I love this place. So many things to do and watch. The staff are very helpful and kind too.

We like this place. They show a wide variety of performances from puppet shows to theater to films. There are also live concerts and lectures. This is a great place to hang out or work. Plus they allow small vendors to sell their arts and crafts here. There is a cafe and its next to the Nile, under the 26th July Bridge.

Suitable for artistic activities, singing and lectures

El Sawy Culture Wheel, is considered the first private cultural center in Egypt and the most widespread today and is a model for cultural entities in the post-governmental era. The center is located on Zamalek Island, Cairo
The Sakia Mohamed El Sawy, son of the Egyptian writer Abdel Moneim El Sawy, was established in 2005 and took the name from the Quintet of the Waterwheel, which is the most famous work of his father. He began thinking of creating a creative cultural center that would include all kinds of arts and literature, attracting different classes of the public. The place was chosen under the 15th of May Bridge on 26th of July Street in front of the Central Zamalek - and it can be accessed from in front of Al Baloun Theater by crossing the bridge and going down the stairs directly on the waterwheel

Muhammad Al-Sawy designed the project, started building it, and conceptualized the methods of access he had developed for the center with the help of other colleagues. The center started conducting concerts to attract the audience, considering that music and singing were the most widespread arts among the people, and it had a variety and difference from the prevailing music at the time, and among the most prominent stars of these concerts were jazz, gypsy music, rap groups and others displaying different cultures from around the world.

After that, many other activities were introduced to the center, so work of plastic exhibitions and sculptural works began. Then began presenting poetry evenings through concerts, and then presented them individually in special evenings. El Sakia recently organized a festival inspired by the idea of Okaz Poetry Market under the name "Okaz Poetry", in which poets from different governorates of Egypt participated, and it lasted for three days.

A very nice place, you can quickly feel like it's your second home. You can do pretty much everything in there, read, write, draw, play music, take or give classes, meet up with friends or co-workers, attend literature meetings, attend concerts for popular bands or even have a downtime for yourself in which you can sit and smell the fresh Nile breeze.

It is a very special cultural place which is playing an important role in gathering varial types of arts and creations to their audience.

The name El Sawy Culture Wheel has always been associated in my mind with culture, arts, performances and various events in various branches of culture. A suitable place to hold concerts and seminars on Abu Al-Feda Street next to the Zamalek theater

I used to like that place, but now? Extremely rude staff, every corner is dirty, a lot of rats & cockroachs where they cook for the cafeteria!!

It's amazing place to attend any festival or music classes also courses and have a very good view and have place to stay inside the Nile and it's so calmed also have a small market to buy coffee some foods and it's not expensive really i recommend this place for who want to stay a lone or woth his friends or love.

El Sawy Culture Wheel is one of private cultural center that you really can enjoy your good time with a quality ,and its considered one of the most important "private" cultural venues in Egypt.

The place offers live performances as well as few martial arts classes.

I visited this place many times. usually for seeing bands playing like Cairokee and Masar Egbary. last time I saw a stand up show too. it attracts a lot of art forms and the variety is amazing. Also there is a cool bazar there with cool handmade stuff and you can check the nile view which is also nice.
