My recent experience with Helen from Select Appointments was refreshingly positive. What was important to me was she listened and fully understood the type of role I was looking for. Helen was friendly and supportive, gave good advice and always kept me in the loop. After a short time I was put forward for an interview and lucky enough to be offered the role, so a big thank you to Helen. I will have no issues recommending Select in the future.

Easy to communicate with, always on point regarding payment.

Was very fortunate to register with Select. They secured me one position with an excellent company but because of travelling issues I had to leave the company. They then found me my current permanent position in a business I am familiar with and perfect travelling distance. Wonderful. I was assisted by two members of Select Appointments - Emma and Georgia. They were both fantastic throughout, always available if I had any queries and really responsive as well. They provided me with fundamental tips to help prepare me for interview stage and took a real personal approach.

As I'm sure many people have experienced, working with recruiters can be very hit and miss, and more often than not disappointing. But with Select Appointments? Absolutely brilliant! Select are a great source of work, they will try to get you into work asap or when you need it. They pay you correctly for what you have earned and don't con you on holiday pay unlike some other agencies i have been with. I mainly deal with Katie Bernard and always find she is very helpful and understand that you have a life to and always goes above and beyond to help me find work!

I saw a brief description about a role on Facebook which was exactly the sort of role that I was looking for, straight away I messaged for further details about the role and sent over my CV.

The following day Emma Bayliss called me to find out more details about me and what I was looking for an told me about the role that she was recruiting for, I told her how interested I was and that I'd love to apply.

She set up an interview up for the next day with the company, I then had a second interview 3 days later to then be offered the job that weekend!

From start to finish Emma helped me prepare for the interviews, contacted me straight after to see how I got on, she found out any feedback for me straight away and even got back to me on days off or weekends, she really will do anything to help, I also had dealings with Alex Ratcliffe too who was equally as helpful.

I dealt with Georgia Wastell from Select Appointments when I was looking to move job.
As a senior member of staff I regularly recruit myself and am often contacted by recruitment agencies. By comparison, I have to say that dealing with Georgia was a breath of fresh air. Georgia was helpful, discreet, genuine and knowledgeable. At no point did she pester or push me, but rather she was flexible and accommodating to my specific needs.

Extremely efficient and professional job agency; within 20 minutes of walking through the door, I was given a date for a job interview which, subsequent to providing me with temporary employment, led to a permanent contract.

They found me a job very quickly, even in christmas time they propose me a couple of jobs. Better than other job companies.

Lied to me about a telephone interview.. waited for over an hour for a call that never came .. tried to contact Robert Older about it and he never got back to me... lost a possible job oppurtunity.

I was so happy with the service I received because I had a very stressful week started with my hours being cut then becoming redundant.
I updated Kim on my situation and she had a receptionist job come in i was so happy I received a call from her to come in and registered to get things moving and I start new job. Thank you for everything.

My experience of recruitment agencies is, at best, appalling. Candidates are used as a commodity then discarded like yesterday s newspaper without any explanation and more often than not, no contact at all. Even when you chase them, they don t bother returning your call or email. I wouldn t mind but it s not as though I m applying for a job at the minimum wage.
So imagine my surprise when I applied for a job with Select Appointments and was treated like a real person who actually mattered.
My application was acknowledged. I received a phone call from Helen who took the time to ensure I was qualified for the vacancy and would be suitable for their client. She supported her phone call with an email to ensure I knew what would happen next. Helen ensured I knew the application process and even explained a little about the company. She was keen to find out how the interview went and took the time to contact me and listen to my feedback afterwards. I had the same professional experience after the second interview. Helen made the time to respond to communications from me and acted in the professional manner I would expect for a vacancy at that level. It really does make me laugh when job postings require excellent communication and interpersonal skills .. etc, only to find the recruiter possesses none of those skills or behaviors. Helen was a credit to her profession and I hope she gets the recognition from Select Appointments she deserves. Well done.
