Very good! The staff is mostly courteous and respectful, and I may volunteer here this summer. I can usually find the books and films I need, and many different ones I hadn't expected to enjoy so thoroughly. I know there are a few who aren't as kind as I'd like, but they provide the needed information. I've done things from reports to resumes here.

This library is a Hillary Clinton memorial... just departed from there and observed some 70s hippie at the desk. No employee dress code obviously enforced, furthermore staff act you are a nuisance. They clearly understand if someone says something the police department is next building over and will call their partner. IF you do visit this place owned by LAWERY car dearership, rent the movie " WALKING TALL". You will figure this old man owned town out.

I cannot say enough good things about this library, the staff, and the different perks and programs. The collections are wide and varied, with music, movies, and even video games in addition to reading materials. They have many programs and services for such varied interests, including a lego club for kids, an anime movie night for teens at the teen center, a family movie night, adventure packs, a borrow a bike program, a wall for local artists and photographers to feature their prints, and much more! High praises for the creativity of the staff, and the way they have dedicated resources to the benefit of the community.

The Sierra Vista Public Library is a fine building managed by an apparent Leftist feminist who thinks displaying a fat bald man clad only in whitey tighties is a proper depiction of the male role model. A young mother home teaching her small son told me there are more books about communism, feminism and Socialist agendas than about American history. Routine perusal of the new nonfiction rack frequently proves that bias.

The children's events they host should be more inclusive. Registration for events? Seriously? And holding "open" events that you still turn people away from because you're full? How about doing more activities outdoors for us all to enjoy when you have a 5-year-old with cabin fever and nothing to do? Or better yet, hold events throughout the week since its summer vacation and the kids are out. Story time is nowhere near being fun anymore either. We used to go weekly when Miss Megan was there. She made it so much fun for the kids. After the new chick showed up, we went once and never again. Since the new children's librarian came on board things have changed dramatically and not for the better.

It is so refreshing to see the library truly trying to engage children as 21st century learners. I love that they have more of a social media presence and are doing so many STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) based events. While I understand that many are used to just showing up to events at the library, I understand the importance of registering for these events as supplies must be requisitioned and I can appreciate that the library is fiscally responsible enough to only buy what is needed. As someone who lives in Palominas, I cannot express how useful it is to be able to find out what is going on at the library through facebook rather than having to go to the library to discover it. Also, it is great that there is an online offering for those of us who use digital devices to read books. Finally, I find it commendable that the library is focusing on helping students understand information literacy and how they can independently find, assess, analyze, share and curate information from all different sources. Kudos to Ms. Scherrer and the library staff for really bringing us into the 21st century!

The Sierra Vista Library is a great facility to have in the community. It has a large collection of books, magazines, and newspapers. They have a nice children's collection, and youth collection. The library is able to get material from other libraries in the County, or throughout the United States using inter-library loans.

The library provides computer terminals which can be reserved with your library card. They also have a good selection of audio books and dvd's.

There is a cafe located outside of the library that sells coffee and food.

We showed up for the mandrake class & was told that we had needed to call the library to register but that wasn't mentioned in the ad. But if we would wait and someone doesn't show they might get us in. We waited but then was told that this was a drop & go & adults were not invited. Nothing mentioned in the ad about that either.

The library has a serious problem , it is extremely noisy , and it seems to be a common practice, don t be surprised to listen loud conversations, and kids screeming, or crying to the top of their voices, far from being the temple of intellectuality .

Clean, fairly quiet. There's sometimes a bit of noise that comes from across the library from the kids area. There is a play area that's great for little ones, but the noise can be a bit bothersome if you are easily distracted.

There are plenty of tables and study rooms available. The AC runs a bit on the cold side, but tolerable. You can also rent plenty of DVDs from here if you're not up for reading.

It's a building filled with books! And you can borrow them for free! And if you turn them in late, they don't even whip you! You just pay a very low fee. And then they let you borrow more books! And movies! Video games! There's even a kids area with toys. It's better than Grandma's house! They also offer an audiobook delivery service for the elderly, and an ebook service for those who prefer that format.

This is a great library with helpful and friendly staff. I have lived in Sierra Vista for 13 years now, and our library is one of our best assests. The friends of the library bookstore is a great place to find bargain books, too.
