An amazing little Japanese food court tucked underneath a mammoth mall. You do not realize how huge the food court is until you start wandering. And the food is class A, but entree and dessert places. The whole place is styled on the villages tucked next to shrines in Japan, according to their website. There is also an fun extra area tucked in the back with a stationary store, bakery, guardian spirit sanctuary, kids/keiki corner and gachapon area. I've always wanted to get some gachapon, but never been to Japan. This felt very close! I got two adorable cat figures. I only wish I had a bit more time to have my fortune told. There was live music when we went and there seemed to be special events often. Very very very fun. We went three times in one trip!

Lots of food choices and beer too. Convenient location. Take your time to find your choice of food. Clean and nice atmosphere.

A lot of japanese food and the the cheapest beer in Waikiki. With $4 dollars you buy a jar with 5 cups. It's amazing. Edit: Removing stars. I was there (04/26/19) when a lady started to dance hula in front of the singer who was playing IZ in a little stage. The security guard didn't let her dance and called the police. Extremely unnecessary. Shame on Shirokiya.

Cheap beers ($1 promos, $2 Heineken, etc.), great quality food, and alot of choices on food. Be sure to take a quick lap around to see all the different vendors before choosing what to eat. Dont forget about the couple of dessert spots which are amazing. The line for the beer can get long but it moves quick. This has a street style feel to it but with the comfort of A/C and shade. This is a definite must visit as the beer is cheap, the food is reasonable, and the quality is excellent.

Food court inside Ala Moana Center. It is here if you want to eat Japanese food. I went to dinner time. Many people came. Securing seats was also difficult. There are udon, ramen, etc. I had udon but it was delicious. There was also a cafe cafe and I bought a spa meal and ate it at a hotel

Best place in the universe. Cyberpunk 8x8 grid of Japanese food criss-crossing in every direction, live music, and bar in the middle to keep you honest. There's also toys for sale in the back to delight you when you re past your prime drunk on noodles and beer. You re wasting your Oahu trip if you don t visit this place.

A true Japanese-style department store and food court upstairs. Cheap and varied japanese eats including bento, takoyaki, okonomiyaki amongst others. Also has a mini (but indoors) "beer garden"

This place is the best. Very authentic (reminded me of Tokyo) and they have $1 beer. Great selection of Japanese food and beer. There must be 50 separate places to choose from. All selling great Japanese food and beer. Grab your food and then sit at one of the many tables. Must do in Honolulu.

Great food court if you are wanting to try something new or everyone in your group wants something different. There is even a beer garden here. There are plenty of different choices for all tastes.

Super fun place with lots of eats and games you can play. Japanese theme is definitely a favorite of ours with culture truly infused in every area and corner of shirokiya. Definitely worth a trip if you re in Hawaii!!!!

This place is definitely an experience in itself if you love Japanese food. There are so many different vendors offering many kinds of different foods. The atmosphere is bustling and immersive and the service is top notch. Highly recommend trying Kamitoku Ramen. Their broth is super flavorful, definitely one of the more memorable food experiences I've had there.

Been going here more because they started the $12.99 beek sukiyaki nabe. It's good for its price. Kids will enjoy the gacha gacha they have in the back. It can get pretty busy on weekend nights so it will be hard to find seats if you go in a group.

One of those places I'm going to miss when I go home from my holidays, go for the ramen and awesome Japanese food court food. Stay for the atmosphere, live music and incredibly cheap beer. Loved it!

The security guard was profiling me like some kind of racist. After which I was followed around by said female security guard. I left after feeling threatened. It's no wonder the place looks so empty.

Pretty decent set of Japanese restaurant and a few shops as well. I liked the old Shirokiya better (More goods, less food), but it's great to have a place where you can get takoyaki and okonomiyaki, to say nothing of $1 beers! Some good anime items in the shops.

Not the Shirokiya I remember growing up with on the other side of the mall, but this one is awesome. First of all it's now almost entirely a massive food court with a great selection of different eateries. I'd say medium $$ priced for food, but the drinks are very cheap... abnormally cheap - really can't complain there. If you go late night some places will discount items like bentos and tempura. It gets crowded most nights but there is plenty of seating. Definitely a local hang out and a hidden gem in the newer west end of the mall.

Unending variety of delicious food at moderate prices and where else can you still get a $1 beer or $4 pitcher!?! Doesn't get much better than this in Honolulu! Highly recommended, family atmosphere friendly atmosphere. And the beer . . . did I mention $1 draft beers??? How can you go wrong . . . Ya can't and dad da how brah!

Love the up-dated version of Shirokiya's food court. Was dizzy with excitement over food selections and overall festive energy. My favorites were okonomiyaki and takoyaki vendors. Everything was so fresh and tasty. So many options and just right size portions for sharing. Kudos to management for making sure eating areas are well-maintained, bussed quicky and kept clean.

What can I say? Huge place with many options from Japan. It's a must see for yourself. Takoyaki and okonomiyaki is delicious. Wish I got other good but not sure what to get since it's so vast. Seating was a bit hard to find, but what do you expect for a Friday night.

Appetizers were superb and the sushi was delicious. I had 4 different rolls, and I was impressed by all of them. Presentation was excellent. The wait staff was friendly and maintained the service while being there on a busy Friday evening. I like how you can see the kitchen while you are eating too!

Such a neat experience at Shirokiya. You get the nostalgic feel of the old school version you grew up with mixed with the modern version of a hip place to hang out anytime of day. Multiple Ramen Places From premade bowls and sets to a hot plate that gets brought to your table with a ll the fixings. Tempura Options to please any stomach... From shrimp to vegetables you will find exactly what youre craving. Happy hour beer, by the glass or pitchers to share! Alcohol variteies from sake, etc. They offer both red and white wine selections. And then save the best for last... . The Desserts. From a dip your own chocolate fountain To the elaborate ice cream cone, to the kawai sweet treats at kulu kulu cafe.

This is a great combination of roughly 20 small Japanese restaurants. The 2 main attractions would be an awesome desert restaurant and the gyoza is awesome. This place is cheap and one of a kind here on Oahu.

For the time being, there are udon shops, so I went there once in a while, and there were many types of shops right after it was opened, but ... The number of vacant shops has increased, and the food court has become like a bar, China. People and Koreans are conspicuous, and even the udon shop has a lot of tenkasu, so it can be distinguished, and the place before the second floor will be restarted ...

At first me and my SO came here very hungry. coming to this location we became overwhelmed on what we could eat. we had a hard time choosing what we wanted to eat here because there was so many options (which was great!) We ended up getting little bits of everything we could have here and had a blast. They had an event going on which was nice.
