Food quick and hot. Good eats but wait staff needs to be friendlier

Been coming here for over 30 years, same great service, great food

When I feel like having a cheeseburger, I know it will be good at Scarpelli's.

The food was not hot,service slow.Heared 2 waitresses talking to each other and they were moaning and groaning about other
co-workers .Not nice.

They make homemade raviolis cut from hand both cheese and meat and several other Foods very homey old fashioned Grandma and Grandpa type restaurant

How can people give this place 5 stars?? I just dont get it. They serve frozen hockey pucks for burgers not fresh ground beef. Walked in and found this out and walked out. People dont know quality food if ur giving 5 stars for frozen food.

Been going to Scarpelli's for years love the food the service is excellent the waitresses are always friendly l like the fact that you don't have to wait for ever to get your food prices are reasonable just a overall great place to eat.

Food great. The cook thought my eggs were overcooked so they brought me 2 more. They always want food to be perfect. Customer service is great too. Waitress very nice and efficient.

The breakfast was hearty and delicious, while the service was good (with friendly and attentive staff) and the setting cozy though not rustic. I was in town just for a visit, but I would be happy to go back to Scarpelli's the next time I should be in Torrington.

I will never go to Scarpelli's to eat ever again. Let me start off by saying that I have visited this restaurant twice. The first time, my girlfriend and I went for our date night, two hours before the restaurant was supposed to close. Before we could even order we were informed very rudely that the grill was already closed for the night so all we could order were salads. During the second experience, when out with some friends, a friend asked politely if they could make a side of sauce, one of the waitresses yelled across the restaurant "No!" and when another waitress asked anyways the first responded with "I told you!" Our waitress, or team of them, continuously had rude attitudes for the remainder of our experience. The waitresses also had a team conversation about how ridiculous we were for asking for a side of sauce. I have never before experienced such ill-mannered staff at a restaurant. Literally the worst dining experience of my life.

Just passing through on a trip, great food, great service @ a reasonable price ! I can see why they've been open for 81 years.

Hard times for this old landmark restaurant in Torringtons west end. Good portions and okay quality...used to go there with my mom back in the 70s for their famous footlong hot dogs and fresh cut French fries.

Really nice waitresses, they get your order out really fast and the food is really good.

Food was horrible , I ate at this place years ago and it was fabulous but today not so good I had to chase the waitress for napkins, had to ask her for bread, don't think I'd eat there again

love this classic hometown diner ish restaurant. great waitstaff!! always packed in the morning you can tell they have their regular loyal customers. not too expensive at all. definitely going back!!

Comfort food at a reasonable price. Middle of the road burgers, canned veggies, and bottled dressings and salsa.
