When my 4 year old granddaughter was apprehensive to have her teeth cleaned, Elaine went above and beyond thr call of duty to make her experience excellent. It was actually kinda magical the way she charmed her into having a great experience. When we got there and she wad already starting to cry I would have never believed what the outcome was. She left smiling and proud and all because Elaine made sure it was a positive experience. Thank you Dr.Nina and especially Elaine.

They only have ppointments when your kids are in school. Then they will randomly cancel your appointment and make you wait 2 months for the soonest possible time. If they cannot handle appointments I would not let them near a child s teeth.
I don't recommend this group to anyone. They tried selling us there insurance."Discounted rate" ha. They don't do payment plans when you sign up for that specific plan. They expect you to pay up front. Every penny. This is a scam. What a rip off. You should see the prices off there services too. Unbelievable that they can sleep at night.
I know dental offices, and I am super-picky about quality. I am a registered dental assistant who spent years working in a number of offices and was eventually promoted to office manager. So, I have seen the good and the bad when it comes to dental offices, and I believe I can discern the differences between them.
Simi Children's Dental Group meets my highest expectations. I have felt supremely fortunate to have found this office for my children. My kids started out there at an early age and are now young adults. (At my pleading, two of my children are still accepted there even though they are 18+ years old.) The office allows me to stay with my son who has autism throughout each visit. So, on numerous occasions, I have had an ample opportunity to observe the protocols, etc., that go on in the back office.
This office is immaculately clean with good sterilization practices and safety protocols, which are super important to me. At the same time, the office is set up for maximum comfort and relaxation of the patients. The staff is wonderfully friendly and professional. I believe they genuinely care about their patients. The doctors patiently answer questions and go the extra mile to explain things. Additionally, the front office is super efficient and accommodating. My kids have had a wonderful experience each and every visit over the years. I have often wished that I could be a patient at this office!

Staff did not request information for previous dentist when given the information on the initial call. The staff, also, did not read the paperwork they requested be filled out. They had the wrong insurance listed when they "went over" the schedule of fees for procedure. In my opinion they were just attempting to use all the insurance money available.
My daughter was very nervous for her first filling. They treated her so well. I appreciated the follow up call the next day to ask how she was feeling. Very attentive and understanding.
We went there for a consultation to see if I qualify for braces. When the doctor was checking my teeth she said I have to wait tills I'm 23 to get an implant on a missing adult tooth. So, she told me to go get a prize, but I did not understand what she said because I thought she said "price" to negotiate for the cost of the treatment. My family and I didn't like them because they are not professional and that they want to waste my treatment time to get an implant on my missing adult tooth. Then, my family and I chose to go elsewhere with professional doctors and staff. Please I'm warning you do not go there and go to someone who's professional. By the way, they charged us almost $6,000 for full treatment.
Overall, we had a good first experience at the dentist with our 18-month old daughter. We did have to wait to be called in for longer than I would have liked, however the front office staff was dealing with a very difficult situation with another patient, so my patience and conflict barometer was raised. They were very professional and helpful during the process. Being stuck in the waiting room for a while wasn't the worst thing since there's lots of fun stuff for our daughter to do - the inside of this place is literally like a spaceship! Very fun. Once we were called back, the hygienist/assistant was great with our daughter. Dr. Paula Needham is truly great at what she does, and so passionate. Her smile changes the entire atmosphere of the room and my daughter felt very safe and comfortable with her examination. She is a Mom herself and she is a natural with kids. Ultimately, we would recommend this dentist because of Dr. Paula and the fun, kid-friendly atmosphere.
Absolutely wonderful experience! The staff was so patient and kind and provided the best service we have ever received at any dental office. They had so many things to keep the children occupied and happy. Benjamin was The best! He was just so good with my grandson. Dana in the front was such a big help to us. We really appreciated everything they did there. We would Definitely recommend this office!
My parents took me here for thirteen years, and Dr. Nina was nice enough, but she and the assistants ignored that the numbing shot didn t work when I had cavities filled. It was traumatizing, compounded with the bullpen-style room where you hear several other drills and tools running at once. I was so much happier when I went to an adult dentist with a private room, but I still had and continue to have occasional panic attacks. I needed ativan to even get to my wisdom teeth removal. I hope they ve improved in the years since, but I hope parents also communicate well with their kids who they take here regarding what might hurt, what s reasonable in terms of pain, and what s scary about the situation, and I hope parents don t disregard fear here as just fear of the dentist rather than a bad provider-patient match.
We LOVE the people at Simi Childrens Dental (aka Rocket Ship dentist). Our son has been going to Dr's Nina and Raza for dental work and Dr. Hoffman for ortho work his entire life. He just recently got his braces off and he looks like a whole new person! His smile is amazing :) . Everyone is very friendly, knowledgable, gentle and thorough. Highly recommend!
This is THE best children's dental places we've ever been to. And Dr. Raza is THE best children's dentist we've had the privilege of seeing. This place is home for us.

Simi Children's Dental Group has been our kids' dental/orthodontal group from day one. We continue to receive their dental care here even though we moved to Santa Clarita because the trust we have in this group is something I am not willing to give up for a shorter commute. It's twice a year for my son and a couple of extra visits for our daughter now that she has braces. We love this dental group and will continue to receive dental care here until our kids outgrow this group. Thank you!!
My son has been a patient of Dr. Cory Hoffman at Simi Children's Dental Group Orthodontics for years now! I can't recommend Dr. Hoffman enough. He is not only an extremely knowledgeable orthodontist, but warm, friendly, personable and patient. My son loves his braces and always has a pleasant experience! The staff is extra nice too! Very happy with the end results!
This place is incredible! I loved everything about it. They really know how to make going to the dentist a great experience for the whole family. I wish our pediatricians office was this great. They are super rude if your teeth are remotely bad and go so far to make fun of you with the other dentist not to mention how they have it laid out like a barbershop which is extremely uncomfortable and odd

I've been taking my son here since he's been about 1 years old. He's almost 4 now. I'm happy to say this is the place for us! The kid friendly environment and great staff help keep my son happy through each appointment. Dr. Nina and her assistant Christine's patience and professionalism are second to none. I highly recommend bringing your children here. It's just fun for the kids.
I cannot say how amazing this place is every time. My son is anxious yet he feels at easy with everything they do. Of course I messed up when I mentioned shots a year or so ago, (he's 14) he never even knew he was getting them to get fillings. If insurance doesn't cover something they take the time to explain the cost and the different options. We love our Spaceship Dentist!
My children love this place! My youngest had bad experiences with doctors that coming to the dentist scared her but they made it so pleasant for her that now she begs to go to the dentist. My two oldest love the look of the office and how they can watch a movie while the get their teeth cleaned.

We are pretty satisfied with the actual ortho services my son receives from Simi Children's Dental. The clinic is very clean and well maintained and staff is friendly. The only big concern that we have is that it is very, very difficult to get appointments that are outside of school hours. The clinic should really consider adding additional hours to their business operations or even include opening on some Saturdays. Because of this, we have been thinking about switching to other dentists in the area for my two other kids, who will also likely need ortho services.
The best in Simi Valley!! Both offices (Pediatrics & Ortho) have been all 3 of my children's dentists. The staff and doctors go above and beyond to make sure you get the best care.
