Great hotel right on the beach, with a large pool with pool bar. We are here now for the second time for longer. In 2016 we had a spacious double room with 2 huge beds and an upstairs living area. And currently an apartment with a huge kitchen and living area. But only a double bed.

The hotel looks nice on the pictures, but is mediocre, no value for money, tourist trap. Food is average, even though acceptable, but probably the least good we had during our 14 days round trip in lovely Costa Rica. I would not recommend, look a bit around, you will find better and cheaper in the immediate neighborhood !

Wonderful Hotel, polite, friendly staff. Delicious fresh breakfast, I do have to say it's a little expensive to eat lunch and dinner. There is a great restaurant close to this hotel where you can eat for a better price :).

loved this place, its food and their service, nice for outdoor weddings...

Our room was old and did not reflect the cleanliness or quality shown in the photos online (although it was cheap). The bathroom stank and was home to many ants. The garden was nice, but didn t have any seating other than in the private hot tub, which took ~1 hour to fill. We were regularly woken up by the cleaning staff at 8am asking to clean our room. Unfortunately, they spoke little English and seemingly did not understand us asking them to clean it later - they did not return. The bar was great, as was the restaurant - both with friendly staff who spoke good English. Breakfast was awesome with plenty on of options and the bar had a happy hour with 2 for 1 cocktails. The local restaurants were good. The hotel is right on the beach, which was full of fish making it lined with local fishermen with their lines out. The water was somewhat mucky. Overall, probably worth 3 stars if you get one of the newer rooms.

I would like to write a very nice review about this nice 35 room boutique hotel, but instead I m having to warn others of what thieves their employees are. My credit card was stolen, and not once, but twice!!

1st time we d used the credit card it was impossible to say who stole it, but today we checked out and used a card we have used only once in the last couple weeks. 3 hours after using it to check out of Bahia Del Sol, another text from VISA fraud!!

Bahia Del Sol, your employees are thieves and have left me for the remainder of my trip without a credit card!!

Hopefully others will see this and avoid getting scammed by your hotel. Do NOT go to this hotel!!

Very quiet and nice little boutique hotel. A few rooms have been completely renovated and refurbished, to the latest fashion. The family suites weren't so modern, but really spacious and with kitchen, living room and huge terrace.

Bahia del sol, is one place I would definitely say they take care of their customer service. The service here is over the top. When we reserved the hotel we had higher expectations when we saw our room, they decided to move us to this suite that was absolutely worth what I paid for. The hotel moved us to this suite out of courtesy which was phenomenal. The beach side is great it s only about 2 minutes walking, their is also playa conchal about 10 min driving if you would like a sea shell beach , beautiful I would say. Breakfast was limited, but hey it s something. I would definitely stay here again but I ll make sure to rent a suite next time.

Place was amazing food was good. The management could not get bill right amd we where billed twice on food hassle to try to get money back. Make sure you check your bill if u have an event here

Room air got nice and cold. First day on the beach there was a herd of cows laying in the shade of a big tree. Breakfast was good and staff was very friendly.

We had an excellent stay at Bahia del Sol,very friendly and helpful staff,in particular Alex and the bar/ restaurant staff.The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable,the gardens are wonderful.The pool is perfect,with a swim up bar and the hotel is right on the beautiful beach!!! And if you,re not keen on the hotel food,there,s a great bar over the road! All in all a great stay and definitely recommended.

Amazing place and so very helpful. My Aunt owned this hotel back in the 80's and early 90's. It was lovely to see all the changes they had made. The resturant was great also. Will be back. Definately paradise!

Such a perfect spot! I would have given this place 4.4 stars if I could. The pool is great and all the rooms seem to have a good view. Our bathroom was amazing, large and comfortable. The only negative thing about our room was the hard bed. We asked for an extra mattress cover and that helped a bit. The beachfront is beautiful and really quiet. Quite a few restaurants within walking distance. We never used the gym but there is a great CrossFit gym about 300 metres away! CrossFit Surfside. The food was good and lots of healthy option. I would give the food 3.9 stars.
I definitely recommend this place, I think we might even go back.

Absolutely loved this place. It is not a resort by any means but it was absolutely perfect. They offered yoga several times per week outside overlooking the ocean. The pool was small but did have a swim up to the bar area. There was a large beach and several restaurants within walking distance. It was a very relaxing area, quiet and felt secluded which was exactly what we were looking for.

Was there for a wedding, which was beautiful on the beach resort.

A great hotel, in an absolutely unique location. Wonderful people (the Ticos, in particular the Hotel Staff).

Wonderful setting, great value for money, everything to say in favor, nothing against.

I recommend exploring it on foot, especially the trails (you have to go early, excellent to lose yourself in solitude and get in touch with Nature and with yourself.

The beach is more to see than to use, but Penca, 5 'away, is the most beautiful in the area, its incredible sunsets; although it is of care for its currents.

Given very poor room facing a wall with no windows aside from patio door entry rather than a view of gardens or beach. Massage treatments excellent. Food average

Property and rooms in particular, are a bit tired, but a beautiful setting right on a beach.

Nice, low key hotel with beachfront pool and bar. Rooms were large and clean. Every meal was excellent and staff was helpful and courteous.

AMAZING! I just recently stayed at and got married at this wonderful hotel!! This hotel is right on the water while also being surrounded by tropical lush gardens, it was the best of both worlds. I loved how the resort is on the snare side so your not completely surrounded by a ton of people like at other chain resorts. The staff were amazing and attentive and always checking in with myself or my husband. It really showed they cared. We got married and had our rehersal dinner here with about 60 guests, some staying at the hotel with us, and both events could not have been more perfect. The food and drinks and scenery were amazing. We will never forget our perfect vacation and wedding at bahia del sol!

Nice rooms, great grounds, only the shower in our room was stupid, no water pressure. Food was delicious, staff always friendly.

Beautiful hotel, spectacular people ..the spacious rooms, the excellent pool, the delicious food that I can say .. super recommended ... I had nothing bad ... How tourist in costa rica I am happy to find this hotel, because everything was very Bad cost cost service in this was where I felt like a queen !!! What a great job I recommend it super!

Front desk staff is awesome. The bar staff- not so much. They basically ignored us several times when we went to get drinks. The room was okay but thin walls made for lots of outside noise. The grounds were beautiful. Not worth the money probably.

Nice staff, clean spacious rooms with great air conditioning! Liked all the win dows and views of the gardens. Steps away from the pool and beach. Food was good.

The staff is not very attentive, it is not what it seems with regard to quality price the restaurant serves terrible food and there are only 3 options to choose from

In the restaurant your server Meybeline was horrible. Bad attitude not only once but everyday. Asking for items that were never brought and she never even showed up with a response. Great location but this type of employees sometimes ruin your overall vacation. Instead Jean and Alexandra are great on customer service. The location is nice but interior rooms are outdated but clean. Food is very good.

The room was great, service perfecto, breakfast...if you arrived after 9, there was little attention payed. But you cant beat the pool and the beach access.

Very good facilities and it is a nice place to take a rest. Easy to get there. You can see beautiful sunset too

Bello Hotel, very comfortable and pleasant rooms, swimming pool for adults something small but could be a low cost remodeling, There is no WiFi in the rooms.

This is a nice hotel right on the beach beautiful site but the staff is lacking and if you don't buy the drink from the hotel it's not allowed anywhere but your room which is stupid considering how much we payed to stay here I would definitely stay somewhere else

IF YOU ARE RENTING A CAR DO NOT TAKE THE 911 ROUTE TO THE HOTEL!!!! Everything else on the hotel was wonderful. Had an excellent time. Great friendly staff!! Will come again.
