I feel like six flags missed a great opportunity to capitalize on Friday 13th. First day of fright fest, friday 13th and full moon with a spooky sky atmosphere... The effort on six flags was very underwhelming.

Six Flags Great Adventure
Waste of money. More fun at Ocean City. Extremely overpriced admission food and drinks. You spend the day waiting in line from the time you get there, for drinks and food the bathroom and rides. We arrived 930 am waited for gate to open and left at 8 pm and went on 6 rides. A lot of rides were closed down for the day or temporarily out of service. Such an exhausting waste of day and money. If the prices were HALF the charge.. then yeah.. I'd go again. Otherwise no thanks for the headache.
Went for fright fest, had the platinum flash pass. And it was so worth getting it. Was able to go on every ride , and go on them again
My childhood and adulthood will always be apart of this place. It's always a pleasure going there even with the long lines. Kids love going there especially during FrightFest.
Always a great time here, went during Halloween season and the park was decorated perfectly. Lines weren t too long, was able to go on everything I wanted in a very timely manor. Staff was helpful and the park was very well maintained. Always an adventure and definitely cool to see during Halloween.
Sometime service can be blah ... I realize they deal with thousands of people a day, but that don't give them a pass on the attitudes. The theme park is exactly that, the water park good too. Other than personal at times six flags is great.
Some really great rides. For a true adrenaline junkie it's probably paradise in the area. But the layout is ridiculously convoluted. Lines can get obscenely long and the price to park is kind of offensive. And shade is at a premium, so be prepared! And make a list of what you really want to do before arriving because trying everything even on a day with almost no lines is next to Impossible.
Always the best place to enjoy with family and friends.
incredible park. clean and fun for the whole family, but more fun for families tall enough to ride the rides together. i recommend going on a tuesday.
Had such a great time! things were a little pricey but overall a great experience.
Amazing experience need to be there for more than one day to experience the whole park worth the money
Six Flags is a Great Adventure for sure however....there policy on loose items is shady. Yeah they post it everywhere in the par just to cover their back. Most of the employees do not remind people on the lowee level thrill rides like the joker! Ppl arent necessarily reading signs and ppl make mistakes they are completely unforgiving and unsympathetic of their patrons!
Aug 31, 2018- Great visit!! We picked a great day to go: not crowded at all, weather not hot or ultra sunny. No lines into the rides. Restrooms very clean. Food prices very high! That's my only complaint.
Great thrills. Highly recommend Six Flags great adventure. To get the best deals, buy the tickets online the night before.
Great time! Went during the week when school started back and never had to wait longer than 30 min for any ride.
Amazing park ,teenager with friends have more fun only $50 daily ticket,it worth !!
Visited Drive Through Safari during pandemic and had a wonderful time! Nearly 90 minutes to slowly work our way through thanks to the traffic stopping giraffes and enjoyed every moment. Do wish there was a way to know what each animal is but it looked like they were building more signs so might be better for future visitors.
One of the best amusement parks I have visited, the attractions were awesome, Bizarro, El Toro and Nitro are highly recommended for those who like high adrenaline in the rides. The place is huge but can easily move between one side of the park to the other by using the Sky Ride which is also great the views you see from above. Kingda Ka is fast but you barely can have your eyes open because of the high speed. And Jumanjaro... OMG! The height is terrifying but it's also and excellent attraction that you cannot miss, overall the park is excellent, near parking, variety of food (don't expect to find low prices), highly recommended to visit if you're near New Jersey.
It was my first time going and i went with friends and it was my best expirience!!!
El Toro, Kingda Ka, Nitro, Bizarro, what more can be said. World class roller coasters. Green Lantern is total garbage.
The food is tasty, most of the staff friendly, and the roller coasters are out od this world
Had a blast but my son is only 11 and since there are mostly only roller coasters there, he didn't enjoy it as much as I wish she had.
Came on a Saturday in October for Fright Fest. You can come in costume but no mask and enjoy the Halloween decorated park. Scare park is extra but later in the day scary character come out and rome around certain areas. Food selection is ok but we brought sandwiches and left them in a cooler in the car. You can come in and out of the park up until 8pm then after that there is no admittance back in. If you bring a back pack I suggest you get the all day locker pass so you can put your belongings in a locker at each ride. Make sure to dress warm, because after the sun goes down mid October it gets cold. They have scare areas so if you have little ones stay away from the path by the lake.
love six flags. have a season pass because it s better than paying full price every time you go. fright fest is very fun this time around because it s full of haunted houses and scary people trying to scare you.
First time and definitely not my last visiting during Fright Fest!!! I have only visited during regular summer hours and always loved the time but Fright Fest changes the environment to a ghostly fun experience. With our seasons pass we ate definitely coming back in October
Amazing theme park had world-class roller coasters and is home to kingda ka the worlds tallest and second fastest ROLLER COASTER!! Decent food and has great customer service all around a great park and far better then most other six flags theme parks!!!!!!!!!!
Extremely fun. My kids had a blast and so did i. So much to do in this place. Even has a safari.
Best six flags in the states. Nitro, kingda ka, drop of doom, and the sling
Fun ; thrilling; adventures rides!! Best ride is THE NITRO!
My son loss his glasses in the Lazy River. But lifeguard James found them for us! Way to go James......kudos!
Great with smaller crowds. Reservation only. A very good day to spend some free time.
I loved the large variety of Food vendors. Having a Safari Included as part of the park admission is awesome . The $40 for $70 worth of game play deal was a pleaseant surprise .
My family and I only did the Safari and it was awesome. The animals walked right up to the car or walked passed crossing the road. It was a good experience for the family and I to do, I would do it again plus it felt longer than 1.5 hours of driving thu it.
10/10/2020 I was there for the safari it was good but the directions are not the one you put on the GPS ,.. Halloween attractions are really bad we were in a line waiting for more than an hour for a attraction to be only less than 2 minutes and the distance for covid 19 it was really bad no one was respecting each other distance,.. we try to go to the other attractions to see how it was but forget about it the lineas were like 2 hours wait and again people were in top of each other no respecting the distance,... we end up leaving the park with out seen any Halloween attractions ,.. 80 waste on the tickets,.. they should be able to return the $ back !!!!
Give one star cause there is no 0 option. We was waiting for to get The flash pass, i already ordered online. And we were waiting for this a hour and still waiting in line. There's only 4 cashiers serving for tons of people. If you want have fun when you here. Just don't buy the flash pass and enjoy your day!
Great coasters, great park, tons of fun. The entrance is not well designed for the volume if people that come in at one time. Have been multiple times and already love it here
Love amusement parks and as an NJ resident its always been my summer go to. The rides are the best I've ever ridden (Nitro, El Toro and now Wonder Woman are my faves). I am a gold member so that means I can bring my friends at a discount on certain days which really pays off. And the parking is free, as well as admission to Hurricane Harbor! Its definitely worth it getting a pass esp if you are planning to go at least twice within the year.
The floors in the wave pool gave my toes scrapesand when you walked it hurt so bad
Lines were too long on such a slow hot day. And my friend had a season pass which stated that she could bring a friend for free but when we got there still has to pay.
Great place to visit. Get the all you can eat and drink passes for the best value. Fun day!
We went in April and lines were very easy. Barely any waits. Great rides! Scary as hell. Spent a full day and didn t make it to all the rides, including a lunch break. We bought the food vouchers with the group deal, I wouldn t recommend. We could only use them at certain, low end, food joints which was average at best. There did appear to be a lot of better places to go to: Panda Express, sushi, gourmet burgers etc... that we couldn t use our vouches at
Lots of fun.Rides were very nice.We will visit again.
Fright fest!! Roller coasters, zombies, demons, undead, and killer clowns. Would definitely come to feint again
Fun but overpriced. You pay for parking , entry, and tickets to the halloween maze. They are half as much as the ticket to get it not the park proper. It's a bit much
Overcrowded! do not recommend to visit this place on weekends, you will wait 30-40 minutes to get in a ride.
I'm to old for this place but the rides we're good.
Was there to pick up grandchild, great system to do that! I felt safe and felt my grandchild was safe. Thank you
To much covid nonsense... They would have us wait on line packed not enforcing 6ft rule but would send the roller coaster seats at 40% capacity.. Picking and choosing who they chose to tell them to put the mask on. WONT BE RETURNING ANYTIME SOON.
Nice job for the Christmas holiday. Santa was excellent. He took his time with the kids.
Never been here til recently and I can honestly say my experience was way better than expected. It was 1 of the best days of my life with my little monster and I'm definitely going back.
Always a great value to go here and have the most fun. Especially with the season pass. The fastest roller coaster on Earth is in this very fun park.
My experience in here was really good. Superman ride was constantly shutting down for some reason so most people couldn't ride it but the other rides were amazing. I went here with my school and every single one of us enjoyed our trip here.
Overall the visit was good. I was a little disappointed that when I got stung by a bee near the Runaway Train and I tried to use the app to find the First Aid closest to me; it did not come up easily in the search. I asked an associate when I finally saw one, Frontier Land is pretty sparse for employees. He pointed me in the right direction. Mark S, the EMT, was super nice and got me some numbing stuff and some ice and I was able to enjoy the rest of my visit.
Most of the rides thrill, especially when the lines are short. But the layout is a wild ride of it's own that does not get a thumbs up. And the prices will definitely get your BP rising.
Not as janky as some 6 flags I have been to. Hershey park is better by far.
Quite a nice place there. I enjoyed myself there. I recommend.
Good time pass for family during covid. No need to get out of car. Even tickets are scanned through the glass
I love it! There is always so much fun! Definitely recommend to visit during Fright Fest! Get spooked!
Im currently here at the park and honestly if you feel like there s risks with COVID 19 why even come? To complain? Stay home
Every weekend if i could..l love the environment...even when im not riding!!
Great rides and if you come midweek you can enjoy short wait times. What is frustrating is that there are many and complicated ticket, pass, and membership options and it s virtually impossible to get someone on the phone in advance to help make this decision. There is also a feeling like they are doing everything to nickel and dime you. One nice exception is that if you bring your own water bottle than the soft drink vendors will fill it with ice cold water for free and with a smile.
Me and my family we liked it but the last time we were here my cousin just came from Afghanistan got kicked out from here because he pulled out his phone I understand that there is no electronics allowed on the rides but if you're going to be that strict about it you should put that out somewhere where people can see it that way people know how serious it is not everybody does
Amazing collection of rides and very friendly staff. Lots of potential for lines but if you go on less busy days of the year you have a potential to do all the rides. If you avoid bringing a bag into the park you will save lots of money by not needing a locker. You may need to deal with some unpleasant park attendees on busy days but this is the case with any amusement park I have been too.
I know Covid may have changed this however more than two hours of car bumpers and brake lights was too long
We thoroughly enjoyed the drive-thru safari ride. We didn't opt the adventure rides, as it was crowded. Got to pull over and watch all the animals leisurely, kids were happy and enjoyed their entire 90 mins drive thru.
The rides are fun and the food is good. I wish they were all open though.
Took my kids to Fright Fest..... Had an amazing time....
I love the park and it is so fun to go with family and friends but the yellow jacket problem has gotten to bad. I was there and I was afraid in lines, not for the ride but to get stung by on of the yellow jackets. They also removed an entire kids section to start building the Jersey Devil ride. If they keep removing children s rides and don t get rid of their problems with the yellow jackets they might lose mine and many others business.
Overall this is a good location, the pricing is ridiculous if you only plan on coming once, around $60 a ticket plus 20-30 for parking hits hard. If you come during peak times and are waiting in lines all day that may not be worth it for you, but I personally went during fright fest and while it was freezing, the park was relatively empty and the seasonal activities made many of the rides have little to no ride. If you plan on going more than once definitely get a season pass.
Had a awesome time with my friends and made new ones aswell
Great Adventure is the premier Six Flags location and levels above other local amusement parks in relation to thrills.
This was my wife's b-day wkend and after a miscommunication on Six Flags behalf, they gave us a hard time of exchanging our reserved tickets to another day but my wife/daughter had to witness and bring to the staffs attention that another staff member had aready switched another customer family who were Korean descent, tickets for another day.. Clearly Very disrespectful/hurtful and discriminated against.for the whole family.. Not sure if I will be back..
Six flags is a very good amusement park with not a lot that is great besides the rides. Kingda Ka, Superman, and Nitro are all great. But I find myself not going on rides like Green Lantern because the carts hurt. The park isn t very clean and a lot of the paint is wearing off. It sadly seems low budget compared to parks around it like Hershey Park and Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
Getting tickets is a pain. Be aware some rides cost extra. Otherwise great!
Great experience, but since it is such an attraction, the lines are huge!
They have all types of rides and other things for you to learn jewelry like Safari the Superman
Six Flags!!!!! They didn t allow us to bring any outside food in; as we did have a few dietary restrictions, but didn t stay long for it to affect us, can imagine if you have kids with specific needs it can become tough.
Great experience. Batman and wonder woman had me on a different level. Felt like i was in the sky
Excellent place to go for amusement and galor. The new wonder woman ride is spectacular as well
Best theme park I'd every went to. You should go there if you like rollercoasters.
A bit pricey for drinks and food, as expected. But a fun time!
I attended Fright Fest and it was ridiculosly crowded. You could not tell where the line was until you got to the poles with ropes. For season pass holders they are scanning your finger print in addition to your card. They are no longer putting your picture on your card which is odd. The food here is expensive so it is best to pack a lunch and eat it before you enter the park. I wanted to see more zombies. I don't know if they were on break or having a feeding frenzy amongst themselves. They have more than enough rides for all level of riders. It is a place to take the children to give them something to do.
Love love love fright fest!! Membership and premium dining plan can t be beat for value! Dead Mans Party is always awesome and lots of fun in the trails!
To packed to many people no social distance we made a reservation and there was even more people than before not recommended.
In the top 3 Six Flags parks. Good variety for the kids and adults. The park is pretty big so navigating it can take a while.
