Nice and large hospital with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Restaurant, a cup of coffee on the expensive side and the food is good to do. Eating in a hospital is a free choice and a piece of service to people who have to wait a long time. People it is your personal disappointment about the food and not that of someone else.
friendly and helpful people, clear explanations / consultations, good food / drinks and a friendly environment (heart).
My wife was well helped but in the department it was chaotic. The intake lasted 2 hours and one day later we had to wait 2.5 hours for the medication before we could go home.

Terwijl Nederland worstelt met het stikstof probleem en stakingen, worstel ik met een ander probleem, al rugpijn in Rotterdam en dan gaat het in Drenthe helemaal mis kan niet meer lopen per ambulance pijnschaal 10 /10 naar het Scheper ziekenhuis Emmen vanaf dat moment neemt een keur van artsen/specialisten het over,onderzoeken, foto s, M.R.I scans, CT scans, PET scan prostaat onderzoek, biopties en ga zo maar door,dan de uislag helemaal mis niet goed uitgezaaide prostaatkanker naar de rug - maar door het snelle en adequate ingrijpen van de artsen/specialisten en de daarop volgende behandelingen die in een sneltreinvaart doorgaan -10 bestralingen- hormoon therapie en medicatie wordt een dwarslaesie voorkomen en de daarop volgende behandelingen zorgen voor verder doorgaand herstel.
En hoe dankbaar ben je dan als je weer kan staan en begint met lopen.
En dan na ruim 3 weken wandel je het Scheper ziekenhuis uit een wonder met steun en nieuwe kracht voor de toekomst ..bedankt.

What a nice hospital! I am used to the hospitals in the Randstad, and Emmen was a relief. Hospital looks cozy. Coffee bars in various places. Very friendly staff in all places. Beautiful waiting areas with free coffee, wifi and waiting time info.
Arrived with a sick child (on vacation, so no doctor). Measurements were helped on First Aid and admission was arranged in 30 minutes. Fantastic staff. And good food. Even had food for the rest of the family during the visit. Super hospital.
Is not enough attention given to patients in all departments, even patients who are not allowed to leave the department. Not all agreements are complied with
First of all free parking. Clear road signs. Friendly voluntary hosts and women.
Bad experience in emergency care. A bit friendlier is allowed.

Excellent hospital. Everything exactly on time and cheerful staff from the reception to the surgeon. The professional guidance made me feel welcome and the intervention by Dr. Schweter and his cheerful team couldn't have been better executed either.
Moderate hospital. They can only do the basic things. And the food is nothing short of gross.

I am really faint from the emergency room here 2 years ago already an incident gwhad where I had to come urgently with holes in my legs close to the arteries and then sat for 1.5 hours while the blood continued to flow, now I am here again after I sustained an injury to my foot last Saturday (metatarsal broken and only bruised) and I only helped an hour after the agreed time and then I was told that I should call back on Monday to have an X-ray taken or now I have to wait for Monday to make an appointment and when I call I am then chased by the secretary that I should not actually have a photo taken because it was my own choice to do something about it on Monday, after a lot of nagging back and forth I am finally here and they cannot find the appointment for the photo and I can wait another hour or two before something happens, it is so sad that you are so andeld and you actually have to keep your foot so bad that an X-ray MUST be made because you can not walk and the pain is intense but because the secretary treated so badly and you actually do not want to help .... It is as everyone says Schepershobbyclub
What a bad experience at the GP post. Very unfriendly and blunt doctor. Plus that if you have been at the emergency / GP post after hours and you want to leave, you have to hope that they are not on the phone, otherwise you can take an hour or so before you can leave ... Bad organization.

Lied there a while ago. A fellow patient (who thought I was sleeping) asked a sister why I was lying there. Does that sister tell her that too? What a stupid action (of both) and a gigantic breach of my privacy!
