Again such a super nice shop, very similar to barns and noble (usa) many books and gadgets, can wander around for hours.

Friendly, pleasant and helpful staff.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending Donner for those looking for their next book.

A lovely bookshop, just a pity that when I visited it again they were busy with renovations and that it was not as cozy as usual + everything was also more difficult to find. But it remains a beautiful shop full of books, magazines, but also a lot of fun gadgets. Really, if the books do not seduce you yet, the range of nice things does. Often related to books (such as satchels or bookmarks), but also some non-book stuff.

Most extensive bookshop in the Rotterdam-The Hague metropolitan region (easily accessible by metro from both cities :-). In addition to a wide range of books, many nice gifts.

Expensive cafeteria, but service is nice. You can check books seated, while tacking snacks deserts or drinks. Big bookstore but does not feel too cozy to go through shelves. Hard to find what you need but staff is very help full.

Uninviting and incomplete. How I miss the old 'Donner' with its unique book stock, where you always ran into something special when you entered

Donner is a great bookstore. You have to go there when you visit Rotterdam. Also nice catering on the first floor.

Always like to walk in here. It is currently under construction. But books continue to book.

It was the day before christmas that i went to go buy presents. There were A LOT of people and the line was very long. But the cashiers were really fast at helping every customer, so were the employees who'd pack the presents. Even though the store was completely full, I was able to also ask some help. Every person that helped me was friendly. Seeing how well the store handled all those people really shows what they are capeble of.

Best bookstore in Rotterdam. Has a good selection of English fantasy books (which is what I was looking for). Other than that it seems that there are a lot of books for all kinds of genres both in Dutch and English. I also looked at travel guides and board games. Everything seems reasonably priced.

Interior brings you back to the eighties but otherwise it is very busy and full. Hard to find.

Wonderful offer! Used book department should, in my opinion, be more extensive.

If you like books you have to go here. A diverse and extensive. Staff happy to advise you. Often lectures by famous writers. Ordering online is possible.

Lamile operation yesterday afternoon in the restaurant. After half an hour and reading 2 newspapers nothing worried. Then I just left.
I will never have lunch here again or buy any more books.

I like to come there. I'm glad there's Donner (again). I like to buy them in the store, occasionally available at the website. Go there like to drink coffee, talk occasionally on business. Good place!

Super extensive quality bookstore in the center of Rotterdam!

De boekenwinkel van Rotterdam. Hun assortiment is gigantisch en de prijzen zijn ook niet gek. Het personeel is ook waanzinnig vriendelijk en iedereen houd van boeken die er werkt. Ze verkopen ook tijdschriften, puzzels en andere leuke dingen die je kan gebruiken om te versieren of sparen. Als ze iets niet op voorraad hebben zouden ze het zelfs voor je kunnen bestellen en ze hebben een online winkel waar je gebruik van kunt maken. Hou je van boeken en ben je in Rotterdam? Dan moet je eens langs gaan bij Donner.

Former allure is gone. Messy, collection seems smaller. I prefer to go to Broese in Utrecht now.

Donner is certainly nicer and bigger but I miss a bit the cozy atmosphere also the lunch area has become less "homely" unfortunately

Having a book delivered as a gift is extra fun to order from Donner. Will be nicely packaged with a personal message on a card !! Nice to give but also to receive! Great, fast service!

Went to this beautifully renovated shop last week. You can easily spend hours here. Many nice corners with books and separate original gift items. A very extensive collection of calendars in all sizes. When we come to Rotterdam, we will from now on go past Donner as usual.

Why should anyone still praise Donner? Donner is where you go for a book in Rotterdam.

The width of the range sometimes goes at the expense of depth, but everything can be ordered. What is more important, the ladies at the desks themselves are bibliophiles of cosmic caliber.

There are few questions that they do not know how to handle. Plus that you have a well-sorted antiquarian shop under the same roof to fall back on. Add to that a music store and a collection of games and it becomes clear that Donner is the closest to Nerdopia in the whole of Rotterdam.
