I love this place, I really do. I've owned my timeshare here for almost 20 years and have stayed at the same location almost every time. So why only 4 stars? Because things change and not always for the better. The resort now managing Seawinds tries very hard to accommodate but has fallen short of late. There was no week available for me due to a sale of the weeks I usually switch to. Maybe not their fault but I'm not happy. In the last 1p years, at least, I have switched my late April week to an early June. Now these weeks have been sold and aren't available at my home resort. Which is where I prefer to stay and why I bought there in the first place.

The accommodations seem to fluctuate as well. While I appreciate the new towels this year and I think even new mattresses, why is there still a broken window in the bathroom of unit 4 for at least 4 years? Why doesn't the fireplace work in unit 4 (which is why I was moved to another unit)? Why is there still no screen on the bathroom window in unit 1? Why was the towel rack in the bathroom of unit 1 fixed (finally) so that the towels hang on the floor? Why are all the window sheers disappearing and the regular double front window curtains being replaced with a single curtain? The sheers provide a little privacy while still letting light in and the double front curtain is far easier to open than the 1 single. And why, oh why, was there difficulty with the cable the entire week I was there? This is something that comes up when you're not a peak visitor and everything closes at 8 or 9.

Is this a good location? Yes. Does it have a beach? Yes. Are there creature comforts in the room? Yes. Are there things to do close by? Yes.

So again, I really, really love Seawinds. I like that the managing hotel is trying. I just think somewhere the ball is being dropped.
