The doctor was very good, however I had an 11:00 am appointment I arrived at 10:30 a.m. And checked in then went for a cup of coffee. Returned st 10:45 for my appointment. After waiting an hour and a half I went to the desk, they said I was next. Finally at 1:10pm I got in. The girl in back said they had called me in st 10:40 . I was not there cause my appointment was not until 11:00. The people at the fRont desk I feel are to blame, and if you complain they just don't care. When I had left for coffee the person at the fRont desk said ok just be back before 11:00 which I was

Most of the staff are Vets themselves and have always treated me like family. I could never thank them enough for the care they have provided me and the respect they have shown me.

San Francisco VA medical facility is for veterans, very good quality Hospital.
I personally have had several operations here. I've had Hart and shoulders operations I am currently being seen in neurology psychologist, also it's where a veteran can come to and be safe for any reason whatsoever, everything is here, it's like a little city if you guys are in distress you need something if you think you need something, come in and talk to somebody they're always willing to help and they do go out of their way

There are caring and compassionate doctors and clinicians here and I really appreciate them. Much!
There are a few who are unkind and dissmissive, even ageist sometimes, and I wonder why they chose this profession. Ditto on a few clerks. But the grouches and the arrogant are easy to forget because they are outnumbered and outclassed by the good gals and guys. By the way, special shout out to the Women's Clinic!
This is why it is so important NOT to privatize the VA; most federal employees serve veterans well. Kudos! Give 'em a raise!

I get better care in my VA world than i get in outside medical world!

My experience here is mixed. Most of the time I am happy with the services here, but once in a while I do receive bad service. However, as for VA medical center, this one is already the good one. So here I gave 5 stars. Keep up the good work!

answer. transfer.
far superior to GLA. b.t.w. most one star reviews tell more about the reviewer than the facility, generally true, whiners who didn't learn any discipline in their attendance to duty w/DOD. I could be wrong but usually not.
I ask for give ness in advance from those one star reviewers for the above insult, Please join me in advancement and maturation.
Thanks.
Smiles,
R.
P.s., Dears; For those "thumb's up" readers of mine, I've an issue for you to ponder, a judge in a u.s. district court ruled " ... citizens have NO Right to join the military ... (paraphrase) ... "; And, I wonder If you care to Help undo the precedent of the jurist's finding.

VA has the best medical care of my life. My great docs (all borrowed from UCSF Medical Center) have saved my life repeatedly. Just a note about the harsh criticism I see from Vets, sometimes. Vets, especially combat vets are some of the crabbiest, grumpy people I know. Hard to please. Me too. No medical care system is perfect. They are all run by humans. I need a break. I give them a break. PS: Thank you again for saving my life.
