Excellent shop to sell bordets and sea clothes and there is a coffee shop in the same place for the beach and clothing prices are excellent and at hand and possible to rent the board or buy a board and a shop in the ice cream and coffee variety recommend the shop and its owner is very respected and friendly and is in the middle of a commercial complex on the beach opposite the sea and for color stalls

Friendly, helpful staff make your rental and surfing experience all the better. Shower facilities makes post-surfing bliss.

Once again a fantastic experience for my children participating in junior surf camp! Super friendly and efficient staff and the coaches have been awesome in teaching and encouraging my boys.

My wife and I have been doing the learn to surf program for the past 2 month. It has been the best experience. The coaches are awesome, really helpful with tips and tricks and just make your time out in the water really fun. We will definitely be signing up again next year.

I rented a surfboard there.the service provided was really good and uncomplicated. Staff is insanely friendly and helpful! I had the feeling that those guys really love surfing and do not only see business! Go there you won't be disappointed!

I visited surf emporium to rent a wetsuit and board as I have only ever surfed once before. From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly and organized. They taught me about the different boards and let me keep my keys safe while I surfed. When I returned, someone welcomed me back...asked me how my surf was and helped me return my board...organized!

My son attended a surf camp in the holidays. I was impressed with the organisation of the camp, the amazing ratio of coaches to children and the overall thought and care that has been taken to make it a memorable experience. I would highly recommend having a go!

I have a little grandchild who has Rett syndrome... The love and care that Roxy and her amazing team put into give to all of these special needs people is unpresidented. To see my little girl out in the waves surrounded by these dedicated people was a joy that I find hard to describe. My family have never surfed so we booked a lesson. My sons reckon the best day ever and the fantastic instructors got us all standing up. A really great team at Surf Emporium, we will be back. An added benefit is Hudson's Burgers is next door for great post surf refreshments

Friendly service. R50 per day gets you a locker (bring your own combination lock) and a shower facility. But they rent out wetsuits and boards as well. Sorry, didn't get the prices but Google them for info.

Average teachers and the surf boards and wet suits are a bit outdated (didn't have a board my size) Cheap price at roxys but pay the extra $$ at a surf school such as Garys and get the proper experience and help.

Bad service. They want to tell you the conditions after payment. I do not recommend dealing with them. There are other better stores

One of the best spots to rent surfboards in Muizenberg. Very big selection. But I'm missing Mini Simmons rental boards.

Bestest surf place ever. They sort out everything you need: board, suit, changeroom, locker, hot shower, great coffee after the surf. The friendliest okes around and affordable pricing. Love these guys!

A surf shop where you can also hire gear to surf. They also offer surfing lessons and have lockers instore for safekeeping of your personal items.

By far my favorite surf shop! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great vibe and low prices, not to mention the massive range of boards available for rent. I love surfing anyway but a shop like this makes surfing even better :)

Surf Emporium is the bomb! We had my son's birthday party with them. 25 x 6 year olds learning to surf at once cannot be easy, but they pulled it off without a hitch. They were professional but easy going and relaxed. Completely adaptable to changing circumstances and very accommodating of all our special requests. Nothing was to much trouble, or could not be executed. Highly recommended.

Love this place! Friendly, helpful staff, good quality boards and wetsuits. When you hire gear or get lessons you have access to a locker and a change room with showers which is so convinient. The shop is located directly over the road from Muizenburg beach which is an ideal place for catching good waves and for learning how to surf. If you are looking for lessons I would also recommend the instructors here.

Great place with very attentive staff! I got my first surf lesson there. The guys are very motivating and extremely friendly. I was on the board on my first day.

Great surf lesson, instructors were super friendly & encouraging, kids loved it! Bit of a mad house, especially on a Sunday with no parking & people everywhere. It wouldn't surprise me if they were missing inventory; we could've easily walked away with the board we hired and the rash vests & no-one would've known. The hectic atmosphere and queues in the bathrooms was not desirable but, a positive sign of their popularity. Overall, recommended... just get there early in busy seasons to allow time amongst the chaos.
