I've never had this many issues with an insurance company as I have with Sendero. Worst insurance ever! I've been trying all year to continue my having to see a Hematologist (still trying) and having billing issues too. TERRIBLE!!!

I m took the Ideal Care option because my heart dr was on it. However this has been a very bad year in terms of health. Sendero has backed my care above and beyond and I am very grateful. I m sticking with these guys as long as I can and hoping that I ll be in better shape by next year.

I am not sure about all of the complaints with Sendero. Recently, we had an ER visit and so far this company has been very responsive, paying the bills on time, and have returned my calls. We have been with them for 3 years now. I dont think there is an insurance company out there that you wont have some issue with but with Sendero I have no complaints thus far. We are very fortunate to have them in the community!! I just have to say from our standpoint, "Keep up the great work Sendero our local communities need you!"

A few weeks after paying my first premium, and not...

A few weeks after paying my first premium, and not hearing anything or receiving any sort of documents I decided to log into the member portal. I quickly found out that the member portal was down. I checked over and over throughout the next couple of days and still nothing. So I decided to give them a call. I was quickly greeted with an friendly automated voice who couldn't understand the word "member" so I tried to input the number 1, which was the alternative option for member services, and to my surprise, the automated system didn't even understand that. I was skeptical of all the negative reviews. Thinking to myself, "it cant be THAT bad", but it is. I'm pretty sure I have pneumonia and cant find a provider that is covered by sendero, because their site is broken, and even if I could find a provider, I don't have a member number to give to them.

Edit: A month later and I finally receive my member cards and can log into the member portal. Turns out it was walking pneumonia glad I had sendero just so I could pay out of pocket because I went to a provider not covered by them. Leaving as 1-star because it shouldn't take 3 months to send out member cards

They made it impossible to get routine vaccinations from a pharmacy or health clinic. The pharmacist specifically asked if I had Sendero before giving me any shots since they knew it wouldn't be covered with them.

Veronica is just the great example of Customer service at Idealcare or any service organization. She is kind, patient and responsive to my questions and concerns. Her experience clearly adds value because she is confident with her responses which ease concerns of this cancer patient. Idealcare has been such a good company to work with. Great customer service all-around.

Better for people in Austin and Cedar Park areas, but not if you move to Belton or Killeen, in our case. Pretty decent customer service, but it would be nice if they expanded to Bell county. Just my thoughts...

This company has been an absolute NIGHTMARE to deal with. I had a policy for awhile, then moved out of state so I had to cancel this one. I was told I had to contact the Healthcare.gov marketplace to cancel, so I did. HC.gov confirmed that the policy was cancelled. Well, the only problem is that Sendero keeps sending me bills and saying my policy is active. I've called 5 times to try and fix the problem. Always have to wait an hour on the phone, then they tell me to call Healthcare.gov again. I'm stuck in an infinite loop of being transferred back to Healthcare.gov, whio tells me the problem is Sendero. This is a terrible company and nobody should use them for healthcare.

Sendero has been mostly a nightmare for me. From accepting my payments but saying they didn't, to canceling my account and then reinstating it, and then forgetting to reinstate it in the market place... Now, when I'm trying to terminate my insurance, I can't because the market place doesn't have an account open for me. They tell me it's Sendero's fault but who knows? In the meanwhile, I'm paying for a new insurance but Sendero keeps sending me bills for my monthly premium. Sendero, if you read this, please help!! My insurance with you should have been cancelled months ago.

Having stated the negative, I should state the positive as well. Sendero did help me once in a big way. I went to the ER and the bills that followed were huge. They were all supposed to go towards my deductible but, after calling Sendero and and explaining how hard the bills were hitting me, they ended up reconsidering and paying a large share of the bills. For that I can't thank them enough.

This insurance company is absolute garbage and nee...

This insurance company is absolute garbage and needs to be cut off from any taxpayer support. They will most likely be extinct next year as the county was going to cut their funding last year due to incompetence and from my recent experiences, they have NOT changed. I have called everyday this week to get a simple answer to a question regarding my 1095 tax form. I wait everyday on hold for about a half hour and then hit "1" for them to call me back within 24 hours.... I have yet to receive any call back and this is my 4th day of trying to reach them. I've dealt with some pretty bad insurance companies in the past, but have never been treated so badly as to prompt me into writing a review to warn others. In response to one of their "desperate" employees, I am NOT an employee of another insurance company trying to give Sendero a bad name. Sendero's treatment of their customers gives them a bad name! They don't need a competitor to call them out... they do it on their own! I will also be contacting the Travis County commissioner's office as well to voice my displeasure in them giving Sendero any of my tax money again for 2019.

So back at the beginning of the year I was waiting for my sons insurance card to get in before I paid them. Never got to me so i called in early march after I paid them for the three months I owed. The rep told me I had to pay first I advised i had done so online (first red flag since he was oblivious to the fact that I already submitted the payment). He told me it would be about 10 business days said OK. Three weeks later still nothing so I called. The lady told me I was not authorized to ask for info on the account (seriously I am the father who paid and picked the plan) Spoke with the manager and she insisted that she either speak to my 8 year old son or I get authorization haha. I told her to cancel and send me back my money she said OK and that it would be 4 weeks!!! Its been 8 weeks and no refund and now they blocked me from the policy holders website. So now my son has no insurance and they stole over $400. Great going Sendero Ratero=theif in Spanish.

Most Incompetent Company I've Ever Seen.

Most Incompetent Company I've Ever Seen.

Do Not Signup With Them.

I signed up for them in November because they're the only one I could afford and paid them my first months premium for January 2017. Never received email or confirmation of payment. Called their customer service 5 times over 10 days and never talked to a human.

Their site said I never paid. I sent another payment, it still said I hadn't paid. I've never received an ID card or talked to a human or received an email. I still cant reach them to figure out if they've received my money (even though its been taken from my bank account).

There is no way to reach them. Guess I won't have insurance this year.

When you look at the timing and tone of the reviews you wonder how may of them are legitimate customers and how many might be employees of other health plans. To be sure no one is perfect, but Sendero's customer track record is much better than reflected in these reviews based on our experience.

Can t say what I d like to, don t want my review being removed. After speaking with a team lead at the start of the month; I was told they would cover the prescriptions until the end of the month. Come to find out, they reversed what i was promised the NEXT DAY! I called member services only to get a VERY RUDE agent who I had to argue with and ask for a supervisor or lead 8 times before he said he would try to locate one for me and put me on hold until they closed! I hung up after being on hold for 40 minutes only to discover they now close at 5PM, so most folks HAVE to call during work or lunch to deal with these jackholes. I d give them 0 stars of at all possible. Sick of having to make monthly calls to push them to correct the account! Almost every single month since joining, it s been nothing but stress and headache just to find out they changed hours without notice too!

There is high rate of deficiency in their customer service department, I waited over 20 minutes for customer service to answer my call. Also, five months paying premiums and I still have not received my insurance card.
