Tried this at the suggestion of others. We sat outside and the view was gear. Our waitress was awesome. Ordered queso, and it was good, but we only got half a plate of chips and had to ask for more. We had jambalaya and s pulled pork sandwich. The jambalaya was good, but the French bread it came with wasn't anything special, like you'd get at a grocery store. The pulled pork was bland, no smoke cleaver, but was tender. The final thing keeping this a 4 instead a 5 for me was the beer menu, it was weak, for a lounge, I expected more and better options.

Not the best experience. We waited 40 min for a table and then an hour for our food. Food was good except for my son's burger which was significantly overcooked. Patrons had no place to wait so were bunched up right by our table.

The food was excellent, but don't be in a hurry. We came in first, but our food was brought out after three other tables.
Majority of waitresses were good, and the one we had was friendly, but spent more time in the kitchen than out front.
I would definitely come

Beautiful atmosphere on the water. Decent selection of beer. Average food prices for the lake area.

My son had the Cajun twice baked potato and chicken strips. They were both well prepared and delicious. Generous portion of chicken strips.

My wife and I split the chicken nachos. The flavor was flat and there was very little chicken on those .

Staff very friendly, efficient .

My boyfriend and I wanted to go to a nice resturaunt off the lake because we was from out of town. Everything was great other then the service wasn't any good.
We wanted to share the $24 plate of catfish with extra sides. I tell u when we read what was on the catfish plate... the one plate was way more food then we needed to have to ourself.
So after ordering our food we felt like our server looked down on us, like we didn't have enough money for us to be there.
We try to get our server attention numerous times but didn't bother coming back after it felt like 20 minutes or more. Our server finally came when we got our appetizer, so it that time we order an alcohol beverage, which she came back with it and the server slam it on the table like she was mad at us that we had bother her from severing her other tables. That was really unprofessional of her doing that to us.
We finally gotten our dinner and once again no server checking up on us to see how we was doing. The boy who bought us our food helped us more then our server did.
So I noticed in the midst of us eating our dinner she was filling everyone else water cups but she never came to our table. I guess she thought the bigger table was going to make her more money then she was going to get from us.
We wasn't being cheap, we had money to spend and was going to tip our server very nice because I am a waitress myself. But getting treated that way and looked down on like we was being cheap with no money, we will not be back to this place again.
I just hope things will change with the server and they can train them a little better to treat everybody as equal no matter if it's a big or small table.

Highly recommended a massive disappointment...we just left there on a Monday for lunch, stunned?!.

-Shorty pants was short on everything!
-Short on a friendly hostess...
-Short on service-BIG TIME!
-Short on the entire dining experience!

I thought we were going to have a pleasant dining experience, As our waitress was friendly and accommodating right up until the point where a 12 top sat down next to our 2 top, we became invisible...DANA our waitress disappeared on us after the appetizer, because a local 12 top sat down; we didn t see her again until she slipped me the check?!.

It was our first/last visit...by far the worst place that we have been thus far in the Ozarks.

I will make sure to tell everybody, don t waste your drive to Shorty Pants because you will get short-changed from start to finish

Good food, service was a little to he desired. They weren't very busy when I was in there and our waiter didn't get our water to us like we ordered. And it took quite a while to get our food. But the food was pretty good.

We go to Shorty Pants all the time. It's a very family friendly restaurant that has awesome food. If you are in the mood for a smaller meal the Po' Boys are all really good, the shrimp is my favorite. I've had most of the sides, but the asparagus or the dirty jambalya are my favorites. I can't get enough of the smoked wings and the cajun alfredo. Also, the soup of the day is always something insane but awesome. The servers are usually very busy but attentive and friendly. And, feeding the fish while you wait is always fun!

We went for dinner on Saturday June13,2020. The waitress that was brunette with fake eyelashes waited on us. Not attentive at all,we had to ask for our salads after about 45 minutes. The salads had watery dressings but was the best of the whole meal. The catfish was burnt and had so much bland breading on it. It was awful. We did not eat 1/4 of it. She must of been giving other people attention because we saw many waiters and waitresses but not her. She finally brought our check,we immediately got out our card. We waited 20 minutes and she never came back to our table. Sent a waiter looking for her,he came back and could not find her. We usually tip 30-40% depending on how they are. We finally paid $60.00 in cash for a $54.00 dollar bill. This is the second time the food was awful will not be back.

Had fun with friends, wish we would have sat outside by fireplave, a bit loud on game day. Staff was great. Burgers smelled amazing but tried the cajun. Was a bit disappointed that the shrimp in my dish were tiny. Had basically a bowl of sauce and rice.

Food was good but I wouldn't call it cajun. They are owned by the same group as Dog Days and their food tasted better but service was only OK. It is right on the water and they allow dogs. They also have live music frequently.

We're apparently not the first to review based on being understaffed; this needs to be fixed. My review would be higher except that I can see recent reviews that have been ignored about slow service.
Went on a Thursday. Busy but not crazy, and we were told 20 minute wait. We were not seated for a full hour. Fortunately we had fed the kids a snack just before and they were occupied for a bit looking at the boats and fish at the gas dock.
We got seated in the back corner - not ideal but oh well - about half of the tables look out into the marina - great view of mostly the boats and a tiny bit of lake.
Had to wait a bit more for our server to get to us, dinner came out slowly; our salad took 20 minutes and our appetizer came with dinner (nachos were good though)
One of our plates was over $20 and was wrong - asked our server who was nice but hadn't been there long and apparently we weren't the only table who had trouble with the description of the meal and the contents of the plate being inaccurate. This was unacceptable; don't miss on the details of how the food is prepared and what is included with it.
We had to wait 15 minutes after we were done to get our check - another party was waiting over 40 minutes to get seated while we were at ours.
Staff seemed nice, but they need more people there - our wait should have been 20 minutes based on the number of customers and empty tables but management needs to correct the issue of understaffing.
Also the poor servers and busboy have an awkward door to open with plates of food between the kitchen and most of the outdoor seating. A dual - swinging door or an automated sliding door there might be really efficient there.

Food was decent but took forever and when asked a very rude manager claimed we were "only" waiting 46 minutes for it. No apology, no explanation, just freaking rule. I guess they don't have to worry since they have a captive audience given the location. I'll go somewhere else next time I visit the lake and I'll certainly tell my friends to do the same.

This place came highly recommended but meh...it was very so-so. Service was very S L O W. Took ages to get a simple sandwich that arrived cold, and amazingly, OVERCOOKED. LOL. That was a first. And FYI, the "view" is a view of the docks. Literally, that's all you can see. So if you like watching pink-from-the-heat, sweaty tourists park their boats while you choke down cold, dry food, this place is for you!

Crab cakes were amazing! The chicken gumbo is just like I remember when we lived in New Orleans, fabulous! The only disappointment was the New Orleans Hurricane, nope, not like Pat O'Brien's. Very weak. Hubby said the red beans and rice had a good flavor. He also had the shrimp po boy and it was stuffed with shrimp. Very good. Service was great and the atmosphere was too!

The blue cheese hamburger was great but the honey cider vinegar Cole slaw was tasteless. It was mayonaise coleslaw at best. There was no honey or vinegar. Told manager and he asked kitchen. The kitchen said ingredients were there. I told the manager to go taste it. I don't know if he did.

Anthony was a great server! Stephanie is a great bartender! Food was the best I remember it ever being. Cajun pasta, fried oysters, beignets, cold beers, family friendly...Atmosphere is fantastic. There's a reason it's a lake staple! #2020season

Cool lake front dining. Has the usual beach themed food like Backwater Jacks, tucker shuckers, etc. The water view is not the greatest as its in a smaller cove with a lot of docks around. It is a great atmosphere. The bands seem to be a little more low key. One night they had a guy doing covers on an aucustic guitar which was a really nice change from the usual music you find at the lake. I like this place for the music, food and atmosphere. Not really loud and a good place to sit down and have a nice meal. Also has a nice bar feel too so it's a good combination
