Off the beaten path and a unique experience. Casey our tour guide was great and gave an informative and entertaining tour. The caves and history of the two eras of the winery are fascinating. I am saving the 5th star for a tour that shows some more of the current equipment, even if only briefly.

Something of a hidden secret in Napa, Schramsberg provides the kind of winery tour that doesn't really exist in other places that are now swarmed by tourists. You have to make an appointment quite far in advance but it's absolutely worth it. The groups are kept fairly small and it's an extremely informative presentation about the techniques and history of sparkling wine. The caves are fascinating, the wines are excellent and even walking through the gardens adds to the experience.

Great vineyard with friendly staff and very unique tour. The reason I m giving it 3 stars is because they don t have a separate price for their tour if you are not drinking. I understand you are paying for the tour which is fine to have a discounted rate but a member of our party was newly pregnant and still had to pay the full price. Other tours we have been on have had a discounted rate for her. Maybe something they can think of doing for the future.

In short, I ll never give this place a dime of my money ever again. We did the $125/person tour. The wine, food pairings and tour guide were all amazing. The part that made our trip a never again was the owner. When we arrived at the parking lot, a truck was stopped, then suddenly started backing up all while not in a spot. My husband veered around as the truck was about a foot away from hitting us. The driver then yelled obscenities and blamed us for driving erratically...we pulled into a lot slowly and he clearly didn t see us. He yelled about how we should be patient...patient for him to hit our car?!?! Turns out, he s the owner. We saw his picture on the wall when we did our tour. We were prepared to buy a couple cases of wine, but instead we will happily spend our money at one of the other thousands of wineries in the area. Thanks for the warm welcome, Hugh. Hope you re nicer to your staff than you were to your customers.

This was our first visit to a vineyard and we really enjoyed it! Art was a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. We learned a lot! Great history here and so amazing how the sparkling wine is stored. Beautiful property and very tasty wine. Thank you for showing us around!

This was by far my favorite wine tour during my visit to the Napa region. The tour guide was extremely knowledgable, entertaining and passionate about Schramsberg and just wine in general. The cave tour was fascinating, with riddling racks and demos, history of the vineyard and region, and in depth explanations regarding the wine making process. While the tour was a little pricey, it was well worth $60. This is a must-do if you are a wine enthusiast (even if you are not a sparkling wine fan)!

My father and I visited this lovely, historic winery on a quick trip to Napa. The experience was top notch from start to finish. Schramsberg is limited to the number of guests they can accommodate each day (a silly CA rule), but the limited number of guests accommodated meant that the tour size was intimate and it felt like we were the only people onsite! The wines are fabulous, the property and caves are amazing and our host was incredibly generous with his time and information (1.21.20). We took many bottles home for ongoing enjoyment! Thank you Schramsberg team for a wonderful experience!

I know these are sparkling wines and therefore more expensive, but for the 2-stop tour, $65 per person seems a bit high! My husband loved every one. Very educational tour guide and very helpful in suggesting other places in Napa to see. You get to see massive caves and hear about the process of good science in wine making.

Even if you're not the type to go to wineries by appointment, make an exception for Schramsberg. I believe it is $30, and you must have a reservation, but it is worth the trouble. You will be rewarded with a super-informative tour through the caves, where they truly do everything old-school, and taste probably the finest sparkling wine in the U.S. Don't miss this one.

If you were there a few weeks ago and got annoyed by the foursome singing "Tiny Bubbles" loudly, my apologies. We love Schramsberg! The tour was lovely and informative and the sparkling wines were amazing. Highly recommended!

Visiting this winery is essential for sparking wine lovers. Of the 4 in the valley, it is the best in my opinion. After checking in, we were led to our shaded picnic table to begin the tasting. Our host was knowledgeable without being condescending. Due to covid we weren t able to tour the caves, which we had done on a previous trip, but it was still worth going for the tasting.

Been to 5 different vineyards and this one was our favorite!! AMAZING experience, OUTSTANDING tour! Shoutout to Brittany - she made the experience for us! If you want good info, interesting history, and incredibly champagne, then go here!!

This was probably my top 2 or 3 vineyard I visited out of the 9 we went to last week. We did the cave tour & tasting. I did not realize that the whole tour was going to be in the cave! Pretty cool. A lot of good information and history. Usually the best time to visit wine country is the fall because of harvesting (all the action), but we managed to see some action. They were bottling 2012 Chardonnay, so we got to see the bottling machine in action, and the ladies putting on the labels by hand. Never knew that sparkling could be so enjoyable. Try it out.

Also, the wine tasting was by candlelight, which was pretty cool.

One of the best sparkling wine tours available in Napa! Amazing history and attention to detail in winemaking. Oh, and their sparkling wine is varied and wonderful. They have something for all price ranges and palates. I was very happy to have moved off the waitlist to their Riddler's club. We buy multiple cases of wine per year from Schramsberg, and I only wish I had time to drink more of it.

I have been on the cave tour and raring many times but never the cheese pairing option.

The cave tour is impressive along with the story of the history of the property. You ll spend 15-20 minutes walking through the caves and seeing the literally millions of bottles that are stored. You ll also learn about the process to make sparking wine including the riddling process.

We then sat down to 5 wines with cheeses and other small items to try the wines with and experience how the flavors change with what your are eating. There is no better sparkling wine in the valley.
