NEVER had a problem that couldnt be solved! Our loan officer Bonnie is kind and "real". Seymour bank was prompt and took care of everything for an emergency loan while we were out of state. We closed our other accounts at the other bank who we had been with over ten years. We never got this service there. We will never leave this bank. If you make your payments on time, let them know in a timely manner of concerns or mistakes, they will help you. Use patience, consideration and common sense and you wont have any problems.

Very unprofessional bank! Someone bought my vehicle by getting a loan through this bank. I went to cash the check there and was treated like a criminal! Awful experience, she didn t even count the money in front of me. I had to ask. No kind of money envelope was given. Told me they would report me to the IRS, all for cashing a check that they wrote!

I was lied to twice. Don't get a loan through this bank if there's a chance you may get behind on your payment. They will screw you. I know plenty of people who have loans with this bank and they all told me the bank will work with you If you get behind. Well winter hit us pretty hard with extremely high electric bills and Christmas so we got behind. The bank told me, one week before Christmas, I was ok to pay weekly payments until I was caught up. Then yesterday my car was repossessed without warning. Now my family is without a car in the dead of winter. Thanks Seymour Bank. Merry Christmas.

I m super impressed with the customer service. You get a person when you call (I know, right?) and get transferred to a person who knows what they re talking about. You won't get stuck in an automated loop hanging up in frustration before you get to the right menu. The Seymour Bank Customer Service is worth a lot of kudos! They are really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Oh, and the app is pretty darn awesome too. There are certainly plenty of advantages to doing business with a bank that knows your name and very few drawbacks.

The people are great, and service is friendly, but...

The people are great, and service is friendly, but as a bank, The Seymour Bank never fails to disappoint. Any type of interaction is difficult, as online services are minimal and not user friendly. Logging in is often a challenge, as they require multiple forms of verification, including the Authy app, which is a truly horrible app. Changes of information have to be submitted several times before your account will be updated (I recently spent 5 weeks just trying to get my phone number changed, and ended up having to go to a location in person to get it done; ridiculous!). If you do manage to log in and get all the security to play nice, you will often get a message that something has gone wrong and to try again later. Be careful with this; if you try again, you can end up locked out of your account. If you get lucky and actually manage to reach your account dashboard, the information is either unavailable or hasn't been updated in several days half the time. On top of that, I have to watch my account very carefully, as they have placed my deposits in other people's accounts, and allowed people not on my account to make withdrawals. If not for my own vigilance, these errors would have cost me hundreds.

If you do not want reliable online access and banking, are still willing to bank like it's 1995, and don't mind having to check your statement in detail for errors weekly, The Seymour Bank is perfect for you!

UPDATE!!!! Three days later, the bank has been unable to restore my online access, nor can I make online payment or account verification of any kind, leaving me unable to pay my bills. A woman at the main office informed us that "they are out of ideas". The bank is making no further attempt to resolve the issue. This after multiple calls and emails (don't bother emailing, I have never received a reply to an email to the Seymour Bank in 12 years as a customer). This bank gives up.

Aviod this bank like the plague, awful customer service, or they don't realize everyone who walks in the door is a potential customer! Loans are like getting loans from a shylock, or loan shark, super high interest rates. I would search elsewhere!

The Seymour Bank is the best bank I have ever had. Because they are privately owned they are able to help local people that other banks will not help. The service is 5 star and the people helpful and professional.

When I needed help, I tried my bank I had been with over 10 years. They refused any help on getting a loan. The Seymour bank was the only bank who gave me the loan I needed, I have been with them ever since. I highly recommend this bank.

While the ladies at the branch in Rogersville are always helpful and friendly, this bank is nothing but hassle after hassle. They just got done redoing the website, which has left users without access to online banking and account information for 5 days straight, and is now requiring people to call the Seymour branch to re-register their accounts. They have also issued new debit cards, which many users are having issues with; I can't go anywhere in Rogersville without seeing someone not able to access their money due to the new debit cards. This situation has wreaked absolute havoc on my household's finances, and made it very difficult to obtain even essentials like food this week, since money and statement information is only available directly from the bank. All in all, The Seymour Bank is failing to perform the basic functions a customer expects from a bank, and cannot be trusted. I will be moving my accounts to a more reliable bank that can issue new debit cards and overhaul their website without so many problems for their customers.
