Their socially distanced live theatre protocols are so safe and effective, making me feel comfortable taking in their amazing programming even in this uncertain time. Go see their shows and support live theatre. As a region, we need the Rep now more than ever!

Great little cozy theater with nary a bad seat (except when some props are used). Rows can be close together but there were places where you could spread out a bit more if you need it. Staff are great and you're made to feel welcome. Semi circle rows of seats wrap around a small stage where the prop department makes really good use of limited space. Sound system can be a bit loud. The Winter Wonderettes were well, wonderful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the music and story line. I commend these actors as it was a 2-hr show with a short intermission halfway through and they were just as fresh at the end as they were in the beginning. Lobby area (small bar and lounge seating) gets cold on a cold and windy night as there is no windbreak to dampen the cold that blasts in every time the door is opened, so dress in layers. The theater itself was very comfortable. Nearby parking is limited so be prepared to come an hour or so early, or drop people off and head for nearby public lots or the Hanover St. garage. Some lots are permit-only, so look carefully for signage - it's not always prominent.

A fantastic place to see a show, the best theatre and my personal favorite of all I've visited in New Hampshire. The theatre has stadium seating, seating I've come to appreciate. I've sat in multiple different rows including the front row, and can attest that there's no bad seat in the house. Sound quality is superb, and the people performing are absolutely always incredible and give amazing performances. Water is free, snacks are sold and alcohol is sold to those interested. Overall a great theatre that will always be my number 1 choice in New Hampshire. Certainly worth a visit.

Our first visit to the theater was with our granddaughter to see a Charlie Brown Christmas. We loved the intimacy of the theater, and there seemed to be no bad seats. We will definitely be back!

I've seen several prodcutions here now including In The Heights, Spring Awakening, Rocky Horror, and coming soon, Avenue Q. I have yet to be disappointed! Great acting, adorable venue, and great prices. I often go to NYC and Boston to see shows, and I am always impressed by Seacoast Rep.

We saw ragtime here yesterday. The theatre isn't bad but there is no handicap accessibility. Every seat is a great seat, but the elderly had a very hard time getting up and down all the stairs, which caused a back up trying to enter and exit. Great place, they just need to update for handicap and elderly.

Never disappointed when we see a show at the REP. The cast is simply amazing. It is amazing to see the energy the these professionals put into a show. Everything we have seen is always high energy. A shout out to the set designers and artists that put it all together. If your ever in Portsmouth be sure to take the time to see a show. You'll be a supporter too.

Fun, fun, kitschy and simple. Did I say fun? It's small and intimate which can make for fun shows. Poor bar/snack selection as you'd probably imagine. Some solid shows but can be hit or miss if you go to random selections

Wonderfully community theater focused on musical entertainment. The theater itself can offer physical challenges for patrons who are not nimble, however the productions will delight. Love their youth productions which inspire local young talent.

The performance itself was amazing. Went and saw West Side Story. Great talent had there. But as I sat to the far right side I took notice to the carpentry work of the stage lighting. The whole beam was being held up by 2x4s floating on the angeled support, meaning the bottom of the 2x4s were toe nailed in, they were not cut to an angel and flushed to the support at all. Now I'm sure there's much more support for this structure up above and I sure hope so, but it striked the curiosity of how stable this was. That wasn't the only structure put together sloppy like. The stage is pretty cool and how the seating is condensed to get close to the performance, so that was cool. Very small stage. Its located just off the water to the edge of town, which was so nice. They are an organization that accepts donations to keep operating and I think they are doing a fabulous job and I'm sure they've come a long way. Lets just hope those structures that rest above our heads as we watch the entertainment are structurally sound and safe!

A gem of the Seacoast. Always punching way above their caliber, this theatre puts on shows that are so high quality, they rival the performances of major cities. Musical theatre, adult drama, kid shows and more, From the typical to the unusual, there is something for everyone at this theatre. The Red Light series shows are my favorite here because they feature dark comedy and unique musical performances by local artists who appear to be having a permanent acid trip. They bring you into their world beautifully and leave you safely in firm footing before you leave. Mad Haus in particular is a monthly television soap opera featuring a skeleton that kills people, his lover, and a story teller, and their crazy cast of rotating supporting characters, but you can only see each episode live. If you miss it, oh well. There are no reruns. The musical theatre has professional performers with high quality sound, sets, musicians, and choreography. This place is professional and beautiful, located literally underground right on the water's edge in Portsmouth. Go here for an evening of entertainment. They even take Bitcoin for tickets and drinks. Very cool.

The only reason this is a one star review is because of the theater management. They have shown unfair treatment of employees and I won't return until this is remedied. The latest action of firing the artistic director based on office politics is appalling. I will be telling everyone I know the same.

FANTASTIC! I love the more intimate setting that allows you to feel a part of the performance. Have been to several productions and "the producers" was by far the most impressive adventure. The cast and crew were amazing, funny with great timing, innovative use of the steps/props and an unbelievable number or fabulous costumes! Loved the show and impressed with the theater. PS great drinks but an older building use the bathroom facilites BEFORE the show.

Small and intimate space made me feel part of the play. Saw Billy Elliot, and laughed, cried and sat in awe of the beauty of dance and humanity. Oh, and the box office resold my unused ticket and gave me a gift certificate for the cost. What a gem of the arts in Portsmouth!

We watched the Delta Miles performance tonight. I paid for the tickets using my Delta Sky Miles American Express. I was skeptical when Delta introduced a dessert made with cat litter, strawberries and mayonnaise. After I sample this dessert, I readily realized that the combination of ingredients really worked!!! Delta has very stong vocals and seeing the show is a real treat!!

There was a problem with our server and our order apparently wasn't put in until we complained. Needless to say every table round-offs were served and finished before all entrees arrived. In their favor the manager comped us for the meals and we only paid for drinks. The food was pretty good. The delay was too long.

Small to medium size theater, intimate and with special charm, seating is quite tight.
The production what I saw - Christmas Carroll was really enjoyable and engaging. In my opinion this theater company has a big potential to make quality performances!
