Your experience starts & ends with a meandering drive thru some sand hills and pine trees, as you catch a glimpse of the Sandbox (aka short course) and the driving range. The service was A++ from everyone on property; from the guests services, bag drop, restaurant, golf shop, caddies, etc...We ve golfed here on several occasions and will be back every year. Both courses are similar yet, offer plenty of opportunities for golfers of all skill levels to have a great round. As a walking only course, the rounds aren t slow, as you can hardly ever lose a golf ball and rangers help ensure the pace of play is adhered to. Don t skip out on the fabulous breakfast (restaurant) or tacos at Craig s porch. Highly recommended to every golfer of every skill level. Definitely a bucket list course for everyone. Thanks for a great experience.

Never seen anything like it and I have played some amazing courses on the top 100 golf digest list. I just don't know how it can get any better than Sand Valley Resort and Mammoth Dunes is spectacular as well. Greens perfect course playes fast n firm. Great for golfers of all levels as they have 6 tee boxes to play from. The tips are 7k and plays alot shorter if you hit driver and catch speed slots. Can't wait to go back and only a 3 hour ride, you can easily make it a day trip and play both courses. The practice area is phenomenal.

Sand Valley was an amazing experience.

Sand Valley was an amazing experience.
We had a group of 8 that traveled up the weekend before Memorial day (last week) 2021.
Checked in early on Saturday (Fairway Lodge) where the rooms were so clean, spacious and convenient. 18 at Mammoth Dunes followed up by Dinner at Aldo's (Go Family Style with a large group) food was great and inexpensive $80-$105 per guy with tip depending on if you were drinking alcohol and they easily could have charged double. Next day we played Sand Valley and followed it up with the Sandbox. We then moved into a residence at the Glacier lakes cottage, WOW!!!! That house was awesome. Great for entertaining the group that evening. No need to leave the property. SandValley has it all for you. Where the could charge more for food and beverage on-site they don't. Cant wait to get back up there.

Oh - Play the Sandbox with a group of 8 barefoot with some beverages... such a cool experience.

The best part that no one talks about is the trampoline sound the ball makes when it lands on the green.
Not sure if that sound lasts forever, but the greens are still relatively new and it's amazing.

That and the food and drinks on course are super cheap.

Wonderful food and hiking trails even for non-golfers! They have done an amazing job restoring native habitats around their course and have lots of butterflies and song birds to watch. Also, like their farm to table food and native prairie plants.

Destination golf at its finest. The staff is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Courses have room off tee but the greens provide a stiff challenge. The caddies are pro jocks, take one for sure. The pro shop is SICK. Food and drink are INSANELY reasonable. It s just a special place and they treat guests the right way.

C&C Sand Valley course *** so wide as to be unstrategic. Greens fast, easy to read. Shot under my handicap easily with no stress. Beautiful turf conditions, extremely straightforward.

Mammoth Dunes tremendous. Much more interesting greens and land. ***** . A great and beautiful walk, too.

One of the top places to visit in Wisconsin for golf. Played sand valley early. Everything was well kept, overall great course. Challenge from the tips is there, but nothing too hard. Can still hit errant shots and scramble for par due to the bunker fairways. Respectful staff. Recommended visit for all. Only thing is price. They're close to levels of the straits/other high tier courses in the US in terms of price. Which I don't think they are there yet. Tee boxes need to be built for shorter tees, rather than fairway. Nobody likes teeing off a fairway while paying close to top price. I'd pay $160, off season, tops. Anything more is overpaying for what is offered currently. But all in all, it is relatively new so I'm sure management will continue to make a better course.
