Sherman Lake YMCA Reviews

The Sherman Lake YMCA was a great camp experience. The cabins needed a little updating but otherwise they were fine. The bathing facilities were ok. The great hall was really nice and the food they served was ok. The food needed a little something though. But the sink water did not smell the greatest (being well water) and tasted a little funky. The staff were friendly too. But the best part consisted of the activities like the rock wall and the "giant swing". Super fun and I recommend it highly for school groups.

Just finishing up training, it's been a long few days but everyone here is generally nice and polite. Can't wait for the kids to arrive!

Went here with school this week and highly recommend this camp! There is good food, nice councilors, educational activities, etc. I recommend this because it is amazing! Five stars for an amazing experience!!!

My daughter has gone to summer camp for four years, at five years you get your name on the wall. This year they restructured camp, eliminating both camps she likes. She was very disappointed. One employee told me over the phone the new format "was so much better than what they had before." I asked if they gathered feedback from campers and parents before making a change and was told "No!" How crazy to totally revamp camp without involving the customer.

This place is AMAZING!!! My son loves going Camp Discovery which is held here every year.. Great Place

I have been there for 8 years and this place has me coming back every time. I am always sad when I leave. I miss everyone at camp!

I went there for a week for 6th grade camp and I had sever homesickness and my counselor Tyler was always there for me I def recommend sending kids to summer camp there

Horrible, my bed was hard as a rock and had hair, dirt, and duct tape holding it together. The male counselors were very rude, smelled like they didn t take showers, and often made me do everything just because they didn t like me. The cabins smelled bad as well. However, some of the activities were sort of fun, but how rude everyone was to me and the lack of sleep I got ruined it.
