A very nice hotel in the center of a very large city of Fuzhou though in the province of China. Very good protection of the hotel. Breakfasts very varied and divided into European and typically Chinese. Happy hours on the upper floors. Service very helpful and perfect. Generally I recommend!

Location's good in the heart of the city, rooms are clean and fairly spacious, service and amenities are decent, and the food's great at the second-floor Chinese restaurant Summer Palace. Best thing is the view overlooking Wuyi Square Park with its stainless steel Sanshanyishui (three hills and one river) sculpture and statue of Mao Zedong. Overall, the hotel lives up to the Shangri-La standards, but falls short of spectacular.

I've stayed in all the major 5 star international hotels in Fuzhou - Hilton, Kempinski, InterContinental, Best Western but I feel the Shangri-la is the most comfortable. It is in a great location with refreshing views of the government park, it has an impressive fully equipped gym with spa and sauna and swimming pool facilities, many international food options prepared to a high standard 24/7, English speaking staff, European management, strong easy to connect WiFi, high pressure showers, decent air conditioning, helpful staff etc. Overall it's always a pleasure to stay here. The value for money is also better than the other options.

I went to dinner with friends on the weekend. I booked this house early, and although I had eaten for the first time, I was not disappointed. I felt very good and awesome. Especially with a lot of accessories, this porridge hot pot has become more distinctive, I like it very much.
Favorite dishes: Crab powder crab bag, Flammulina velutipes, Zhixin pill, Wild mountain porridge, Shrimp slide, Yuanbei porridge, Special taste, Fatty beef

Was in the VIP sector (horizon club). Great breakfast buffet with excellent coffee (a surprise to me in China), choice of Chinese and Westerner food. All of great quality. The happy hour is worth a try: again great buffet and descent drinks. The staff is friendly, and very helpful although their command of English could be improved. They really treat you as a VIP. The room is spacious, good view on the city and mountains (if not misty). Comfortable bed, plenty of small additional goodies. Great bathroom. The lobby is very old fashioned as the rest of the hotel. Great swimming pool and more than decent fitness room.

The hotel is old, outdated and in a serious need for several upgrades. It is very clear that they are not spending any money on it as they are building the new hotel next to it. At the end of the day, you are getting the famous shangrila service at a very cheap price. Location is amazing as it is surrounded by several parks. It is about 50 min drive from airport. Breakfast was good.
