I've never been ripped off like by Securiton ... In 2014 they sold me a Visonic wireless alarm system.

From the beginning I wanted an alarm transmission via IP. This requires an additional module, they said. You can retrofit it later and temporarily use the analog telephone line for transmission. All alarm bells should have been ringing for me then, but I thought nothing of it at the time. The offer came in 2017: IP module 950.-, installation 1,200.- and processing fee 500.- + VAT ... In response to my inquiry, I was assured that only the module will be offset against the actual work - so no excessive work Installation fee and no incomprehensible processing fee. Then I received an invoice with the amount offered ... My complaint was followed by a verbose apology and a corrected invoice.

Only a year later, the IP module caused problems: it is known, it has to be replaced and - apart from the work - it works under guarantee, said Securiton. The IP module was replaced and the system was running properly again. About half a year later (!) The bill came in again for well over 2,600.- Whether you've waited so long, hoping I'll forget about the guarantee and just pay ...? Again I made a complaint, again they apologized verbatim and sent a corrected invoice (IP module under guarantee).

In 2020 I will receive a letter from Swisscom: I still have a 2G module and 2G will be switched off at the end of 2020. Of course it is the mobile backup of the alarm system ... It turns out that there are no more spare parts and no 3G / 4G module either. The system has to be replaced ... I also find out that the system sold to me in 2014 was already end of life in 2012: Securiton has sold me old remaining stock from the warehouse at a completely exaggerated price.

I now have a modern alarm system from another provider at a reasonable price. Never again Securiton!
