know it s definitely not my last!!! was lucky enough to see a group of experienced divers do some jumping as well and they performed some tricks in the air before i departed into the sky. this was overall an outstanding experience, wouldn t change a thing unless it were to have jumped again right after! make sure you have a friend designated for videos to take of, though they do offer video packages as well which i purchased the handcam since the videographer was only available for weekends at this time period that i attended. Thank you Pepperell Skydiving for letting me get on the bandwagon of skydiving and can t wait to see you again and head back up in the sky!!! Best day ever and more experiences like these yet to come thanks so much!! greatly appreciated!!!
*this review is written by my 2 sisters who jumped as a birthday present*: Scheduling was tough at first because the weather would just not cooperate (cloudy/fog/high winds) so the jump had to be rescheduled 3 times before today. However, when we finally got there, the whole process was quick and seamless. Watched a 30 minute video about the risks, signed the waiver, had a quick training, and then we were in the plane. It was an amazing, indescribable experience. Dress warm because the first 40 seconds of free falling were coldddd!
Good place, you can sit on the rocks and see the planes take off
We had a fantastic first tandem jump for our anniversary! The instructors were humorous and made the experience of jumping out of a plane 2 miles above the ground much less nerve-wracking. We had to reschedule a few times because of the weather but the staff were helpful with the process to make sure we'd get our jump in. Totally worth it!
Awesome staff and experience tandem jumping. Courtney who runs scheduling was really accommodating after my first scheduled jump got delayed for clouds. She worked with me to get a day that would suit my schedule.
Caleb was my tandem instructor, he was awesome. Very professional, explained everything and you can tell he has a passion for what he does. Could not have asked for a better experience. I ll be returning next year to go for my Class A license
A friend of mine booked us a jump at this location and it was a lot of fun! The location was pretty straight forward driving to it. They also had covid rules in place that made me feel comfortable with jumping there. The only thing that was a bit off was the liability portion of the experience. I could empathize with a mom and pop location that needs to show you a 15 minute video about all the rights you waive when you decide to jump and all the precautions they take to keep you safe. Totally appreciate it and understand the reason behind it. However, on a surface level it took a bit of the fun out of the skydiving experience before we even jumped. Also, it definitely scares new jumpers more than they need to be scared. That wasn t my first jump so I was fine but it was my friends first jump and it spooked her a little more than what was needed. Sky diving is supposed to be a surreal and memorable experience, so if possible if you could at least have someone at the end of the video or a staff member try to pump people up that would be a good twist to it. Cause it leaves a sour taste in your mouth walking out of the room having signed 10+ waiver papers and seeing that video. Other than that everything was great. Getting the equipment on was easy. Waiting was fine and the plane was clean and spacious. My tandem jumper was wicked nice and made the jump a lot of fun. Even with the lengthy liability stuff the location was fun and would definitely still recommend and I would go back for sure.
The experience was unforgettable! The free fall was my favorite and wished it last longer. Definitely an experience like dreaming while awake. Caleb was a spectacular instructor! Definitely would like to pick him for my next jump!
