Came to enjoy a spa day before baby is due. Every staff member I encountered was extremely professional and attentive from the front desk to the women's locker room attendant (Maria) and my massage therapist (Paula). The amenities were on point and everything was well kept. I recommend you check out the Spa at the Sanctuary if you're looking for relaxing spot to treat yourself.

A place that lives up to it's name! We visited Elements restaurant there for a small corp team breakfast and had a wonderful event. There are a number of different areas that allow an intimate and private feeling for the diners, even though it's a large venue. The floor to ceiling windows afford a breathtaking view of Paradise Valley and the Praying Monk on Camelback Mountain. Looking over the scenery makes one feel truly serene! Add to that great food and service and the result is five stars!

If there were more stars, I d use em but suffice to say this place is off the charts. From the bell staff, front desk to the kitchen, the rooms, pool hosts, the spa... on man the spa!!! Literally not a thing could be better. Sure it could be cheaper, but would it still be as good? Probably not. I ve never spent this much on an vacation but hands down I d spend double to come back here. Food was unbelievable, the Jade Bar and its staff were so fun and cool it made getting drunk even more fun than usual. Room service was prompt and courteous and incredibly professional. Not a single person, staff nor guest was anything other than awesome. I could go on and on but my wife and I enjoyed our 7th anniversary getaway and how every staff member seemed to know why we were there and made interactions personal and personable. I m not one to gush over things but this place changed me on that. I cannot wait to come back.

Full disclosure, I have not even visited this hotel, but I had to share my positive customer service experience with Marilyn and Stacy K (in reservations). I was trying to plan a trip for a friend of mine who needs special accommodations and they went above and beyond to answer questions and accommodate my friend's needs. If my customer service experience is any indication of how guests are treated at their resort, then it must be an incredible experience. Thank you Marilyn and Stacy for your time, kindness, empathy, and competence. You are both gems.

The overall theme of this hotel is that it s good from afar but up close, you see cracks. Literally and figuratively.

The pros:
- cocktails at jade bar are inventive and feels more like a swanky mixologist lounge than a hotel bar
- the architecture of the buildings and backdrop of camel back are beautiful
- the valet crew, bell desk, and restaurant manager were all extremely attentive and friendly
- the massage at the spa was great. My therapist listened and really focused on my pain points

The cons:
- the A/C in the room had two settings: gale force winds that literally made the hanging lights sway or just off and letting desert heat win. This made for very uncomfortable and challenging sleeping bc you never quite had a temperature regulated room
- there were small blood stains on the duvet cover.
- the bathroom smelled like sewage
- not all of the bedroom windows had curtains so when you try to get that awesome hotel blackout effect you can t because there are open windows.
- there is a bit of aging and disrepair happening. I noticed in the spa that the ceiling was peeling in the lobby. The curtains in our room had stains.
- the restaurant disappointed in both food and service. We heard that it was due to a new menu so this could be temporary . And as mentioned above the manager went above and beyond to take our feedback and ensure we had a plan b for the night
- at night there aren t enough ground guide-lights so you have to use a cell phone to make sure you re not missing a step.
- there s no sound proofing in the rooms. We literally heard a fork drop as the neighbors were being delivered room service. It was as if it were in our own room. And during the evening when a wedding was taking place at the hotel, the bass from the party was beating like a drum in our bedroom
- the spa amenities are limited. There s a very small hot tub and a eucalyptus steam room. For a resort at this level you d want to see a dry sauna and bathing suit drying service etc.

After having spent the first half of our week at the canyon suites I can say that if you want quiet luxury I d recommend going there. Sanctuary has the potential for greatness but it just seemed like a miss for us this time.

My favorite staycation resort in all of AZ. The spa is the crown jewel imo and laying by the pool is a great way to spend time after a treatment. Rooms and restaurant are on point, try to catch a sunset if possible. Staff is consistently friendly, professional and courteous. All around a wonderful experience.

Staff was amazing and food was always good. I was however surprised with almost $2,000 in unexplained charges. They apologized and said they would refund card in 3 ish days. That s the only resolution as of now. If you book here just beware and watch your credit card statements. You are also paying for a hold of $200 dollars on your last checkout date for some reason. Will be trying another resort next time. 1/10 on transparency and 9/10 on customer care once you get there.

Love this spa and their infinity pool! Great staff, services and amenities. Private women only eucalyptus steam room and hot tub. Relaxation room, complimentary tea, nice big showers, etc. Food & drink by the pool is great but kinda pricey. Will definitely return!

i booked a girls spa day for my best friend s birthday, and it exceeded my expectations! i have been to my fair share of day spas and this is by far my absolute favorite! the ambience is perfect with the water features and dim lighting; so luxurious and relaxing i did not want to ever leave! we spent the day laying by the pool, having drinks, and enjoying the steam room, jacuzzi, etc. the staff members at the pool and in the spa go above and beyond to make sure you have the most amazing experience. i will definitely be back soon!
plus they have deals when you book during a weekday as well.

The Sanctuary truly is a special gem ...spa overall is wonderful and atmosphere is so refreshing. Sadly my short trip didn't allow for the wonderful food I enjoyed here before. Service is also very welcoming and good. It is worth noting that if your using the spa, note the session starts the moment you are picked up. I had expected a 60 minute massage but later was told my session ended earlier because that "60 minute massage" starts when masseuse comes to get you. I will be back but I plan to talk and walk fast to the treatment room.
