The main advantage is that it is at a walkable distance from the main museum from
where you begin sightseeing in Polonnaruwa.
Our rooms were large and comfortable with the pool outside the window.
The bathroom was very good with great water pressure .
The beds were comfortable and the room were large and very cleaned and well maintained
And also air conditioning worked well.WIFI Was Very Good in the pool side and the My Room.

First I must say, that we had booked quite cheap.
The room was very spartan. No cupboard or dresser for storage. In front of the window was directly the outbuilding. So we left the curtains closed. That was relatively big.
The bed OK.
The garden was very nicely laid out, as was the pool. Unfortunately, there were no conditions for the beach chairs and umbrellas.
Wi-Fi is only in the restaurant. The staff was rather inattentive. We sat once 45min and were not asked if we wanted something. The breakfast was totally OK. Borrowing bicycles costs extra, but was only informed when paying the hotel bill. The hotel is relatively central, but there are hardly any restaurants in the whole place.

Amazing Location, One of the best place to stay when you are travelling in Polonnaruwa area.Very Reasonable Rate, and most of all, the friendliest staff I have ever met. Nice place to relax.

Went to the resort for lunch : even though it was largely empty, service was very poor. We had to wait to have our order taken, waited for our drinks and then our food to be served! Rice and curry was just Dhall and one vegetable dish - which were easy on the palate. Our bill took time and the server informed us 'cash only. Our card machine is not working!'. This is one place we won't be visiting again in a hurry!

It's looks they are not trained in hospitality industry,
I had a bad experience with them some room service things,
Even they not apologized.

Very close to the old city, in a convenient location. The old building room equipment is ordinary, just suitable for a rest. Overall, the outside courtyard and swimming pool are good, but the facilities in the room are not satisfactory. Suitable for accommodation but remember to kill.

This was the worst hotel from our trip in Sri Lanka. Everything was very bad, very bad room ( very small, stinky room, bad shower and toilet). We didn't had any comfort. The room was also not very clean. Not even a chair, not TV, no internet, poorish furniture, no spot for electricity. Stairs were very narrow, dangerous, you can easily hit your head.
Poor dinner and very poor breakfast.

Went for a meeting .. good service overall and they provided a tasty lunch with traditional non oily foods... not much variety in foods but its worth the price... comparatively low prices.

Stayed in Polonnawura at another accommodation and met the manager/owner (?) of this establishment at one of the local historical sites, as he tried to drum up business in these trying times from Sri Lankan tourism.
We decided to go for dinner and we're suprised to find the place empty.
The man we met earlier greeted us and was very kind with advice on our further travels/answering our queries in excellent English.

The food was great, with us ordering a pork curry/rice and a BBQ chicken/fries.
I loved the curry, as it reminded me of the Sinhalese curries I've made at home over the years.
Thick, rich and very tasty!!

The BBQ chicken was a bit dry, but the curry won it all...and the host was great.
I even spoke briefly to the chef about our respective curry making techniques.

Cannot comment on the accommodation as we did not stay there, but the restaurant and the staff were great...so, 5 stars and was perhaps our fave place to eat during our stay in Polonnawura.

Double check what you see is what you get.

Double check what you see is what you get.

There are three buildings in this hotel. What you see with the pool is the new complex. The rooms maybe good in that, but we got rooms from old building. 3 out of the 4 rooms we got, had issues. Toilet flushing issues to AC malfunctioning. My opinion is it's not worth the price. Breakfast is average. Ok for a local. Staff was good, tried their best to fix the issues we had. Very close to the ancient city.
