Great. They have a team people, possibly members of the public, informing you not to leave your dog in the hot car. I didn't plan to, but had my strawberry picking hat on, so conclusions were drawn.. I then removed the hat and awaited the return of family and fruit.

Strawberries are good and reasonably priced, and that's essentially all you go for. Bloke doing the weighing and charging could use a few lessons in customer service - as I approached the front of the queue I removed an obviously rotten strawberry from the basket my kids had picked and he shouted "put that back". When I pointed out it was obviously rotten he said "well you picked it". Mmmm, impressive stuff, think I'll try Wymswold next time.

Loved the fruit selection , picked strawberries, blackcurrants and redcurrants. They also did raspberries,( not ripe on the day) and gooseberries which I grow so didn't need them. Well organised and a shop and cafe which I didn't use this time.

Loved it, plenty of room for spacial awareness. Planned well, altho some people didn't follow guide lines... but that wasn't Scallows' fault at all. The children loved it, we all did and do every year. Thanks Scaddows. By the way, try their farm shop, great products.

28jun2020 - Had a lovely time picking strawberry from the field. Spent a good time with family on this trip.

Tip - search for strawberry in the middle of the field, if possible at the start of the season.

At the end have a great day and help the local community.

Good PYO especially for redcurrants. Due to a very dry year, other crops like raspberry were not as good. And what little there was get picked off very quickly - but that's not the fault of the place.

It was nicely set out, they give you sleds and you don't need to book/pay for entry which seems rare at the minute given the climate. Unfortunately I think we came too late in the season (25th Oct) and almost every single pumpkin had some rot/other holes eaten into them. This is obviously just nature and no fault of the farm, we will come earlier next year.

Great little farm shop with jam, ice cream, , frozen baked goods like croissants, drinks, a little coffee shop and a toilet. All was clean and friendly. We picked gooseberry, rasberrys, strawberries, blackcurrant and redcurrents. Both my son and I loved it. A fab little day out!

Went a couple of weeks back with my two-year-old and one-year-old to pick some strawberries. The picking experience was okay - not brilliant. Perhaps we arrived too early on in the season. The strawberries themselves were small and pretty tasteless, but given the inexpensive price to purchase, you can't complain. You get what you pay for. In truth, I think we were spoilt by what I would consider a much better overall experience, up the road in Tamworth, at Manor Farm Fruits. Much larger, juicier strawberries, available for picking at a reasonable height for kids and adults alike. They're on what I can only describe as "planters", so no need to bend or crouch. Not only that, there are tonnes of excellent quality strawberries to pick from. This does come at a significantly higher price compared to the cost of Scaddows' strawberries; however, that premium is justifiable - as is the extra fuel cost to get there. I had high hopes for Scaddows, but unfortunately, it failed to deliver, when compared to Manor Farm. If you want a fun morning out with the kids, you'll still have a good time at Scaddows - you just might not get as good a quality and range of strawberry to pick from, in comparison to Manor Farm.

We went pumpkin picking, the fields are big and there were lots of pumpkins to choose from. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were very friendly and willing to help. The shop is great with lots of choice of homemade food.

Hardly any produce in the shop, not enough strawberries available for the amount of people picking. We overheard another customer ask a member of staff a simple question and get a very sarcastic answer, younger staff members really pleasant

Great to pick your own fruit and inexpensive. You can pick your one strawberries, gooseberries, raspberries and blackberries. Strawberries are always delicious. The farm shop and cafe is lovely too. Staff are friendly. We go every year to pick our own strawberries.
Only thing that could be better is more outside seating as there is not enough at all for the cafe.

Lovely place, big area to pick strawberries, gooseberries and blackberries. Ample amount of parking (although off road).

They only accept cash at the PYO part of the farm so remember to take cash, it is reasonable priced.

There are some strawberries set up high so you don t have to bend down to pick them, however the majority are on the ground.

There is a little farm shop/cafe too for you to enjoy.

Fruit quality very bad, overgrown aisles and no buggy access... This was Mid August:
The had run out of fruit, but neglected to accept it and so let several groups expecting to be able to pick at least a punnet or two of raspberries (initially we came for strawberries but they had none due to bad weather during the start of the season, would have been nice to know before going via the website)... We came away with hardly any yeild alike everyone else, and they were very white mouldy, dry and bad quality ... Four of us picking and yet not even enough raspberries to fill the bottem on the punnet.
They should have been free/they should have said they were done for the season. We left and went elsewhere.

Very well laid out, and socially distanced. Good prices on fruit. Helpful and friendly staff, selling drinks, biscuits, crisps etc, as well as ready picked fruit. Would definitely recommend.
