When I arrived at the hotel with my wife I was very well received and well installed in my hotel room. I found the structure of the fantastic place, the beach, the pool, the restaurant, the hotel and the room. The service overall was good, apart from a fact that happened during our stay.
I rented a Smart Electric from Hertz rental at the airport, as electric car is not something I'm used to, they reassured me that recharging was a simple thing and the only problem was that it took a whole night to charge but that Hotel Santa Marina had a "Super Charger" in which it fully charged the battery in 2 hours. Okay, he may have given the "super charger" information without being sure. The first night when I arrived with a car I asked the valets to load, they said they would do it without problems. The next day I woke up and when I went to get the car I realized it had not been loaded, I thought the staff could be forgotten and spent the day on the street with the car using it normally. when i came back to the hotel the second night i requested the same thing to be charged for me to go out the other day. what was my surprise when I woke up? The boy brought the car and reported that I had not asked his colleague to load the car. As I had a reservation time and the car still had a little battery, I did not discuss and leave with the car, when I returned at the end of the day I delivered the car with practically zero battery, and explained to all valets that I needed that the car would be charged for at least 2 or 3 hours as I would go out to dinner in the city. The staff said OK. What was my surprise when I went to get the car? I had not put the car to load anything, absolutely NOTHING. I got stressed, my wife got stressed and we asked to call the manager. There came a lady who I don't remember the name explaining to me that the car could not be loaded because it didn't have a part that was needed, but I showed that the part was in the trunk and was simply put in ANY simple plug to load. The gerete treated me badly like I was wrong. Even if I needed a special piece, a Hotel so luxurious, so reputable and as expensive as SANTA MARINA should at least put itself in the mood to try to solve my problem or at least give me an explanation of why it can't help me, and do not let it time for me to go out and see that the car was out of battery. Summary I was the last two days without a car and time to leave when I went to the front desk to call the store to help me with the car removal the employee told me that they did not want to come and again showed no effort trying to me to help. When I arrived at the airport I went to Hertz to try an explanation and see if a special piece was really needed to carry, the clerk said it was not necessary and was outraged as the Hotel may have refused to load my car. I asked her to show me an electric car as it was carried, she promptly drove me in a similar car and showed in a simple outlet inside the airport that the car could be charged in any outlet !!! THE HOTEL SIMPLY REFUSED TO LOAD A GUEST'S CAR. I leave this report here with great sadness because it hindered my trip and never spread it from a Hotel like Santa Marina. Especially my deepest disappointment with such a woman manager I don't remember the name, who has no preparation for how to treat guests of a luxury hotel.

I disagree with the review below - I didn't feel like I needed to come off of a yacht to get great service and feel terrific. This was one of the best hotel stays I have had. It is considered the best hotel on the island, and now that I've stayed there, I see why. The service is unparalleled and the property is impeccable. It could easily be a 4 Seasons. The private beach is nicer and more enjoyable than the other beaches on the island. Beach chairs are always available, no need to race down at 11am and hold spots.

Jumping off their pier into the deep water and swimming out to sea there is magical. Not to be missed. The rooms are spacious and beautiful and the property is laid out in a way that makes it still feel boutique. The vibe is just right. The food is great.

Special shout out to Maria Sellina and her entire guest relations team + the concierge team. They were very helpful with bookings, planning, etc. They even can help you get to the nearby beach clubs (Nammos, Scorpios) by boat directly from the beach at the hotel. Even the nicest hotels are nothing without the matching service - if it weren't for Maria and her team the hotel wouldn't have the reputation it has.

I didn't eat at Budha Bar but I hear it's good.

I don't think I could go back to Mykonos and stay anywhere else.

I have been to this property pre and post st Regis. Post twice. Sadly, it currently caters primarily to the yacht crowd. They allow yacht parking to completely obstruct the view from the beach. The yachts also tend to have large groups of people who take a lot of the beach seating and if you leave your seat unattended you will return with their bags on your chairs. The St Regis allows this to happen so I can t fully blame the yacht crowd. Also note that smoking everywhere which makes it difficult to find smoke free seating for dinner or at the beach. Service overall is spotty (there are a few great servers)- however, after being there for 5 days and seeing the same staff repeatedly they never recalled our names. I was told to call for a private car pick up from town - the phone rang 23 times. Lastly, I sent 7 emails and my travel agent sent two to get anyone to answer a simple question. The potential to return to greatness exists but they need to put hotel guests first (and yes the yachts supposedly pay to block the views) because the vibe and brand seem to be slipping. And do not have a budget because a salad will cost you 30.00US and any drink will have ice pouring out of the top with about 1/4 of the glass actually liquid.

DO NOT RISK BOOKING THIS HOTEL. My fiance and I were scheduled to visit in early June 2020 and booked a fully refundable rate. We unfortunately had to cancel our stay due to everything going on in the current environment. The hotel is not providing a refund to us, but is instead insisting they can only offer a voucher. This is not laid out anywhere in their terms and conditions!! This is criminal and the hotel is being unresponsive to us since we pointed out the clear cancellation policy. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THE HOTEL IS STILL OFFERING A REFUNDABLE RATE ON THEIR WEBSITE. Do not book this hotel, it is a trap and they will keep your money.

We highly recommend Santa Marina Resort in Mykonos...

We highly recommend Santa Marina Resort in Mykonos for your stay!

We were picked up at the port by the hotel shuttle, with no extra charge! The driver was very kind and helped us with our luggages! Upon arrival at the resort, the hotel staff helped us again with the luggages and brought them to our room!

They also have a shuttle to Mykonos town around 4 times a day, with no extra charge, which is very important!

The breakfast area, the pool & spa area and the Buddha bar Restaurant is nothing like we have ever seen. It was so dreamy! We are greeted with friendly smiles!

The breakfast was delicious! And the dinners we had at Buddha Restaurant! So many food options!

We had fresh towles twice a day! Our room smelled so nice and fresh but so did the entire hotel! Our trash cans were always emptied, beds were made daily!

The hotel staff is the best out of all the resorts we have ever stayed! They pay attention to the smallest details! The hotel is beyond spectacular! We would gladly stay at this hotel again next time we visit Mykonos. Thank you to the Santa Marina staff for exceeding our expectations!

Gated luxury resort property with private beach a ...

Gated luxury resort property with private beach a few minutes walk from the coastal village of Ornos. Main building is partway up a hill and has the lobby, a bar and some rooms and suites. Other suites and villas are on the hillside above the main building. 2 restaurants, other bars, two pools and the private beach are at various levels below the main building. Customer service is extraordinary throughout all areas of the hotel the staff are very well trained. I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite in the main building with a huge balcony overlooking the pool and beach. The room was excellent in all respects including a large shower, double sinks, separate toilet area, very comfortable king bed and separate sitting area. Wonderful buffet breakfast in the Colonial Restaurant with eggs cooked to order and extraordinary service. Outstanding food and wine options in the Buddha Bar Restaurant also featuring extraordinary service. Free shuttle service to the town of Mykonos, 10 minutes drive away, for other shopping and dining options. Definitely the best luxury hotel option in Mykonos that avoids the crowds and noise of the city itself.

This is clearly a hot spot for the rich and famous. However, if you are not lucky enough to be both, I would go elsewhere. While the hotel is beautiful, and the staff generally helpful, if you are not coming off a 200 foot yacht, you might as well be from Mars. It s hard to compete for attention with 500 Euro tips. I learned this the hard way when I lost a game of biggest tip gets the only available taxi with the valets out front of the hotel and almost missed our dinner reservation. Nice place, but there has to be a better fit for us regular people.

Amazing hotel, in particular beach and pool. Employees are very helpful and supportive, concierge service is great, although it would be nice if hotel would be more honest in promoting local taxis that are much cheaper then the overpriced "private transfers" they try to sell you.

We were in room 183 with amazing sea views, the room was very spacious and the view from the bed was unbelievable.

Food is excellent, breakfast is very nice and also special wishes are included in the price (try their egg benedict).

Pricey, but worth the money

DO NOT BOOK DURING COVID-19!!!

DO NOT BOOK DURING COVID-19!!!
This hotel requires a pre-payment with booking, unfortunately I booked this hotel for a trip in May before the pandemic and they refuse to give me a refund. Even after I tried to re-book in September only to have to cancel again due to United States travel restrictions. All I got was a voucher to use within the next 18 months, and lucky me, if I don't use the voucher I get my $1,500 back in February of 2022!!! This is not a Marriott hotel, I have called Marriott several times and they said they are not affiliated with this hotel and there is nothing they can do to help me get my money back. Because I have been treated so poorly before I even stepped foot on the property, I will not be re-booking for when I try to take my Mykonos trip in 2021. Don't make the same mistake as me, there are many other lovely hotels that do not require a deposit. You will hear from me in 2022 when I call to get my money back!!

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! We reserved two suites at this hotel for a three day stay in September of last year and we were forced to pre-pay thousands of dollars up front. Upon the onset of the pandemic we were forced to cancel our reservations as the Greek government and the EU in general would not allow us to travel there. Our attempts to get reimbursed were refused and we were told that our pre-paid funds would be "held" for 18 months and that we could re-book in that time frame. We recently decided to re-book our trip for next September 2021 and were told that we had "forfeited" our pre-paid funds because we canceled!! UNBELIEVABLE!! We were not allowed into the country yet they claim because we canceled we are out of luck. This is completely unacceptable and is in fact theft. The fact that this is a Marriott Luxury Collection property and that we are Marriott Ambassador level clients makes this scenario even more mind boggling. It is apparent that the hotel is attempting to recoup there pandemic related financial losses at their customers expense. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!

Service was so disappointing for a luxury collection hotel. While it is a beautiful resort, we ended up being more frustrated than happy with our stay here. The transportation services that were scheduled for pick ups were either late or did not show up as promised and required multiple calls to the front desk before anything was resolved. On one occasion, two girls in our party were stranded in Mykonos Town expecting to be picked up by a reserved transportation service. When the front desk was called after they did not show up, the concierge suggested they figure it out and offered no solutions despite it being their error. Either more staff needs to be hired or management needs to be replaced. Would not recommend a hotel that costs this much for such poor service.

Fantastic hotel with exceptional service. All hotel staff that served us were well trained and accommodating. I booked the lowest category and our room still had a nice sea view. The infinity pool is awesome and the private hotel beach (the only one in Mykonos) is spacious and picturesque. The breakfast is stunning; only little negative thing is that I thought the food in the Buddha Bar was overpriced, but I guess that is to be expected in a go-to fancy place like that. There are indeed some yachts coming in, but I did not perceive any of the guests being more pretentious than in other hotels in this category. Overall we had an amazing stay and would always come back.

Spectacular Location excellent service, the rooms spacious and tastefully decorated, impeccable cleanliness and restaurants with different menus with top quality, always with great service. It is a little bit far from the center but considering that it is the area of Mykonos more sheltered from the wind it is worth traveling perhaps one / two km more, but fully enjoying the days on the beach or on the infinity pool which is also spectacular
