El Sawy Culturewheel is one of the first private cultural centers in Egypt and is the most widespread and is a model for cultural entities in the post-cultural era. The center is located in Zamalek Island, Cairo.

Sakia Mohamed El Sawy was the son of the Egyptian writer Abdel Moneim El Sawy in 2005 and named the five-year-old Sakia, considered his father's most famous work. He began to think of creating a creative cultural center encompassing all kinds of arts and literature that attracts different layers of the public. The place was chosen under the 15th of May Bridge on 26th of July Street in front of Zamalek Central. It is accessible from the Balloon Theater by crossing the bridge and descending the stairway directly on the Sakia

Mohammed Al-Sawy designed the project and started building it and developing perceptions about the access methods developed by the center with the help of other colleagues. The center began to organize concerts to attract the audience as music and singing are the most widespread arts among the people, and it was a variety and different from the mainstream of music at the time, was the most prominent stars of these concerts jazz bands, gypsy music and rap and other cultures of different cultures from around the world.

Many other activities were then introduced to the center. And then began to provide poetry evenings through concerts and then presented separately in private evenings. Sakia recently organized a festival inspired by the idea of the Okaz poetry market under the name of "Okaz Poetry", in which poets from various governorates of Egypt participated and continued for three days.

The center presents theatrical, cinematic and musical artistic shows, and organizes plastic exhibitions, both for senior plastic artists or for youth. The wheel contains a library divided into four sections: a public library, a children's library, an electronic library and a music library. It contains sections for teaching the basic principles of many types of arts such as drawing. El Sakia hosts seminars and workshops in its halls, at the literary and scientific levels. In addition to presenting theater shows, the center organizes competitions in the theater field.

One of the best culture and music and art centers in Cairo.
One of the most important places where you find what you are looking for from music, arts and cultural events in addition to a beautiful cafe and a wonderful place on the banks of the Nile

A good place to study..

A good place to study..
Not a premium one.. But to some extend selective to college students which is a positive point in my opinion..
Some couple, families and friends go there..

It has an annual membership "about 150 LE"
Which is cost effective if you are planning to go there continuously, as the separate tickets equal to "20 LE" for each visit.

Once you entered you don't have to buy or order anything only if you want.

They also have concerts performed continuously to many amazing bands which have to be paid..

Sakia is a way for those need knowledge, fine amd entertaining concerts, cultural seminars.
Also it offers a good view on the river for studying and casual meetings, a good place for startups to show the products, it's really a good place to escape also smoking areas as it's a smoking free zone.

Nice place along the Nile bank. They do lots of concerts and happenings but I have been there in the afternoon, so we just sat there and had juices and crisps. It's a really quiet place where you can relax and rest a bit after walking around in zamalek. It's shaded, there's some breeze and the view on the river is pretty cool.

The great famous Cairo stage for all underground and not-anymore-so-underground music.

Suitable location, great stages, relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices.

For the Riverside stage, I would suggest investing in a surround sound system instead of the two speakers on the sides of the stage. It would boost the quality of sound a lot, especially with bands that play more electronic sounds.
