The fact that the santa clara police deportment has treated to stop providing protection to the many people who attend the 49ers games because their feelings have been hurt, is absurd! Police officers would rather protect convicted rapist (And yes I'm taking about Stanford rapist Brock Turner) than protect a law abiding citizen who has chosen to express his right in order to bring awareness to police brutality towards minorities. I don't even like the 49ers but can truly respect Kaepernick.

the woman there was nice enough, but they charge $13 for signing for a correction on a ticket if you're not a resident of santa clara. I'm right down the street, but it doesn't matter--they charge $13 for 1 minute of their time to read over the ticket and sign the paperwork, even though my damn state tax money is paying their salary. that's a load of bullshit!

They put you on hold forever and are so rude when they pick up the phone

I am from an insurance company, and the records person you have there answering the phones, NEEDS to find another job. One of the RUDEST people I have ever talked to.

Called in to report a hit and run. The dispatcher said police would arrive shortly, waited an hour, nothing, called back and tried to document incident for insurance purposes and was told that police had arrived and tried to contact us 20 minutes ago and there's was nothing else we could do other than wait again, bs since I was standing outside for an hour and watch 5 police vehicle drive by us. Thanks for nothing.

The Santa Clara police had an opportunity for community engagement but chose instead to vilify a Black man for exercising freedom of expression. Clearly you are part of the problem. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Your town won't be seeing a dime of my money.

I've had my phone taken from this facility when I was first booked. I've reach my sentencing over 2 months ago and I STILL have NOT received my phone back. Countless calls to the detective assigned my phone for the case - countless calls to the property department and they have done nothing to help. Detective Nikolai was the one assigned and I have left him over 7 messages and have given over 20+ calls throughout the span of 4 months and he I havnt spoken to him once. Makes you wonder .... These "detectives" might be dodging something here... Something like utilizing evidence phones as gifts for their girlfriends or families. Which is against the law.

I would like to share this info. It is a shame that driving while black happened in Santa Clara. I was pulling out of the property at which I have a storage unit and allowed a police officer to pass. He then pulls over to allow me to past by. I stopped to get gas when shortly he drives up with an excuse saying the reason he was checking my plates because there have been some theft or some kind of crime in that storage.(False) He then say that then my plates did not match the description of the vehicle.(Again, False.) I suggest please report this kind of behaviour. It is not acceptable and it must stop. To make it worse, he did not have the pride to say he was wrong. You tell me, was that racial profiling or not?

It is not the PD's responsibility to provide security for a privately owned team on private property. The OT is VOLUNTARY. If there are no volunteers then it looks like the privately owned team needs to pay for some private security to handle their event on private property. I LOVE IT. All of you complaining expect way too much from others and very little from yourselves. The first amendment does not protect you from the ramifications of your foolish mouths. Boycott any santa clara police functions and community sponsorship from santa clara police. We support kaepernick , not your police . Hopefully your reputation is tainted.

Living by this station sucks. There s a cop car passing down my street several times per hour. I don t feel safe waking on the sidewalk at night because of them. Nothing dangerous happens here, they just harass people of color or homeless people. They WILL follow you, especially if you are colored. Sometimes I like to have a cigarette and side on the ledge by the sidewalk and many times have the cops pull up in front of me interrogating me like I did something wrong. I once sat on the bus stop on el Camino and Scott and a squad car kept patrolling around me before asking me it I was lost. IM WAITING FOR MY BUS. I ll walk to the store across the street and a squad car will drive slowly and shine their lights at me as they pass by. It is the most degrading feeling in the world. It feels as if it s illegal to exist outside.

I don't have an experience...just want to say, you have been in the news and will get negative feedback, but know that plenty of America stands with you! We love our cops! And...you have the RIGHT to NOT work those games for the 49ers! Let them hire private security, if they can! Many don't realize that cops work those games on their time OFF. At least that's how it is in my state. Yes, they are paid, but by the league...and they must be in their off time. So it cannot be required of an officer to work it! SO THEREFORE THE OFFICERS HAVE A RIGHT TO NOT WORK IT! So shame on those people here trying to shame the police by saying they need to protect the people at the game...NO...THAT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE NFL. LET THEM HIRE PRIVATE SECURITY...IF THEY CAN! They may not find anybody willing to work security so long as Kaepernick is there and protesting cops! Cops work the games on their own time...THEN LET KAEPERNICK PROTEST ON HIS OWN TIME!

God bless Santa Clara Police. When I was there last, I hung around all the neighborhoods... ate at many restaurants and walked extensively. I felt safe the whole time. I saw the police all over the city. They often waved to me with polite gestures. I never had a concern. Santa Clara is such a wonderful city. I appreciate the police officers in Santa Clara, Cupertino, San Jose and all up and down that area. I pray for them and their families. The 49er's quarterback, (I will not say his name), should be ashamed! Santa Clara police and nearly all police officers wish to keep Americans safe. PERIOD! No matter the race of the citizen.

Santa Clara PD is one of the worst PD'a to deal with in all of CA.

They came to my school for career day and they are the nicest people I ever met they really inspire me and they can inspire other.

Called to make a report and got transferred 5 times so I said forget it.

This department is actively working to suppress free speech. This is NOT upholding the Constitution and the values our American soldiers fought for and died to protect.

I was literally laughed at by an officer after being told on the phone I should come in and give a statement on something that had just occurred. I only wanted to give information but apparently there was no point and this was a laughable occurrence. All the officer did was write down information on myself and nothing about the incident. Frankly to be treated this way by an officer is disgusting. Nothing will be done I m sure.

You are right! A hostile work environment is being developed and antagonized. It is one thing to choose to sit down, it is a whole other thing to openly run around on an employers property with pig socks, promote Castro at a presser and criticise those protecting you. This puts your safety and lives in danger. Blue Lives Matter!

Most professional, customer service oriented police department I have encountered in the Bay Area.

Dealing with this department was one of the worst experiences I ve ever had with the police, they gave my in-laws a false information, completely lied to our face about the situation. (Side note) All the police women At the police station spent more time getting their make up done instead of focusing on the citizens.
If you want to look like that go to a club!!! You look like a strippers that are about to enter a bachelor party!!
And of course the department who are supposed to help the citizens and prevent crime are the ones causing the crimes themselves, and it s not under control. Im more scared to call 911 for help, all they send is more killers.

Stop trying to render services and recognize what every servicemen and normal American is doing. This isn't disrespect to you but the disrespect to those officers you allow to commit crimes!!

To see people just give some terrible ratings to the Santa Clara Police Department sickens me. Sure some officers feel not to contribute their security to the 49ers, where as many people do not agree with Colin Kaepernicks' stands, but the Officers can have a view as well. To be "attacked" by negative reviews on simply how officers say/think on the matter should not block why this ratting system is in place. This is for the Police Department itself and how helpful/useful they were to people who HAVE visited the Department, not for some point-of-views.

Officer Wright and his sidekick, the tallest officer of the force are first and foremost getleman of the highest caliber. Chief Selllers knows how to pick em. The whole force has alwats been kind and nice. Wright uses hus head in every situation and will be Sergeant soon abd higher.

I just called today and asked for information about getting a copy of a police report, they were Very nice and gave me all the information I needed.

By threatening not to attend 49er's games in lieu of Kaepernick's legal right to sit during the National Anthem, the Santa Clara Police, as an organization, are willfully putting thousands of lives at risk. Does this precinct really need to fuel the growing stigma against police in our country?

The "police" a.k.a "bullies with a badge" should not be in the position they are. How can you break someone's leg and then not help them? Didn't want to get her water, didn't want to move the cuffs, and didn't want to get support for her leg. They treated her like she murdered someone. I'm glad she won. Every lawsuit the police cause should mean a cut in their paycheck. Then hopefully chiefs will actually start punishing the police instead of defending them. You're job is to serve and protect. Not bully and cause injuries.
