Priority check in and out at Horizon Club was superb. Evening Cocktail has a extensive spread.

An iconic & historic luxury hotel which is world-renowned and nestled in a resort-like setting & minutes from the famous shopping street.

Great hospitality in every detail.

The old hotel is located in Singapore's famous commercial street near Orchard Road. The hotel is in a comfortable environment. Good service. Good breakfast. Buffet dinner is also good.

Visted The Line restaurant. Experience is very good. Food is nice especially the desserts.

Still one of our favourite hotels in the world, great hotel and fabulous staff

Shuttle bus round trip from hotel to Orchard MRT Station & Takashimaya Shopping Centre every hour till 8.00pm

Nice Ambience, Lovely Room at Garden Wing Pool View

We checked-in on Oct 9th but I did not realize it was children's day. We were told during check-in that our rooms were not ready at 3pm, hence we walked around the hotel premises, eventually proceeded to buds to book a session while waiting for the room. After about an hour, I enquired and still the room wasn't ready. However, the front desk staff apologized and gave us drinks vouchers while we waited again. After we had our drinks at the lobby, it was about 5.15pm, my baby was tired and so i went to ask if our room was ready. This time, the front desk manager( i cant remember his name off my mind) attended to me and he apologized that we had to wait so long for our room and he upgraded us to another room and made a lunch reservation for us the following day. That was very kind of him and it made us feel better after having to wait so long for the room. He also helped to make the necessary adjustments to our buds and splash zone bookings so that we could have our lunch on time the following day. We really appreciated that extra effort:)
Overall, the room was clean with a nice view. The bathroom was huge as well. The staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. We will definitely go back again end of the year.

It was perfect cool breezy evening with Italian food at waterfall. The sweet platter stole the show and was amazing.

It was impressive to arrive the hotel with a spacious and beautifully decorated lobby, my kid enjoyed the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory display.

The room interior design and furniture demonstrates a good sense of taste.

it a grad lunch buffet . should provide more table if it need to stand and eat .

Food is fresh and with huge veriaty. Should organise some promotion every quarterly with different theme to attract more guest.

Breakfast restaurant overcrowded and quality of Asian food not up to scratch (most hawker centres are better). Rooms were fine. Location is a little remote, and there is usually a queue of people waiting for taxis, not the other way around. Long wait at check-in. Price not in line with experience.

Whilst the overall stay was excellent, this was mainly due to the gentlemen of the Horizon Club, who rescued your rating with their charm, wit and general loveliness. We found the ladies to be less friendly and less interactive which is disappointing.
The rooms amazing and one of the biggest and nicest we have had. The food was ok in the club, better in the Line restaurant but obviously this was more crowded especially at breakfast.
The one thing we were not happy with was the level of plastic waste, made even more so by the supply of breakfast juice in individual plastic bottles every day. There is no need and the environmental effect is huge. For a place so clean and well kept it beggars belief that you were supplying so many beverages in plastic bottles
The NAMI restaurant was amazing - the food was outstanding and the staff attentive and friendly.
The food in the lobby bar and cocktails were really good and I loved the atmosphere in there.
We had a few issues with our room with things breaking but this was swiftly attended to and a voucher given which was a really lovely touch
We will definitely be back and loved the whole experience - just work on your environmental policies please

Quick check-in of Shangri-la APP is not as promised; Breakfast is just so-so, especially noodle is really bad (both food quality and staff service).

We stayed at the Art Deco inspired Shangri-La Apartments, (adjacent to the hotel and sharing the facilities). We had a lovely one bedroom apartment, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.

My wife has multiple food allergies which makes eating out quite difficult (which is why we chose an apartment - to have our own kitchen).

As mentioned, all the hotel facilities are also available to guests of the apartments, and even though the apartments have their own pool it's we'll worth the short stroll to the main hotel to use the pool there as it is a large free form pool in a fabulous! Tropical setting.

On our last evening we had dinner at the hotel's Origin Grill and were looked after superbly by the staff. Nothing was a problem, and one of the chef's created a fabulous meal for her on the fly.

I can't speak highly enough of both the quality of the hotel and their wonderful staff. If I could award them seven stars I would.

Excellent concept of luxury accommodation. Traditional styled rooms and hotel facilities which are in a well maintained shape with state of the art features. Outstanding friendliness and support of the staff. THE realisation of THE HOME AWAY FROM HOME.

We'll definitely come back and share our memories with friends - It' was a privilege to stay at this wonderful location, thank you for everything.

We absolutely love shangri-la and it s amenities, activities for the kids. Even with safe distancing measures in place, you ll definitely get a chance to try everything from their pool, to splash zone and buds! Highly recommend parents with young kids.

Very nice pool ... Hotel but unfortunately expensive

The service was excellent. Staff were polite and cheerful. The food at The Line was very good too. My kids loved the Buds playground and Splashzone. Only thing was the water from the heater took a long time to turn warm and it was difficult to adjust between warm and cold. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Shangri-la.

From the time we arrived to the time we left .... every single aspect of our stay at the Shangri La was perfect. Every staff member was kind, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. The room, dining, pool and gardens were of an exceptional standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very good Experience.

Two things for improvement:

- Running machines in gym quite old
- Breakfast room too basic and really crowded

We are halfway during our stay, but sadly we are disappointed by the service and maintenance.

Water in shower did not drain with first shower, so had to cancel shower and wait 30 minutes for a mechanic to solve it. Water temperature not constant with water sometimes hot and sometimes cold, making the shower anything but a relaxing moment throughout the stay. Coffee was not refilled, so had to call for it and wait again.

Early check-in was sadly not possible despite requested (which is possible), but even at 3pm they had to chase people to get our room in order. Instead of asking if we had anymore questions at the end of check-in the receptionist pointed at the elevator and wished us a pleasant stay, while we had questions left about how the health club works for example. Service just seems not to be client centered in this hotel.

At a la carte breakfast we are not looked after and ignored systematically by staff walking around. After trying hard to find a waiter we had to reorder again because he forgot what we had ordered. We are now already waiting 45 minutes to get our yoghurt and oat...

We had expected so much more from Shangri-la!

The good things are the gym and the room looks nice as well.

Nice experience. Complimentary upgrade when they knew we were there to celebrate my little one's birthday. Gave complementary kids toothbrush, amenities & slippers as well as a suprise birthday cake.

The staffs were very helpful and polite. Service was great and the resturant serves great food. Chef in the restaurant were very informative and help out with the food selection. A great experience and enjoyed the place alot.

Great location which is close to the main shopping stretch. It's filled with good food (with many restaurant selections), good ambience, and good service. I love the newly renovated Tower Wing which is modern but still preserving the classic Shangri-la style. I also had an enjoyable time at Chi Spa.

Back to my fav buffet (Line), but disappointed with the drop in quality of food.

Giving them 4 stars because I was not impressed with their international buffet. Definitely over hyped due to the Shangri-La brand. The international buffet tastes just like any other international buffets in Singapore. The restaurant wasn't that impressive either. Will not waste my time and money travelling there just for food. On the other hand, the rooms are well designed and the staff are extremely service oriented. Enjoyed my stay, despite it being a weekend, the pool wasn't over crowded.

One of my best experiences. The hotel is grand. Everything about the hotel is beautiful. The buffet spread is something you cannot find elsewhere.

Went there for a dinner and dance, food was decent and event was well hosted !

Was attending a event 'SILENT HERO' with my family members. Food service need to improve, guest seated almost for 15 mins no drink served even after requesting.

Once again a great place to stay. The staff are very attentive.

Positives:

The most beautiful hotel lobby I have ever seen. The art that's on display there combined with the architecture and high ceilings is simply fantastic!
The bar in the lobby I is in in front of a beautiful overgrown stone wall that makes for a very pretty backdrop.
The drinks aren't cheap but you get what you pay for as the ambience is wonderful and at times even life music by some very talented musicians will no doubt make your time there even more enjoyable.
The pool area is lovely as well with lots of space to bake in the sun or swim.
The restaurant downstairs next to the pool has absolutely wonderful food. If you love Asian cuisine and sea food like me you will be a very happy guest.
The room was quite big even with a LOT of luggage that we brought, there was still enough room for me to do some yoga stretches before bed.
Also there was a proper fold out vanity. A dream for everyone who is into their makeup.
I also noticed an indoor play area with a big ball pit and climbing things. I'm sure it's meant for kids but it looked so much fun I was a bit tempted to sneak in myself.

Negatives:

There can sometimes be a long queue for a taxi so it can take a while of waiting until you can get going.
Orchard road is within walking distance but a bit awkward to get to and as far as I could tell there was no MRT close to the hotel.
Checking in took too long for my taste as there are only a few desks operated at a time and the progress seemed rather slow. It didn't help that other guests cut the cue in front of us twice when we tried to check out whitch also took long.

Best hotel to stay in Singapore near Orchard Road, large swimming pool, friendly staff, clean and comfortable bedroom

It always feels like coming home when we arrive at the Shangri-La Singapore. Always very welcoming and restful.

Service is good, staff are friendly, quiet environment. This hotel is like 10 mins walk from/ to the orchard road, which is quite a distance for shopees.

A truly wonderful staycation! From the get go, it was a nice touch to get a room upgrade, and to enjoy the abundance of facilities that our children truly enjoyed. Buds, Splash Zone and a spacious swimming pool scattered with fish feeds and cupcake making really made for a more than pleasant experience for my family. Added with friendly staff such as Iffah and Suzanna who helped us at the counter, it was just smiles all around. Having been to a multitude of hotels in Singapore and overseas, this place just checks all the boxes. Thanks very much for giving my family a memorable stay!

We love the Hotel - and especially the wonderful team of people who work there. The Horizon Club team are fantastic and I would single out Ray at the Waterfall restaurant for particular mention - easily the best server we came across - especially at the Waterfall, where service was rather inconsistent - especiallly at the weekend - perhaps our only small negative!

Check-In services was great and smooth. Ms Ning (at the reception) was very helpful and friendly. She gave us some good pointers to enjoy our stay in Singapore.

The room was spacious, breakfast had a good spread. We also loved the great service and pool access. Although there were many kids around, it wasn't too crowded since we were there on weekdays. Overall a great stay we will be back :) maybe the only thing to improve, would be to share with us more on what we can explore on grounds at check in

World best hotel, service and great facilities and design.

From check in and throughout the stay the staff was professional and helpful with whatever we needed. This has been the best hotel I have stayed at in my business and personal travels.

The room was clean and spacious.

All the restaurants were great and definitely enjoyed the seafood buffet

Overall an excellent experience. Hotel has made some minor changes since our last visit. A great hotel for relaxation, good food and handy shuttle bus to Orchard Road that comes very hour. Like a private oasis in the middle of busy Singapore.

The staff and employees of the Shangri-La are some of the most professional and courteous people I have had the pleasure of meeting. The rooms are excellent and I have always enjoyed my stays.
