It has got nice platinum suites of which one of them is where Tata Mandela used to stay when he is there. The suites have been named Nelson Mandela Suites. If I had money, I would book myself there for a week on a special occasion. Thank you

... I spent 2 days here. Was given a room full of dust... And was moved to another room... As I showed them the dust... I didn't enjoy myself here. It was a waste of money... I expected more from Sandton Sun... I wonder who is a manager here...

Our stay at the sandton sun was amazing as always. Been staying there since a small child and visiting the gazebo for coff and treats and now with the new revamp, its even more stunning than before. Romm service was delicious. Toasted cheese the old style and a vanilla milkshake to keep u smiling. Rooms were luxurious and the breakfast to die for. Staff and well trained, efficient and pleasant. One evening our turn down service was delayed due to us but they gladly turned down and the room looked as though they had recleaned. So impressed by the cleanliness. The family room is very spacious and value for money. Love this place since a little child and glad my kids are getting to enjoy the opulence as well.

The restaurant makes the best mushroom risotto in JHB and they have excellent service with convenient parking. It's a bit of a maze to walk through and find - you may get lost on your walk about so don't be shy to ask someone for directions or to confirm you're headed in the right direction.

Convenient location, rooms are thoughtful, decent power hairdryers, and sumptuous breakfast that can also be served in your room at no extra cost. Attentive service, but you now pay for shoe cleaning.

Sandton sun is very impressive, the food is good and the terrasse has a nice vibe. Of course it does not really represent South Africa but it sill a good place to come and have a drink at a fair price.

Nice hotel, with reasonable gym, good sized rooms. I really enjoyed the breakfast, lots of choice, many fresh juices and fruits, good patries. The real downside: every room is very noisy for two reasons: 1.) The windows are single pane, so even in the 19th floor (of 20) you here every car honking in the street below 2.) The doors to the patio are not soundproof at all. These is actually a gap of a few centimeters at the bottom. You thus here all the music and voices coming from the restaurants in the patio on the 6th floor. I could only sleep with ear plugs, very annoying.

The Sandton Sun has modern sized rooms in a top location, the Sandton City Shopping Mall with its shops, restaurants and banks is connected to the hotel. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is sensational, you can eat inside or outside on the terrace.
