Our board is composed of 50 schools, serving approximately 21,000 students and employing over 3,000 individuals. We are a faith community bound together by our beliefs and values.

At Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board, we strive to provide our students with an exceptional learning experience that is rooted in our Catholic faith. We believe that education should be holistic – nurturing not only academic excellence but also spiritual growth and character development.
Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all learners while promoting critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration and communication. We offer programs for students from kindergarten through grade 12 including French Immersion programs at both elementary and secondary levels.
We also offer specialized programs such as International Baccalaureate (IB) program at St. Peter's Secondary School which provides students with an internationally recognized diploma upon graduation; Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) program which allows students to focus on specific career pathways; Dual Credit program which enables high school students to earn college credits while still enrolled in high school; Cooperative Education program which provides opportunities for experiential learning outside the classroom setting; eLearning courses which allow flexibility for those who require it.
We understand that each student has unique needs and abilities so we have developed various support services such as Special Education services including Individual Education Plans (IEPs), English Language Learners (ELL) support services for those whose first language is not English or French Immersion Program support services.
Our board is committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. We have implemented various initiatives such as Safe Schools programs, Mental Health and Wellness programs, Equity and Inclusion programs to ensure that our schools are welcoming places where everyone feels valued and respected.
We also believe in the importance of parent engagement in their child's education. We encourage parents to be involved in their child's learning journey through various opportunities such as Parent-Teacher interviews, School Councils, Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (CPIC), and other community events.
