Silver Lake Country Club Review

Nice on both courses North and South challenges all levels of golfers. Well maintained course greens especially.

Went for a Cub Scout Banquet, family style dinner, was good...

9 hole course is a little on the short side but really well kept

Always a good time here. Golf, banquets, charity events...

Everything was good for our Christmas party. My only problem is that I ordered the same 2 drinks 3 times and was charged 3 different prices.

First time here and I loved the golf course. The fairways and greens are well kept and the staff was very helpful. Definitely looking here first on my next day off.

Played the 9 hole executive course which is in great condition. Going earlier in the morning was a good choice as it wasn't crowded and I could take my time.

I can t thank Silver Lake enough for our event. From start to finish it was seamless. The ladies in the office, Amy and Jeanine, were on top of everything and made the booking and planning process stress-free. The service staff, Kim and Bridgette, were especially helpful the day of with setting up and bringing out the food quickly. And of course Tim, our bartender, was efficient and accommodating even for specialty drinks. It was so nice having some stress taken off my back working with people who really know what they re doing. The East garden room is so beautiful with so much natural light. They keep the grounds looking fresh all year round. The fall colors were a beautiful backdrop for photos along with the outdoor patio with gazebo and waterfall. I can t say enough great things about this venue.

Beautiful courses for varying levels of play. Rolling Hills is in need of repairs, but it the easier course and is less cared for.

All around great place for a banquet, recommend highly

Beautiful golf course with a cool bar and great food. We are going to have our wedding there and the event planning team is just awesome and very fun to work with in planning our big day.

One of the best well kept 45 golfing holes around the Chicagoland area.
You must play here , you will not be disappointed. You will be back again.

We are so happy with our wedding experience with Silver Lake. Every single staff member went out of their way for us and were just the nicest people. The food was out standing, the reception room was set up perfectly & very clean and the prices were very reasonable. Their lake side ceremony cite is gorgeous! If you want a stress-free, extremely helpful venue- you can not beat Silver Lake!!

Affordable and challenging, very playable. Great clubhouse. Daily $10k hole in one contest on 2 separate holes. Great course conditions too.

This place is very nice as venues go the food was okay nothing special for $100 a plate i e chicken and mashed potatoes and we weren't even allowed a doggy bag and we had a hell of a time trying to find a place as it's backed up in the woods you are driving around in circles eating with the GPS at one point we were so lost we ended up in a cemetery

We worked with both Janine and Amy during our wedding planning and they were both incredibly accommodating and responsive. We unfortunately had to cancel our wedding due to the pandemic, but we highly recommend anyone using Silver Lake CC for their wedding plans. A great team with a seamless process. Thank you for all your help Janine and Amy!!

Lovely golf course setting, swell clubhouse. Put Sinatra on! Martini!

The course is in great shape. One of the best kept courses I have played this season. However, there was very little social distancing among the guests in the clubhouse bar.

I suck at golf but I had a blast making an attempt to do well. My swing gradually got better after a couple beers.

Exelent and well kept greens, rude and unfriendly staff in the Pro Shop.

Always a pleasure to enjoy a drink at the bar with friends. Bill is a gracious host !

Customer service is beyond expectations! Accommodating, professional and comparable in price with several others places. Truly, the only way to go.

Our company Christmas party is here every year and silver lake does a wonderful job. The food and venue are great.

Our wedding was PERFECT thanks to Silver Lake. They helped us with every detail along the way. There was always someone who would respond to any questions at any time. Their service was unbeatable. I would recommend this venue to any couple in the Chicago area.

Silver Lake offers two 18-hole golf courses and a 9-hole course that is perfect for less experienced golfers. The driving range and short game practice area are a nice upgrade. The food in the restaurant is excellent, especially their burgers.

I have known of this place for over 30 yrs. Looks like they updated the banquet hall. The driving range is new to me. South coarse looked great. Beer carts were moveing around great and the dinner was fine for our outing. This place has two 18 hole coarses and a 9 hole little coarse called Rolling Hills.

Course is shaping up for spring, greens could be softer

We have a weekly tee time here every Wednesday and the management team works very well with us if our day needs to be changed due to an outing. Very good people here and courses in great condition.

Golf, banquets, racquetball - I couldn't count how many times I have been here over the years. One thing I can say, they sure are consistent. Course is always in great shape, banquets are top notch, and the waitstaff is excellent.

It is great course to tee up. The restaurant was also great for dining. They have many interesting events here. It would be fun even for non golfers to come here.

Silver Lake Country Club, is a nice venue for weddings or any other celebration 6ou may have in mind.

Great place to have a wedding - they will bend over backwards to help you. Golf course is always in great shape.

Played the South course today, pace of play was excellent. Course was in great shape and the putts rolled true. Only complaint was we only seen the beer cart twice the entire round and they were on the 10th and 12th!

The best decision we made in the course of planning our wedding was to have it a Silver Lake. Great people. beautiful venue, excellent food and very competitively priced. Every step of the way, they were easy to work with, accommodating and always focused on making things work for us. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Visited for a wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. Service was very good & the food was very well presented & was tastey.

I was attending my late Uncle's motorcycle club's....Buffalo Soldiers; Chicago Chapter....scholarship presentation award ceremony and had a fabulous evening!! The food was amazing, the staff was amazing, and the atmosphere and ambiance of the grounds is incredible!!

Good bar, good food, good golf! 2 solid courses, but I prefer the north. A bit pricey($65), but all seem to be these days

Recently attended a wedding their, bar staff was great... the wait staff were hit or miss.. some were great others were a bull in a China shop rude. The food was hospital food bland and the prime rib was cold. The decore screamed 1980 and what a poor set up in the men's room always like to was my hands next to a naked guy from the locker room... I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone ever!!!!!!

Played the 9 hole Rolling Hills. Course is in great shape, and a lot of fun to play with the elevation changes. Only criticism is the signs for some if the holes just aren't there.

Solid value for the money. Played North and there were some unique holes on the back 9

We planned to have our wedding and ceremeny at here. Dropped in and nailed down the date, the room, number of guess, the package, and everything else with staff at here on a Sunday. They said everything looked fine, and asked us to confirm the date in 4 days while they would hold the date for me in these 4 days.
We called back on the following Wed to confirm the date, but we were suddenly told, by another staff, that the date we proposed and booked on Sunday was already taken.
Very disappointed by the service and coordination at here

The Best Place Out There!

Silver Lake Country Club is an amazing place to have any special event. We could not be happier with the process of planning our wedding from start to finish with Amy, Janet and the team. The entire staff at Silver Lake was so helpful, kind, easy to work with, funny and calm--everything a bride and groom could ask for on their special day. The golf course was picture perfect and the newly remodeled reception room was elegant and beautiful (we especially loved the way the lights twinkled through the windows at night-so romantic). One of our main priorities was finding a place with good food for an even better price. The food at Silver Lake Country Club was incredible!! Our family and friends STILL rave about the exceptional service and delicious meal at our wedding. And we still can t believe the price was so budget friendly-you will not find a better value anywhere else! We would recommend Silver Lake over and over again!

Food was good. Golf courses are in fair shape. Drinks are pricey.

Great place for a wedding, shower or other get together. Outside grounds very nice for that special day. 45 challenging holes of golf. Bert and his staff do a great job of making your outing enjoyable.

Vegan options were awful. Salad was just a plate of spinach, and the main course was a plate of spinach and some rice. It's not the hardest thing I'm the world to learn some better vegan dishes...

The service was decent and we could drown out our sorrows at the bar, but the food really left a terrible impression.

If the food was not the fault of this place, correct me and I will change my review, but it seems that they handle the food themselves.
