Fairly disappointed. Many of the displays are over 15 years old and I would say 25% of the displays do not work. The body exhibit was cool though

Fun science center with many interactive displays including home building, farming, plants and animals, hockey, human body, bubbles, space, and more. Multiple daily presentations such as space, static, etc. Some displays could use some upkeep, as they have obviously been well used.
Lunch and coat rooms, gift shop, decent number of benches and places to sit as kids play. No restaurant on site, so plan ahead for food. Outdoor playground, and a several structures inside to climb.
Great outing for the kiddos! They never seem to get bored here. I like taking the kids here in the winter as well because there's really not that many places to take them. Just so many memories here to count.
The Saskatchewan Science Centre is an incredible adventure for the young and not so young. You will be entertained and learn all the science that you were afraid to learn in school.
Kids very much enjoyed it. Lots to see and interact with.
I like the Science Center
Gredin friess
Bro, do it. It's a willy wonka house of science and technology. Absolutely brilliant experience and a great way to make learning, and the world, more interesting. I'd say it's a must see in this city.
It aint no Telus world of science but we sure got our money's worth. Interactive exhibits and a great educational place to take your family.
Great place for younger kids. We take our toddler here all the time. Highly recommend the annual membership to save some money on frequent visits.
Tons of great things to see and do. Went here with my niece and nephew years ago and checked out a lego exhibit as well as just going with friends to check it all out. Now, I have kids of my own and will be bringing them here when we travel back to Regina.
This place was one of my favorites. From when I was a kid to an adult taking my little cousins there. Unfortunately the exhibits have aged drastically and several of them do not work. The events they have on display are amazing though when they come! And the shows they put on are always amazing especially for the kids! The place just needs some needed updating.
Great place to bring the kids when visitinf the city. Lots to do to keep the kids entertained. But as an adult you notice quite a bit of the exhibits dont work. Could use some maintenace. But still fun and educational.
Seemed ok, hopefully the other 2 floors will open soon.
It s definitely a nice place to visit. Daytime activities at this place are more children oriented and are a lot of fun for them. If you are an adult however, it s nice to walk around and see, but not a lot to do, an hour will probably do it for you. That being said, they offer movies later at night and have some programs available for adults, unfortunately, I didn t get to check it out yet. The prices are a little bit on the expensive side to my opinion, but the staff is helpful and kind and the place is clean and easy to get around. All and all it s a nice experience that s worth your time and money if you re looking for something to do in Regina.
Loved it!! So many fun and interactive things to do. I highly recommend this place for both young and old.
It is alright but getting run down. Lots of things didn t work. Definitely not worth the money. Wish we spent our money elsewhere.
The Saskatchewan Science Center is a pretty fun place and I think kids will always have a good time here. I took my 9 and 6 year olds and they had a blast.
That being said, from an adults perspective, the center is starting to get stale and dated, there are less and less displays and features every year and the cost is too high.
By comparison the Royal Saskatchewan Museum has admission as a voluntary donation, is better maintained and has better exhibits.
Everything is old and broken! More than half the exhibits don't work. Really a sad excuse for a science center, especially when you travel a ways to come. I
I remember going here for the first time when I was in grade 5. I love it. The IMAX part I first visited when Avatar was playing. It's now my favourite movie. When Avatar 2 comes out, I'm
watching it there!!
It was a pretty good spot, line was a little long when I visited. But overall I would recommend.
BIRTHDAY PARTY REVIEW
Took my 5 year old son there for a safaris themed party. The term party is used VERY loosely, it was basically a hour and half school lesson. Really boring. First get there and host had a white smock that kids could colour on for birthday kid, this smock was big enough to fit me let alone my 40lb child. We threw that in the garbage when we got home. Then all kids were asked to sit at a table when host began showing them different animal skulls and their teeth, the kids were asked various questions that were to advanced for them. After that the host brought out a few animals for the kids to look and and touch if they wanted, host explained things about animal as kids were asked to keep seated and not talk. after this host started making ice cream and used liquid nitrogen to freeze it, she wouldn t let my son (birthday boy) help with anything, even after he asked. I understand he can t help with liquid nitrogen but all he asked was to put the sugar in. After that we had cake and presents then kids were sent home. They literally didn t get up once from their chairs the entire time. Kids had admission to the centre after the party but 0 parents took advantage of that.
Pros
They supplied everything
Cons
Long time for kids to sit
No games
No science centre experience
Expensive
This place is great! Mainly if you have kids because the things are designed to growth the curiosity of kids and learn more about many areas: Biology, geology, physics, mathematics, etc. Is an obligate place to visit during your time in Regina!
Great place, awesome for kids with two floors of activities, shows and an IMAX,
The only issue is that some exhibits, having been overused, need some TLC.
Superb place for young kids. Can learn a lot while having a fun. Staff is very friendly. But there is no map or guide to follow inside. 4 floors with exhibits. Admission is free for under 3 years old kids. $10 for seniors and $15 for general tickets.
The feature exhibit was pretty weak, aimed at selfie lovers... BUT most of the galleries were great! Easily spent 3 hours here and could have spent longer. A few things were out of order, but not a big deal with so much going on. Loved the bubble area, the agriculture area and seeing random animals around like the owl and the turtle. Didn t go to an imax but that was a plus too! Parking was easy, close and free!
Great place to take the kiddo's to burn off some steam and also engage their minds! The annual family membership is a great deal and doesn't take long to get your money's worth out of it!!
this is a great place to visit with your kids. hope they open up again soon.
I like the outdoor Ukrainian playground more than the indoor joylabs. Joylabs is totally different from what we imagined before we go, not much to do and enjoy. I don't think we will comeback here in future. Not recommended.
Great place for the kids!! Lots of parking in a beautiful area of Regina. Good service. Body Worlds RX, very interesting.
My kids (and I) love this place. A great place to stretch the imagination and learn. There is an imax here as well which screens both imax movies/documentaries as well as movies such as Star Wars 7 which were filled with imax.
The exhibits and condition of the building has seen better days.
Not worth going during covid. Even to the joy lab. Should be cheaper.
Very cool place for basic scientific adventure s, we had lots of fun there
Lack of parking is a problem here, but could be resolved with additional visitor spots by the main entrance. Lots of cars were circling looking for a spot during normal operating hours.
Been going here since i was a kid and even as an adult me and my friends love going to the science center its always nice checking in every couple of yesrs or so to see whats changed.
Awesome lots of cool stuffs you should also go there I recommend it
Outside is a science based playground sponsored by the Anniversary of Ukrainians coming to Saskatchewan. It's fantastic with many cross country ski trails to blaze down as well.
Each time we visited there were new things to learn about.as well as stuff that is a constant..love it
Needs AC couldnt pay attention there cause it was so hot.
Interesting and fun! Great for any age. Interactive exhibits
Outstanding place to learn and play. Great for kids, whole family event. Clean and well maintained.
Body exhibit is great for adults. The rest of the center is geared for kids
Good place to take kids. But it really is just for kids. An education playground. If you have little ones, it's great for that purpose.
Great for kids up to 12 or so. Not much for adults but it's great to see the kids having fun.
We were here 2 years ago and the sound didn't work in the tractor and the gyroscope wasn't working. Same experience today. Wish you would put some time and effort into keeping the things operational. Great place to bring children but would be nicer if kept operational.
We were in the city for the Hypothermic Half-Marathon and decided to visit the centre with our 2 year old.
As adults, there was plenty of interesting things to look at and learn, and our toddler was also engaged at every section.
Our favorite sections were the oTentik, hockey and the farm! Wonderful afternoon of discovery and learning!
Quite small but an amazing place spend the day exploring and let the little ones discover the marvels of science.
Very good place to take the kids and it's on an historic spot.
This place is really fun. I can tell this place is old because they still have there CRTs. Now that's how you know that the place is old.
Fascinating place for bringing 4 to 12 year olds. Seemed very hot in the building.
Body works exhibit is great. But the science center part is outdated, not updated in many years. Many exhibits don't work or were not being maintained to work properly (eg soap bubbles, hamster wheel to generate power, etc.
This is a great place for kids to learn basic science, as well as some advanced science. However, on my visit this summer (July 2019), about 15% of items where out-of-order/not-fully-functional, either broken, or missing pieces.
If you're planning to go there, make sure to check their opening hours before visiting the place. They also have some shows through the day, so check the schedule of the shows as well. Also, be prepared to stay long; we spend 5.5 hours in the place the first time we went there! In July and August 2019, they have a exhibit called JoyLab! Don't miss it, it's gorgeous, and would definitely cheer you up!
Today my family and I went to the science centre and I have to say it was a major let down when you walk in and there is a handful of " photo booth" areas, 1 turtle in a pink paddle pool, a place with bubbles and iPad's that control balls! It literally took 20 min to get through and most of that time was standing on the social distancing stickers waiting to get to the next photo place which also required wearing a mask so our vacation photos are poop We also felt very rushed to get through it and it for sure was not worth the admission.
Lots for the kids to do, some displays need a bit of repair, not operational. Body World exhibition impressive.
The place is getting run down and could use some renovations on the exhibits as I noticed it s getting quite filthy and things are breaking. The staff greeted us with happy smiles and had a marvellous attitude. The parking lot is small though but the playground is great too
Great place for kids to learn and have fun. Lots of new exhibits since I was a kid and they are renovating more old areas now
Price would be more reasonable if you weren't paying admission for dust and filth. Don't get me wrong, I love the nostalgia of this place. Have gone many times over the years since back with elementary school trips. But now that I am a parent, comparing the cost with what is has to offer lately doesn't make me want to come back any time soon. For one, Why bother having a live animal room anymore?
Interactive exhibits need more maintenance so that the vibe isn't one screaming "you and your kids may get sick from touching this" Overall it's a better memory than reality- really hoping some TLC gets put into this place so it's brought back to its former glory.
One of the best destinations with repeatable value in Regina. Great for the whole family.
It was good but a lot of the buttons didn't work on certain exhibits
Wish was all open for the price paid for 15 min of ten ppl could of been better
I've been coming here for 30+ years and the past decade I feel they have really stepped it up. While they keep some of the same awesome staples, they are always changing activities and have live demos so I still find it interesting and fun! If you haven't been check out adult science night, it is a perfect date night.
It is disappointing when we visit Science Center to find many of the Exhibits are not working or balls are missing, etc. Very disheartening and we are Members. Expect bettter.
Too bad. I like the place but im here with a baby and washroom smells cant even go inside. Have family visiting from Vancouver and they say they are not impressed. Half the exhibits dont work.
I really enjoyed visiting this science centre with my daughter. We had a lot of fun
It was ok but the hype on website promised more than they delivered.
My son and I made the best of it all despite quite a few of the displays not working.
Spent a weekend sleeping at the science centre when I was younger. Now that I am an adult, I still go to enjoy science centres! Every child should have an opportunity to experience science and experiments in a fun atmosphere.
I m torn on rating the science center. On one hand, there were a handful of exhibits that full engaged my children. These were the ball/grain loading combine exhibit, the construction house and the little indoor playground. These are all newer additions. However, the rest of the center seems out of date with old and worn down activities that were around when I was a young child, a large percentage of the exhibits are at least 20 years old. There is nothing enticing enough to encourage a return visit for at least another 5-10 years.
Nice place to go with kids. My kids enjoyed this place.
