Welcome to the Saugatuck Center for the Arts, a premier destination for arts and culture in Michigan. With a rich history spanning over two decades, the SCA has established itself as a hub of creativity and innovation, offering a diverse range of programs and events that cater to all ages and interests.
Founded in 1999, the Saugatuck Center for the Arts has been dedicated to promoting artistic excellence through education, performance, and exhibition. Over the years, it has become an integral part of the local community, attracting visitors from across Michigan and beyond.
The SCA's 20th season is a testament to its commitment to providing exceptional cultural experiences. This year-long celebration features an exciting lineup of events that showcase some of the best talent in music, theater, dance, visual arts, film-making and more.
One of the highlights of this season is "Art on Tap," an annual fundraiser that brings together art lovers from all over West Michigan. This event features live music performances by local artists along with craft beer tastings from some of Michigan's finest breweries.
Another must-see event is "Broadway at The Center," which brings Broadway stars to Saugatuck for unforgettable performances. Past performers have included Tony Award winners such as Sutton Foster and Kelli O'Hara.
In addition to these signature events, there are also numerous educational programs offered throughout the year at SCA. These include workshops on painting techniques or acting skills as well as classes on digital media production or creative writing.
The Saugatuck Center for Arts also houses two galleries: The Corridor Gallery which showcases emerging artists' work; while The Studio Gallery displays works by established artists who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.
Moreover,the center offers rental spaces suitable for weddings,receptions,business meetings,and other special occasions.The facility can accommodate up-to 400 guests with state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment available upon request
