This is an amazing Community Outreach Center in Costa Mesa where I volunteer. There is a food pantry, medical clinic, dental clinic, small pharmacy, mental and financial services. The staff are excellent, beyond gracious, and handle many thousands of requests each year. It was started some 50 years ago by St. John the Baptist Catholic church.

This place was pretty cool. I went three not knowing exactly what they do, and I find out they're by appointment. The lady was nice and squeezed me in anyway. They have a food pantry there and they gave me a bag of good stuff. They also do hygiene items. Once I was called to speak with a case worker she assessed my needs and helped me with a one day Day Pass for the bus. She gave me 2 Target gift cards ($20ea). She was supposed to help me switch my obamacare from Iowa Wellness to MediCal but I got sidetracked talking about employment agencies and forgot to get it done but I think I can do that over the phone. All in all the place was helpful.
I love this place. Everybody at sos is pure humbleness..to say the least. God bless all them for their patience and generosity. SOS is the **itttt! #mikestheman #shareourselvescm
Replacing Euphoric effect of drugs with less harmful more productive substitutes has not been invented, yet. But helping strangers in need expecting nothing in return has got to be the closest remedy.
Has been patient for 5 years now . Pharmacy has improved a lot, back stuff Great on our side Always. Sorry to say this but need to Express front stuff honestly needs Training in have more respect , n be more helpful, I feel like they're in wrong jobs don't feel like they're happy to be there, it seems like they're doing their jobs obligated That's Really the impression I get. N I say it coz I EXPERIENCE it.
I've taken my Mother in Law three times for dental work. They are professional and polite. Thank you Dr Vu and Dr Lee. We really appreciate the quality of service.
I'm sorry but your there to help people not flirt and be selective with who you give food to, especially if your pregnant and the person you give more food to is the guy who's the father, that's not professional nor is it appropriate.
The employees, along with the volunteers are very kind, courteous, and accommodating in every way possible. They give out more than 200 bags of food every (M-F) day! And they also have a very good Medical staff as well.
These People's has really done good Things for people; And have Helps numerous of People's, Likes myself!! Even though it's a Once of Year Thing's!!! But nonetheless I likes how they worked and etc. Sincerely : Ms, Alice's Simpson
I have had Debbie Binning as my primary doctor for years. I have even switched medical facilities so I was able to keep her as my doctor and I will until the sad day of her retirement! She is always a great listener and has helped me through a lot the last several years. I have never felt as comfortable and cared for around any other doctor quite like I have with Debbie :)
Planing to change my doctor No way you can reach anyone over the phone I was on hold for 45 min. and still caller # 7 Doctor requested MRI for me but when I called my insurance there was no request for it I had to go there in person with bad knee for 3 times since no one picks up the phone and it s been a week and I still haven t had my MRI approved I don t know what else to do I am going to switch a doctor this is just unacceptable!
I volunteer at Share Our Selves. This place is a great resource for families and singles that need no-cost or low cost resources for medical, dental food and other items.
Very compassionate company that's very helpful Anywhere from getting you meals to assisting with medical treatment has a plethora of resources and referral throughout the Orange County area
A great help for people in need, to be sure, but service is inconsistent. They used to allow my girlfriend and I to each get a bag of food when we came once a week, then suddenly started telling us we could only have one.
I was referred to HOAG to see a specialist and was told that my copay would cover all services rendered. I am now at collections from the specialist because SOS refuses to follow through. Not only is this false pricing which is highly illegal but this is extremely unprofessional. Terrible service and a very disorganized company. I have been trying to get in touch with Referral Dept. to solve this but they fail to resolve the issue. Im not sure how patients still come here
They serve food top of the line organic soup 5 days a week serving along with your meet vegetables pasta potatoes rice or beans always fruit salad and green salad pastries and bread. It's the soup kitchen very nourishing meals they serve . Saturday and Sundays our breakfast only
There's two things but the first is what a wonderful resource . I'm taking classes to become work as a helping professional in the Human Services field. I think the workers there run into a situation where they often become the "first responders " to people with medical and mental problems. I have been of service doing community outreach to the poor often the same clients. I'm pretty sure which young Hispnic lady your speaking of but the doctors are competent and it's not easy working in this field but yes it's no excuse for the way that some people are treated there by one person that is suffering from burnout and countertransference . Tony in customer service is always kind and has been there to pick people up and send them on their way happy plus he's so helpful A letter to the CFO wouldn't hurt if that's how you feel. The first amendment and Romans 13 is always good reading
It's a great resource for the community in Orange County in Costa Mesa California. They recently intervened and kept people safe while other business owners & police officers put their community in danger by making me drive out of a handicap spot in a life-threatening medical condition state to be given 15 minutes to move or be arrested. This happens to me all day everyday no matter how much I try to say safe and not injure an innocent person. I'm treated like I'm homeless or have no insurance or money. Please try to treat people kindly other than or a homeless person might want to sit on the grass after they spent $600 in merchandise. This happened at CVS on 17th Street in Costa Mesa today the taco place had me removed for no reason I guarantee you I spent more money than every customer they had in their own store. Call your local media have me followed let it hit breaking news there have been a total of four accidents due to medical professionals security guards and police departments
this is thee most caring and thoughtful program I've ever seen in my life. if you don't have food, or s means of income, if you're homeless. shoot, even if youre not any of those. you can still come in and they'll give you a huge paper bag full of different kinds of food for you to eat. it's incredible. the m you to all whom work there and or participate in putting this thing together. I give it 2 thumbs up. 10/10. I give it my gold star !!!
These people and this place are a God send. They have helped my two small daughters and I with food, gas, and other things. We appreciate what you guys do.
SERVICE IS PROFFESIONAL AND GREAT. THE SCHOOL IS GOOD, PUBLIC SERVANTS, CITY TEACHERS, MILITARY SERVERS/, (WORKERS) THE CITY IS SERVED WELL BY SOS, COSTA MESA. CA.
S.O.S. is the signal which in this case needs to be updated to an immediate request for help with a M A Y... D A Y . . . the law of the open seas will be honored by those who remember what that is
To be honest, I have had a few bad experiences with this low-cost Medical Clinic. A provider who rushed me in and out, didn't help, and then I got sicker. A particular front desk staff member who was inconsiderate and rude to me. They made an important appointment for me without asking when I'm available (obviously people who go to a low-cost clinic can't ditch work to see the doctor).
The parking lot is a nightmare! There is not enough parking, and sometimes the people you see in the lot are strung-out or drunk.
I no longer seek medical-care there.
But, I will say that the place is clean and bright and spacious.
SOS is an amazing organization who has really helped me out in our time of need. They provide a bag of groceries each day and offer assistance such as gas card valchures or Target gift cards for the homeless twice a year. The groceries they usually have are good quality foods donated by local super markets and restaurants or foods that people have just donated. If they are able to they will provide you with meat, veggies, bread, drinks and some sort of sweet for dessert. They also have hygiene packs that consist of a pair of socks, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant and other toiletries if available. They also have baby wipes, diapers and even dog food for your fur baby. This is a great organization and I hope continues to be able to help the Orange County Community! Thank you to all the volunteers who take the time to help the less fortunate!
This social service non profit really has stepped up here within orange county to what I would have to say is providing the best in this county, period.
This Is worse of the worse. I have told them what a bad customer service they are for that reason they don't answer my phone calls to make appointments with Dr wilder my COVID 19 test took 14 days to get results. Lab Corp had a different dates to get my test done I have a feeling they did that on purpose something is fishy They workers are not professional They take medical and others insurance but no good service Dr aren't available when you need them unless you push to get appointment with Dr Wilder you will end up talking to Trinidad a guy that is not a doctor. To get them to call you you back is a wasted time. Medical & Medicare office should be aware of how badly they treat their patients
It is impossible to reach anyone over the phone. They never return voicemails or patient portal messages. They are worthless! What the hell is going on? I been trying to talk to someone for over 45 days!!
