With a little delay since my daughter came out of your health facility at the end of November and especially from the infectious diseases department, to thank the doctors, the medical staff for their professionalism, for their approach always pleasant with our daughter even with us the visitors . We ignored the walls of the establishment Calmette which carries in him a story, because it is not essential. From reception to the exit, bravo and thank you. We met beautiful people. One of you will recognize himself.

Disappointed with some doctors and nurses and the psychologist who are unable to respect the wishes of a person at the end of life on the pretext that this is for their good. You ask to read the charter but read it yourself. I take exception to certain attitudes for doctors. I advise you to change lanes because support is not your strong point. I am referring to the palliative care service

Hello

Hello
Nothing to say about the service of the day hospital of Calmette the nurses are friendly as well as the staff. But what about the reception of the admissions office or the secretaries of September 14 are rude and aggressive.

Top hospital. The staff in the hospice are great. The doctors and the psychologist assisted and supported us until my husband left. A great accompaniment. They even offered to come back and see them afterwards to obtain medical explanations or psychological help.

Human dignity not respected in palliative care.

Human dignity not respected in palliative care.
When the person is no longer conscious and in a state of death. Certainly she no longer suffers, but her body is allowed to dry up until the heart stops.

Staff really very unfriendly. Does not take into account the availability of patients which requires to cancel again and again appointments. Possibilities to join them only by phone and if we are lucky to have someone she is very unfriendly and say she redirects us when she throws us into a phone neant because we never have anyone after. I strongly advise against Go your way. CRCM very welcoming however, the only kind staff.

I accompanied my dad at the end of his life in the palliative care unit. It is a team of professionals who supervise you very competent. No regrets for choosing this establishment as the last place of life for my dad. He was surrounded and pampered by all the staff. As a close, this event is very difficult to live, thanks to the team, I found the way to stay with him until his last breath. Thank you all.

My dad is since Saturday in the thoracic departmen...

My dad is since Saturday in the thoracic department at Calmette. He had lung surgery on Monday. His operation was scheduled for 12h they operated around 16:30. They put him in a room of intensive care, a room without heating, shameful !!! Fortunately after a while a caregiver went to get an auxiliary heater and blanket. Between two the heating is repaired. Some staff members treat him brutally, without compassion for a 83-year-old man with cancer !! My daddy cries every day, it's hard to feel helpless. They told him normally to be able to return on Friday or Monday. At home I hope he will be able to return soon. Previously he stayed at De Dunkerque Hospital for 3 weeks. When you do not have the patience to take care of the sick, then change your job !!!!! Fortunately there are some good elements otherwise I think it is to become depressed. And the hospital very old and not very clean! One positive thing the hospital has good surgeons. I hope my dad will come back soon and we will take care of him at home. Otherwise it will be his death if he has to stay there too long, he has trouble expressing himself and they do not even have the patience to listen to the end of his sentence. In addition it's 100km from home so I can not go there often Good courage to people in the same situation.

My father was hospitalized in the pneumology department for several months. I specify that I do not include all the staff in this message, Fortunately there are still some people and who do their work properly. But we stayed so much time there that we saw a lot of things shocking. My father, who died today, has left atrocious messages about what he heard from the staff ... I was breathless when I discovered him. Even if the patients are complicated it is their job to stay a little courteous in front of them. Otherwise you have to change jobs. Some examples of what we saw or heard: forget the lunch of the patient, room not made for a few days, it was necessary to wait sometimes 20 mins after ringing. Hurtful, horrible words tell a patient ... No more towels to wash the patient .. Etc. .. And I do not talk about the worst .. Fortunately some doctors, nurse or caregivers was great with him thanks to them ..
