Beautiful.... Work going on so cannot enjoy the whole place
Must see and be in Istanbul. This place is so beautiful, with lot of history.
Hagia Sophia Museum is one of the famous place in Istanbul. It was the cathedral and Mosque now it's a museum. The architecture is amazing. Ticket for this museum is 60 Turkish lira. Must visit place in Istanbul and usually place is crowded and lot of people visit it everyday. You must consider visiting this place on ur trip to Istanbul.
A very beautiful place to visit in Istanbul where you can see the mixture of religions.
I wish there was better descriptions of the things but it was nice
It really should only be visited off season, when you don't have swarms of people ruining the experience.
The culture and history of this place is spell binding, the stories even more so. Take a guided tour, you will learn half stories of the Muslim heritage and the other half of the Christian heritage. The place is right next to the Blue mosque and has a great multi cutural vibe to it. Not too long queues to get in. Short visit, 1.5 hours are enough. Try the Ottomon ice cream place just outside the exit after your trip ;)
One of the greatest monuments of orthodox christianity impressive and unique.
what else can be said about this place? is just great and have to visit! I loved it!!
I had to stand in a queue for about 40 minutes to get inside. I liked it - the place is impressive. I was not sure though it's worth it for me personally afterwards. I prefer walking and observing outside architecture, browsing streets, looking around as I walk. Getting into a church for some calm and cool. Queuing somehow kills this spontaneity flow mood.
Great angle for taking photo from the window of Aja Sofiya,Sultan Ahmet Mosque!
This photo is fullfiled with the Blue Mosque at the back!
Hagia Sophia is truly one of the wonders of human architecture.
Great place but you need to be there in the early morning avoid friday due to the pray time touirest are not allowed to enter during this time
Very historical mosque; everyone who come to istanbul should visit.
At the meeting point of history, culture , and continents. A must visit
The most stunning Holly architectural design in the world. It's absolutely epic.
The Haigia Sophia is the centerpiece of modern Istanbul tourism, the most frequently visited site in the city and the most prominent religious landmark of two historical civilizations that have changed the cultural, political and religious landscape of this region. An addition to being an architectural monument, this structure is the standing embodiment of imperial conquests and religious transformations. A must visit for every visitor to Istanbul and the old city of Constantinople.
Must see when in Istanbul. Takes about 2hrs and really amazing history and art and architecture to see.
A place to be seen absolutely, not only for it's beauty and the longevity of its historical importance. It's a maust-see also because it shows that no matter how many things humanity can do wrong, it will also do many things sublimely well. Hagia Sophia survived catastrophes and disasters with and dignity and rectitude that probably outdoes even the wildest dreams and exepecations its designers and builders have placed into it. But it is the mirror of human dignity and greatness itself. Looking at it, being inside of it restores your faith in humanity. In it's greatness and inspiration. Go visit it. You will be happy to have eyes in your head and a soul in your body.
A nice museum, though you absolutely NEED to get either a guide or the audio guide. We did the latter and appreciated being able to wander at our own pace
Beautiful architectures! A lot more to experience around the place.
Old important East Roman Church turned into a mosque, now a museum. You will see how Jesus paintings next Islamic Caligraphy, the best place to see how Christian and Muslim civilizations fought in the past, and coexisting today.
Some areas closed for restoration. Otherwise loved it
Beautiful place for a walk around. Allocate 2 hours here when planning. Come early to avoid Long queues.
A must for everyone to see while in Istanbul. It is massive. I hope is stays as a public museum for all to see. A feast for the senses.
Big and magnificent, a must to visit during your stay in Istanbul
Wow experience! Just go there and visit it. Fell in love with it.
Ancient building, reminds the great historical architectural capabilities of the ancient times ....
Lovely place, but construction is not over, so it doesn't give you whole vibe of this place
Amazing place - setting - and architecture - close to the Blue Mosque.
Visit it in the mornings. The direction of the sun is ideal for photos.
Spend some time to look for the mark left by the Vikings (Google it!)
Stunning piece of architecture, great decorations from Bizantine and Ottoman period, religion feels in the air, one of the most spiritual places in the world. Amazing museum; must visit if you're tourist in Istanbul.
I walked for 4 hours and that still wasn't enough, I will be going back for sure. Its a must see it is rich in history, art and different religions.
It was the best place in istanbul to visit the mixture of Mosque and Church
An ancient place that you must visit when in Istanbul!
Tip: much easier to buy the access tickets by card. Cash line was huge!
Impressive, majestic, full of history and legends, Hagia Sophia it's a lovely place to see.
Entrance fee: 72TL
A 1700 years old building, a monument of the triumph of Islam and the Ottomans. So much history in one place
Good place but already closed in the evening. Only sight seeing from outside.
Beautiful historical place, unfortunately it seems they are working on some constructions and renovations on every second corner every time.
Great place full of history....superb example of religious harmony
Amazing, but too many construction and not worth it with an entrance fee
Cool place to see. Tons to discover in here. Don't just stay in the main floor. Go upstairs as well.
The museum is truly an architect of wonder. It is really sad to see it's in the current poor states. Hope Turkish government and the world could invest more in restoring it to its former glory.
Beautiful place. Sad to know that ataturk made this place from a mosque to a museum.
Amazing building, peace and tranquil inside during prayer times...beautiful architecture
Another master piece, use to be church and then converted to mosque. Now it is being changed to museum. When I visited about a month ago it was under renovation.
Overwhelmed by the perhaps the oldest surviving building of the world. Standing intact more than 1500 years since Byzantine era. Very well maintained museum.
Was a Greek Orthodox church that was turned into a Mosque and now its a museum! An iconic landmark that must be visited in Istanbul! Tickets prices are reasonable. Two religions under one roof. I had this place on my bucket list and I'm so happy I got to visit it.
Interesting place to visit. Lot of historical information. Expensive to purchase the fast track ticket.
Love it, good thing to remind us Muslim and Christan are one.
Loved the place .. both historical story and art of Christianity and Islam r gathered in one place .. also you can take a picture in every inch of that place
Being in stanbul and not visiting such a place is a big mistake :)
Very beautiful and impressive place, it touches your heart and mind... Must visit
One of the best places you can visit in Turkey, being able to have prayed in this place is really spiritual.
As immense as I imagined. Lots of building work when I visited, but still lots to see.
It was a altogether a great visit and very interesting.
A very beautiful mosque but also very crowded, I still enjoyed though the visit of the famous mosque.
Amazing place unbelievable when you're there you can feel the energy is different its like you're walking in kings landing in game of thrones very beautiful ancient place that I recommend anybody to see once in there life just WOW!!!
Love the grandeur of Hagia Sophia! I could feel the history the moment I stepped into it. It is definitely a symbol of peace.
all in one: mosque, church and museum. quite and peaceful.
It was an important museum in the past, now it is just a mosque. Nothing left...
