San Deck, always good food and experience. However the bar service inside can be improved a whole lot.

The Sandton Sun is easily the byword for luxury and sophistication. The hotel makes a striking impression from the moment you walk in, with a dramatic 10 metre-high wall fountain acting as the background for rich wood tones and plush carpets. The African theme can be visible through subtle undertones and decorations, which proves to be elegant and true-to-location without being overbearing. The rooms are also plushly appointed, with the white and silver bases being complemented by colorful paintings and decorative pillows. The bathroom are also beautiful, and the customisable shower settings added yet another level of attention to the individual client. Breakfast at the San restaurant is also a treat. Begin with the multitude of cold choices, from fresh fruits to charcuterie (the butter fish was delicious), before continuing to the wide array of hot dishes. But what truly set the experience apart was the service. Everywhere you turn, there is a friendly staff member who is ready to assist you. This was not just present in the restaurant, but also at the concierge, check-in, and room service departments. Bravo to the Sandton Sun!

Warning - do NOT ask the hotel to send a taxi to pick you up at the airport. It cost me 800 Rand when it should have cost 200-300 no more.

When in SA download Uber app. I used it several times, it was cashless and most journeys cost 200 Rand more or less.

Stayed here for 2 nights over New year's, location was perfect, service was great and super convenient as it's connected to Sandton city mall. Room was very neat, breakfast was delicious, they catered for all palettes. Staff were very friendly, check in and check out was seamless. Turn down service with the little Lindt chocolates was a nice treat. Overall a fantastic place that I will return to!

A really plush place to lodge and really have amazing food. The hotel alone is such a scenery and could be your first tour in Johannesburg.

I went to the Business Suite for a seminar. Every single staff member has a 'I want to help you' attitude. They are all smiling and happy. It is clearly a good organisation to work for.
The decor is amazing. That giant chandelier is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It is droppingly spectacular.
The food (except for the arrival snacks; stinky cheese biscuits and muffins) was exceptional. The chef even parted with her potato salad recipe.
While I cannot comment on the accommodation, it is a perfect place for a day visitor.
I look forward to having another opportunity to visit.

Such an amazing hotel went for conferences around and I didn't need to exit the building there was a bridge connecting the hotel to the conference building and not to mention that it was also connected to a mall so everything was just there

My wife Judy and I spent our wedding night on 16/12/1992 at Sandton Sun and decided to stay there for the weekend of our 25th wedding anniversary from 15-17/12/2017. The on line booking process went without a hitch. We booked nearly 8 months in advance, and there were no problems on our arrival.

Despite being crowded with ANC delegates from the 2017 Nasrec conference, Sandton Sun staff were fantastic and we were treated to world-class service . We particularly appreciate being upgraded from a Junior to a Full suite an anniversary surprise, compliments of Sandton Sun.

Room service was excellent, although there was a hitch in that in middle of our dinner we received a call asking for cash payment. However, the issue was quickly resolved and we could enjoy our high quality food (chicken thai soup, caprese salad and toasted sandwich). The suite itself had incredible views and was large, spacious, clean and well decorated, complete with a modern kitchenette, excellent bathroom amenities and an extra king size.

We chose to eat our breakfast (included in the cost of the room) at The Atrium - service and food was exceptional both days. Our anniversary guests enjoyed the meal as much as we did. Ultimately, the stand out memory was the excellent service received from all Sandton Sun staff, from the porter to the management.

Once again thank you. We made some marvellous memories, largely due to the excellence of Sandton Sun.

I was in the business centre. The place is expertly managed, from front desk to staff at your back and call at the boardroom.
