Skycity Casino Darwin Review

We had a lovely lunch at The Vue on new year's eve day. The view was stunning, the service excellent and the food - oh my. I will definitely be back for more of the delicious fare! Many thanks for a lovely day.

Customwr service was excellent and drink was made extremely well.

Wonderful and relaxing place to view the sunset. Good good and drinks at the bistro. Happy and helpful staff.

One of my favorite places to dine and to relax. The Sports Bar is well set out and the Sand Bar is great for a drink and meeting people.

I love Chinese food and again there is a excellent restaurant there as well

It was a pleasure to stay here while away on business. The facilities are spectacular, clean and the staff super friendly and accomodating. Some of the best views and spots in the world in my opinion.

Gorgeous views of the ocean, a pool bar and a bloody mary to cool down. A lovely way to spend an afternoon in Darwin.

We enjoyed our experience at sky city very much so, what could have been better was more wheel chair access there needed to be a ramp outside the Chinese restaurant instead of two lots of stairs.

The rooms by the lake pool are great. Nice relaxing time

They need bug spray in the cocktail bar out the back :/ $20 cocktails should fund it... nice cocktails though

Skycity staff stole our mobile phone chargers. Realised within a couple of hours of checking out of the hotel and called them immediately. Due to their long processes I had to call back quite a few times - finally was told they only found one cord for the iPhone but no wall socket and the entire Samsung charger gone. Took 2 days to get this response and pretty annoyed at the dishonest staff.

Issues with our reservation, having been promised a room and did not receive. Breakfast was average at best and the waitress that served us all morning then didn t recognise us when we went to pay and proceeded to show us to a table!!! The place was empty ????

To top it off the concierge didn t assist at all with bags in the pouring rain on checkout. Didn t even attempt to open the plastic sides to the buggy or help carry or load anything. Ended up with soaking wet luggage on our laps. Poor service

Waste of time and money and do not recommend. Overpriced backpackers at best.

Amazing stay in the resort with lagoon access room. Only downside was the bed could have been softer, otherwise brilliant.

Nothing flash but a nice place to stay, rooms clean, Sandbar is a great place for a beer.

I would've rated the rooms a five, except, it was an icebox, some bs excuse, couldn't be turned off cause of season, so as I said HAD to sleep in icebox.!!!, Don't do food in Darwin, not good anywhere !! pool was sensational specially after freezing all night, was nice to get into warm water and thaw out.!!

Meal at Il piatto very ordinary. Ordered the pasta dish on special with salami and mushroom sauce for $30. Got a small serve of pastra dish with a cheap lentil type sauce. Will not eat there again. Ripped off.

Ok spot. Just a casino though. Good for a sunset drink.

Everything you need after a cross country flight from Perth in a 2 engine Moonie. Cool air, clean sheets and tasty food. Good enough for me.

The staff were great, and the rooms clean. The seaview room was excellent.
It was warm outside, but the airconditioning was very cold - even on the warmest setting, and we couldn't switch it off - we were told you couldn't.
So we slept with the doors wide open.
Otherwise very happy with our stay

It is a Casino. What else can be said unless you are in to Casino's. Nice front bar with great views and good range of cold beers. Loads of machines, typical row upon row. Possibly one of the "nicer" casino's but we only went looking for a cold drink.

Lagoon rooms are nice, food average. When you pay $500+ a night for a room and you can t order something as basic as a milk shake is disappointing. 5 star service is questionable, will not accomodate basic requests.

We stayed at Mimdil Beach Casino Resort in February 2020. Unfortunately it wasn t a great time to visit the region with the wet season and all done ended up spending allot more time at the resort than we d expected.

Both the lagoon pool and the infinity pools were lovely but there is way too much furniture around the infinity pool. It was nice to relax by the pool with a beautiful view of the beach by day and have a cheeky gamble at the pokies our roulette table by night.

The room itself was nothing fancy. It was clean and spacious but quite outdated. We ate Chinese from the restaurant twice whilst there once dine in and once in room. Delish!

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Skycity is always our venue of choice when we want an all you can eat night.

These so called guests that give a great rating was either drunk or delusional from anywhere
or interstate and international people who have no idea what goes on in this place so please people be aware your getting ripped off every which way . thanks and have a great day in the top end. Atm they don't want me to post this

I found the hotel to be clean and with a modern fit-out, even though the building might be getting a little dated. The staff are excellent & there are plenty of dining options. The beach in front of the hotel is lovely, as is the swimming pool.

Verry Poor, I wont be back again , like others have said, small, extremely bad customer service, appalling layout !!

Staff were lovely, very friendly and accomodating. Room was comfortable. Food & alcohol delicious but totally overpriced. Wifi in room was woeful to non existent.

There is this infamous bridge that connects your room to the hotel and goes over the lagoon. Its an awesome place to stay. Had way to much fun to post anymore photos :)

Had a great time catching up with my bro and my uncle. Great facility!!!

Lagoon room absolutely beautiful. Room service good pretty good and not over priced. Lots of restaurants to choose from and pool was amazing!

Ate at The Vue and unfortunately they are no longer doing buffet only ala carte menu. The dining area is very dark and dim and not many families to be seen. A nice quieter dining experience more so for the elderly. The foods was good though. We had the pig and prawn platter which looked pleasant and the meat was tender and the prawns were fresh. One of the kids had kids spaghetti and it was delicious too. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The room we booked was like a shoe box nothing like the pictures. A table and a desk butted up together. The so called balcony facing a wall. Not five star at at. Only a small area looks five star. We were so disappointed we asked for a better room for our 12 day stay. For the privilege we had to pay $1200 more, only to be put in a larger room that was totally outdated. The wooden blinds do not shut properly. The pictures on the wall are falling off. The ironing board did not stay up when I was trying to iron and it fell on my foot. Had to set iron on top of the coffee table.. Air conditioning didn't work and had to wait until the next day for a fix. Toilet wouldn't flush and had to wait until the next day for a fix as well. Had to ask for a mattress topper and got a sad excuse underlay I stead. After four days of parki g in the same spot they told me I needed to pay $15 from now on. They seemed totally uninterested in that they couldn't revoke a service they were providing. Only after getting angry they decided to do me the huge favour.. The so advertised spa isn't opened day. Not that they say that. The gym is located next to a smoking area. Neither gym nor smoking area are in a closed room, so you need to inhale smoke while you exercise. This is barely a 1 star. A 0 would be more appropriate. The elevators are filthy

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the pool is absolutely perfect. Everything else about this place is quite dated and sad, and I would expect much better service for the price paid. Rooms ahevnt been spruced up in decades, the TV didn't turn off, I couldn't get through to reception on any of the phone numbers provided, the breakfast buffet was dried up and sad, and service was almost none-existent, and all the gates that were most convenient for us to access the pool were permanently locked. The whole resort is in serious need of some TLC. Still, hanging out at this pool all day for the price of a couple of cocktails would be appealing even for non hotel guests!

Great place for an evening out.... plenty to see and do

balcony railing, paint peeling, $6.50 for a spa bomb is ridiculous for the money paid. no biscuits to have with cup of coffee, you get that in $100 motels overall room good. spa & bathroom very good with a 10 for the shower. staff curtious & helpful. walk to room did not put you in a good place with dated painting & rust stains down walkway walls. towels lovely & thick but could use some fabric softner. bath robes excellent
overall room 8 out of 10. aircon excellent

Saw Diesel perform. Venue was great. Service was fantastic. Diesel was phenomenal. If you ever get the chance, don't miss him.

Chose the hotel for its closeness to mindel, made it easy to get ready there and walk to summer sessions, and being at the casino meant we could enjoy ourselves when summer sessions sucked, bit pricey though for those rooms against an unheated pool, other than that was an enjoyable time!

Location location ,amazing beautiful place walk out front to the beach ,if you order a king parma it feeds 2 people been awhile since ive seen something overhang my plate and delish tap cartlon draught whats not to like

Awful place bad odds gaming machines hardly ever pay, nasty security gaurds,plus they let abusive intoxicated people stay inside

Cool venue. Went there for the McGregor main event fight, could not place a bet due to the only TAB being in a section of bar closed due to capacity.... Disappointing.
