Overall, the refinance was an ok experience. The escrow handling was subpar and my homeowners insurance was not paid per the disbursement page. Waiting for the company to fix this problem. My rating may change depending on how this is handled going forward. Final rating applied. Dump and run with this company.

My husband and I decided to refinance our house. In doing so, we first encountered Nicole Hill who began the initial process. Her demeanor, kindness and overall knowledge was impressive. Like many home owners recently, we received numerous offers from mortgage companies offering excellent refi rates - they ALL come with the fine print on the back that you should be sure to read because in order to get that ultra low rate, you need to fulfill the criteria listed.

Secure One Capital was one of the many, including our own/current servicer to send us these offers. At a time when many of these mortgage companies are so busy, Anthony and Austin at Secure One Capital were very responsive and attentive from the first time I called in. Anthony and Austin were willing to work around our schedules to collect necessary information and discuss refinance options - they are based out of California and we are on the east coast.

While I suspect that there would have been a few less fees to refi with our current mortgage servicer (easier keeping our mortgage in house I would guess), Austin made it so easy and walked me through every step as it needed to be done. When you re considering a big loan, it can be a daunting and nerve wracking task to thoroughly read through mortgage documents, but if there was any question or explanation needed, Austin was quick to respond.

I appreciated the ability to communicate via phone/email/text. It made the forwarding of documents very easy. There was also an option to upload documents online for those who prefer a more secure method.

My time is valuable and I appreciated Austin s efficiency - he knew what to ask us for before it was needed for our files. Any letters that needed to be written to clarify information in our file were drafted almost immediately and available for us to sign and return.

The actually signing of the mortgage was still the same lengthy paperwork to move through, an unavoidable inconvenience for refi, but a local notary signing agent came to the house to walk us through it. Austin was available during that time when a question came up in the paperwork and he promptly addressed it.

Of course Secure One Capital wants your business, but Anthony and Austin are people you want to do business with, explaining every part of the process so thoroughly, making it so easy and efficient from start to finish. I m very pleased with our decision to work with them, and will call them in the future with any questions or concerns I may have.

Just closed on a Refi with Austin at Secure One Capital on Jan 22nd and it was smooth sailing. Austin was very attentive, knowledgeble and in constant contact for what was needed from me. My only reason for not giving five stars to Secure One was the fact I did not get the lowest rate which I believe I deserved with my credit rating. This of course had no bearing on Austin's five star performance!

Branch Manager and Loan Officer Bruce Edgell, Branch Assistant Matt Oliver, Senior Processor Elizabeth Galaviz-Gomez, Opening Processor Gardenia Astudillo, and Loan Funder George Madrid, were ALL magnificent in opening AND closing/funding my refinance within just 30 days (April 1 to April 30, 2020). I value customer service, sometimes even over loan rate or terms, yet Bruce Edgell's team at Secure One Capital exceeded my expectations on all fronts. I saved well over $500 per month on my mortgage, got an incredible fixed rate, and received white glove handling throughout. Nice work. Would recommend.

Rick Albrecht was the loan processor that assisted in the refinance. He was extremely professional and kept me updated. He explained the process and the time period it would take. He was right on target. From start to finish, there were no issues. It was one of the fastest refinance I had ever had. I would recommend this company and especially Rick.

I recently got my home refinanced with Secure One Capital. I was referred by a close friend of mine to get some information on refinancing my condo. By the time I hung up the phone conversation with Austin, I found myself emailing all necessary documents to him to begin the process of refinancing with Secure One Capital! Since then, the process was flawless. Austin was knowledgeable, professional and honest. Whenever I asked him questions by phone, emails or text, his responses were very prompt and satisfactory. I was informed very clearly in every steps moving forward including home appraisal, notaries and contacting the management company and insurance company for my condo.

I had the pleasure of working with Daniel Ortega from Secure One Capital. Daniel quickly earned the nickname the hardest working man in finance from me. It's does not mater the time of day or the day of the week, Daniel was always there for me throughout the whole refinance process. Daniel very knowledgeable and personable which made the refinance process less painful. I have never met Daniel in person, however I now consider him a friend. Talk to Daniel he will take good care of you.

Worst experience of our lives. We first contacted rick albrecht a couple months ago looking for a cash out refinance. (I explained to him due to severe plumbing issues in our home that we only bought 2 years ago we had to dump over $40,000 into repairs) after some discussion, rick told us our home should appraise for enough to pay off over $700 a month in bills, give us a $2000 cash refund, $1100 in escrow refund and be able to hold 2 future payments for about a $1200 mortgage payment (interest rate going from 3.625 to 5%). Amazing right? WRONG! So wrong! For starters the house appraised for much less then we anticipated (not ricks fault I know) but we were promised that we could still pay off 2 cards, receive $1500 cash back and $1100 back in escrow with a new mortgage of $1014. All said and done we got those two cards paid off. But DID NOT receive any cash back, only $760 in escrow, and only got to hold 1 future payment. Rick never informed us that in order to hold 2 months payments we had to purposely not make January s, he never informed us we were not receiving money back till after we signed. And now, a week before our first payment is due it is not $1014 a month, but $1181! We will NEVER do business with rick or his company again I urge everyone to look elsewhere! You are only gaining a temporary solution to a now 30 year problem.

We used Secure One recently to refinance for a lower rate. The process went very smooth. Austin Beck was as professional and responsive as it gets. I would use them again and would recommend using them if you are looking for great rates.

Extremely happy to have found Anthony and Austin! They helped us do our refinance on our home and the process was very easy. They answered all of my questions and concerns!

I recently received a flyer in the mail from Secure One Capital and decided to give them a call based on the rate that they were quoting for a refinance. We live in Texas, and being that Secure One Capital's office is in California I was not sure that they could help, however, with the wonderful rate I knew I had to try. (Texas is a tricky state for refinance! not easy, different laws/rules apply)

When I did finally talk to someone with Secure One Capital, I spoke with Jeff Janke, he immediately put me at ease as he explained that he was well versed in the Texas rules, laws, etc. with home lending! We spoke a bit on the phone and I decided to start the process that day!

Jeff was amazing. He was attentive, patient, informed and really took the time to answer all of my questions. I asked him over the next couple of days to run many models showing me the different rates, what the numbers would be for each and the pros and cons.

Jeff not only worked with me on my questions, giving me all of the answers I could possibly use in my decision making, he gave me sound advice and helped me to look at the numbers from a perspective that I had not thought of, really giving me the confidence to make the right decision!

During the process Jeff reached out to me often to check on me and make sure I did not have any additional questions and to let me know where our loan application was, what part of the process we were in and approximate time frames and overall expectations.

We were surprised when we received a call from Jeff saying that everything went through smoothly and that we were ready to close. The title company reached out to us and scheduled our closing on the same day!

Today at 5:30 pm we had a notary at our home with all loan docs and signing papers for our loan.

My husband and I have purchased many homes, etc throughout our lives... and NEVER... I mean NEVER.... has anything gone so smooth, so pleasant and so EASY!

Jeff's expertise and sincere concern for our well being in this process made this such a wonderful experience. We could not be more pleased and absolutely cannot recommend Jeff Janke and Secure One Capital enough!

Working with Adam was a great experience. I was working with another lender then i received a letter in the mail from Adam and Secure One Capital. His rate was half a percent less and cost were so much less! I was already 2 weeks into the process with the other lender (they said it would take 8 weeks to close) and Adam told me he can get the loan done in under 30 days. I didn't need an apprasial and he delivered on everything he promised and we closed in less than a month. Thanks for being such a great help in this typically hard and strenuous process. Bruce , Jeff and Siara were such a blessing during this whole process which made things so much smoother especially do to the fact they are working with and against the VA which can make everything more difficult even though this should not be the case. If you are going to pull my loan information and make it look like it is from my current lender, I suggest you get an answering machine if you actually want business. Seems to me you are taking advantage of people with FHA loans.

I usually don't respond to mailers, but I decided to give this one a shot given the state of the market. I was surprised to get a response back within minutes from their representative Anthony who placed me in direct cell phone contact with my residential banking advisor Austin. He was more than courteous and professional, but made himself available to me early mornings, late nights, weekends, and any other times I had a question. No matter how simple or complex the inquiry, Austin provided me with a prompt response and in the end gave us a very competitive loan and we were able to close within a month! Moreover, the new rate should save us tens of thousands of dollars over the loan period.
