My family and I loved the pier!
Even though it was a little windy and brisk, we had a great time. Loved the sunset view from here. Only down side of the visit was that only in-state visitors were allowed in the rides, so we'll just have to comeback again another time. We enjoyed a day on the beach by the pier as well, it was pretty clean and public parking lots near by and if you don't have chairs or an umbrella, you can rent some here.
What can I say.... it's the Santa Monica Pier! Totally worth visiting. Crowded one week after California opened up for 25% indoor dining. The park overlooking the Pier was also beautiful with shade, food and public bathrooms.
Crazy packed but its a cool place to go if you re in the area. Crowded though. Traffic will be wild.
My 3ed time in Santa Monica! I love it! It gets crowded and full of nice vibes, a great sunset view in the summertime!

Very beautiful. Even though all the attractions aren't open, its very nice. Loved seeing the fisherman catch lobster off the pier.
Very nostalgic. Lots of fun to be had. Masks are a must right now for most venues. That said most people didn't have them. Overall a great day out for a family.
It was a really fun place to go and walk around. The rides were small but still really fun and there were good food options! I really enjoyed my time here and will definitely be coming back next time I'm in town!
Even during COVID the pier was magnificent and nothing was taken away from the nice sun rays and fresh ocean breeze. A wonderful trip to take close friends and family and very easy on the wallet. Especially if you're just sight seeing and taking pictures.

It s a wonderful place for a quick getaway, great place for a friends and family day out, walk by the beach, quick lunch break, anything!
Lots of food trucks, gift shops, restaurants, the view is fantastic, not many tourists due to Covid-19, but usually it gets super crowded, especially weekends.
They also have the Ferris wheel!
It you re ok with large crowds and touristy vibes I recommend you check this place out. There s really not much to do because their amusement park seems to be at half capacity because of covid so the line to get into the park was really long and not worth waiting for. The pier Is really dirty because people just really don t care and it s honestly a little sad. Lot of fun personalities and a great place to people watch. Definitely not a good place to bring your dog or really small children. I love the amount of food vendors that line up along the pier. So definitely come hungry and ready for some snacking. Overall it s a fun environment.
