9-30-18 follow up. Arrived at 1:25 pm, opened at 1. Took 30 min to get inside. But it's so crowded with really little kids that my 13 yr old id done after about 15 min here.
Suggestion: Open a 2nd window when the line is 50 bodies deep.
Follow up on 7-30-18. Recent month's experiences have been better than first trips here. But tonight at opening of the 5:30 session, you had hot dogs, but were out of ketchup, and out of BUNS for the hot dogs. Oddly, I was offered hot dogs without buns, without ketchup. Really? We ended up with 2 slices of pizza and 1 order of mozzarella sticks instead of 4 hot dogs. No offer to refund the 4th item we paid for. I shouldn't have had to ask, and I didn't bother.
First time at this location. Love the overall facility, floor condition could be better. Big disappointment with food. Not busy at all but still waited 10 min for a hot dog after I ordered, and it was half cold and half barely warmed. Very disappointed in the hot dog, about the only way to screw one up is to serve it cold... having 2nd thoughts about a bday party here in a few weeks.
Edit... Thanks for the response. We did in fact come skating on our son's birthday, but not as a party, just for the skating.
We skated yet again today. Very disappointed in the overall safety situation on the floor. Many kids continually turned and skated the wrong way. An adult male skated way too fast AND backwards for at least the first half of the session. Another adult male played roller derby with his 8-10 yr old son, slinging him around way too fast just before the curves. A large group of girls kept standing at the side wall blocking the view of those of us sitting at those smaller tables.
For the most part, all of these issues were ignored by staff throughout the session. In one instance, a "referee" skated by a young girl with one of the helpers, who was going the wrong direction. She told her she had to go the other way, as she went past her. After going past her, she looked back over her shoulder, saw the kid did not turn around, and stuck her arms out and did a big shrug, and that was all. There had to have been half a dozen or more falls that resulted in the kid NOT being able to get up right away, as parents and/or staff rushed out to help. I believe these falls were likely related to the overall lack of enforcement of the safety rules that are in place. My 13 yr old son is a decent skater and can usually avoid bad situations on the floor, but even he got wiped out by a younger kid suddenly going sideways right in front of him, and he ended up with 2 skinned knees that hurt worse than the blisters he gets every weekend from skating.
I'm sure we'll keep coming, as you are easily the closest place for us, but would you PLEASE do something more to enforce safety rules on the floor? Today there was even a young girl that took her DRINK out on the floor and did at least a full lap with it. As she skated by me I told her she couldn't have it on the floor. No one else was bothering to say a word to her.
Another visit, on 4/21. My son is 13. He likes his music loud, but even he is complaining that it is way too loud. If we keep coming here we'll both soon be deaf. The male DJ needs to stop yelling into the mic. It totally distorts his voice. I can hear him CLEARLY with my ears plugged. Does no one on staff realize he's trying too hard to be heard? Please STOP YELLING!!!!!!
