When I had my daughter back in 2014 they were very unorganized and careless. I was suppose to have a regular birth. But instead they rushed into the birth I ended up have a emergency c-section. I will never have a child there again..

Highly recommend Sauk Prairie hospital for joint surgeries. Everyone was kind, caring, and very competent. It's not often you find a whole team that works so well together. I have nothing but praise for everyone from the person who serves the food to the surgeons.

All 5 of our kids were born here. The doctors and nurses were exceptional and very loving.

This our go to place when there is an emergency.

I grew up in North Carolina, and the wait for emergency treatment can get up to 8+ hours.

Sauk is normally ultra fast. I like the way they do their best to get you in and out or get you in and cared for which ever is the best option.

Sauk Prairie Healthcare is the best facility I have ever stayed in after my joint replacement. From the Surgeon, CRNA to the Nursing staff, Dietary, PT, Social Services, Lab and Housekeeping. It is no wonder it is a "top notch" Healthcare facility.
Thank you for caring. Your professionalism and knowledge did not go unnoticed. I appreciate all you have done for me.

After seeing some negative reviews I wanted to give my positive thoughts on this hospital. I went to the ER 28 week pregnant and in a ton of pain. This was taken seriously upon arrival and it was discovered I needed gallbladder surgery. They consulted two surgeons and my OB. I was treated and stayed in the birthing center for about a week. I felt as if my baby s safety was taken very seriously. 4 weeks later I was back in the ER (they wanted to put off surgery due to the risk of premature labor/delivery, which we greatly appreciated). When I entered the ER the second time my ER Dr. remembered me and my case. I was taken care of and my situation was explained very well. I was ultimately transferred to Unity Point in Madison for the surgery because Saul Prairie doesn t have a NICU. Again my unborn son s safety was priority #1 and that s what we wanted. I made it through surgery and was able to deliver my son at 39 weeks 3 days in Sauk Prairie hospital. My nurse Tabitha (who I had when I was hospitalized at 28 weeks as well) is such an amazing human. I still think of her often and my son is almost 2yrs old. I wish I could see her again and give her the biggest hug. Dr. Schad is absolutely amazing and I d recommend him to anyone. We also loved our son s pediatrician Dr. Vogt. I don t have a negative thing to say about any of my experiences here. Thank you for keeping me and my Son alive, safe, and healthy. We drove past two other hospitals every single time we came here. We wanted nothing, but the best for our family and we really feel this was the best hospital for us.

I would strongly advising avoiding the use of this facility at all costs. In the Fall of 2020 I was feeling quite ill and all signs pointed to strep throat, so I decided to get tested @ Sauk Prairie Healthcare.

My initial bill was north of $1000.00 - for a strep test. The individual billing lines were ridiculous. For example, my Physician charge was over $500. I had a PA come in with advice to rest and drink water (no longer than 90 seconds worth of time).

After many discussions and months of working with their staff, they reduced the bill by a fraction of the original cost. I ended up paying around $700.

The cost of a rapid strep test at Walgreens is valued @ $17. Based on information found from a few sources online - the cost of running a culture is no more than $7-10.

If we round that up to $30 - the cost is around 33x of their bill. Understandably they need to make a profit and pay for overhead, but this is way out of line.

Per capita Income of a resident in Sauk county is $30,990 based of the U.S. Census. That would be over 3% of a total annual income spent on a single strep throat test.

The facility and staff on site are nice, but the value of service makes this a 1-star review - if that.
